I love Home depot. I just wish the selection of lumber was checked better before it gets out into the store. I'm constantly rummaging through all of the scrappy wood to get to the Better, more straight lumber in the back of the piles.

Decent store. Horrible return policy. They use a third party that approves but mainly denied returns even if you never returned at homedepot. You can't exchange homedepots own in-house brands for other items without a receipt. Even if the item is a gift and still new sealed in the package. It's insane.

January 18, 2024. Auburn Maine Home Depot The lady at the self check out makes a side remark to me. “Are you sure that you got everything rung up? That’s a lot of stuff for $18.” My suggestion would be if you think that I’m stealing something you come out and say it. I bought five electrical outlets and five wall plates and a couple old work boxes. The folks at Lowe’s might be a little bit nicer. I’ll try them next time instead.

Because of a series of recent bad experiences at Lowe's, I thought I would write a positive review about my local Home Depot. As a contractor, I am at this store frequently. They have always taken good care of me and my needs, especially the staff at the pro-desk. About the only negative I have is the fact Home Depot has a bad tendency to close isles down (for safety I imagine) when moving things around with forklifts. Unfortunately, the pro-desk at this store sits right next to the pallets of sheetrock. Which means, when those pallets have to be moved, the pro-desk is inaccessible. When in a hurry, this can be VERY frustrating.

I love Home Depot, always have! Home Depot is a store where any half smart fella with Youtube and a little mechanical inginuity can fix all the simple stuff in a house that needs fixing without paying big bucks to have it done.

This place is like Disney but without the Rides. A lot of walking around in circles, long waits and lines, you spend way too much money when you go, the staff is all tired and make appearances, with people flocking to them when they see the Orange cape, then they disappear just as fast, the food from the vendor out front is greasy and over priced, AND Some body is mad, & some body is crying! Order online and have it delivered. They do not take refunds after 90 days, so don't buy supplies ahead. I do not like Home Depot, I do not like Lowe's, I spend too much money when We Go! 😜

Ordered some flooring which they outsourced delivery to another company the window we were given was 6 am to 8pm. Texted that they were out for delivery around 8am. At 2 pm I called Home depot for an update. An angry woman answered and told me they didn't know and refused to give me the outsource companies name so I could obtain an update then proceeded to tell me "if your father didn't want to wait he should have paid the extra fee for a smaller delivery window" a shady offer that was never even mentioned. My senior father and I stood in the rain at our project house for 11 hours only to get a phone call saying they were late and it would be some time after 8 pm or we could get a window the next day between 7 and 11 am. An enterprise rental truck finally rolled up at 9 am the next day. And the two young men asked us to help them unload the delivery we paid for. So my 70 year old father and I had to help as they were obviously uncertain how to do so and almost dropped our flooring 3 times off the back once almost ONTO my father, I ended up with a sprained ankle slipping on the wet grass between where they dropped them and the actual house and for all of our effort the product came covered with rocks and gravel in between the the flooring packs which scuffed it all up. They promised to drop it wherever we needed and it ended up across the yard from the house. This debacle cost over 2 grand.... Go to Lowe's this place is a joke.

Wanted to give a huge shoutout to Ben the manager for his incredible customer service. He helped us when we were experiencing an issue with a previous store. If it wasn’t for him we would not have come back! Go Ben! Thank you for your hard work!

I'm very disappointed. Had my father in law call to see about getting 2 doors placed on hold for my mother to pick up after work. They said they wouldn't hold anything unless is was paid in full for, that's fine can you make a note for the night staff that a lady will be in around 7pm to get said doors as she will need help getting and loading them? Yes, that's fine. have "insert name" and let customer service know they are here, and they will get her the said doors. Fast forward to 7 and low and behold, no one knows a damn thing, and my mom is there. The gentlemen working in the door and window department could give a $hit less and not pass along any information. I am very unsatisfied and will be taking my home improvement business elsewhere even though my husband has a Home Depot card.

Just got my new Husky tool box hooked up , & I love it ! I was using a 4 drawer tool cart from Harbor freight , & it wasn't big enough anymore . This 46" work bench should take me a little while to fill up ....

My wife and I are doing a full remodel, and even though we are finding most of what we are looking for, there are some things we can not get, able to get paneling, but no paneling transitions. Needed 2.5-inch brads, had to buy 2 inches of two times more than I needed, and I would like to know what happened to the price of silicone caulking, one day $7 a tube, the next day $13 a tube!!

I've never had a problem with the Auburn Maine Home Depot and I go there frequently since purchasing my house. My compliments to the paint department crew for resolving my issue so professionally. As long as our local Home Depot continues to employ top notch, friendly people I'll continue to be a customer.

Bought a 20" Ryobi Electric Lawnmower (not the self propelled version). Super impressive machine. I really put it through its paces with some 24" tall grass.

If your buying at the store and taking it home right away it's great, ordering online is a 50/50 if its going to be on time, broken, or left in some odd place as well as they give you a 12 hour window for delivery.

Never again will I give home depot my buisness, tens of thousands of dollars spent on lumber and tools at this location no more , yesterday I went in to exchange my milwaukee m12 multi tool that i purchased 3 weeks prior, when I got to the counter the first girl was new and was trying to locate my recipt, a senior employee then took over and was immeadeatly nasty with me making me feel like I stole the tool or something because I didn't have my recipt in hand.... upon giving her my debit card she located the recipt and always seemed angry she did.. then she tells me she will not warranty exchange it and they will no longer do any milwaukee returns in store, I spend well over online pricing on all my milwaukee tools here for the ease of being able to warranty them in store and now they just shut that off? Terrible customer service and an upsurge policy change...

Just purchased a new John Deere riding lawnmower and when it was delivered I had a few issues with it. I contacted Andrew the store manager and he took care of all of my problems! Way to go above and beyond thank you Home Depot!

We needed to look at hot water tanks and get info and etc. Scott was more than helpful from talking to us, helping us pick out things for the tank, telling us about his experiences in the field, and so on! BIG Store, everyone was friendly and helpful. Bought a propane grill, kitchen faucet and shower head. Prefer local hardware stores for most things except big $ items and variey you get here.

Asked an employee where I could find toung and groove boards her response "we have them somewhere " and then she walked off..... yup lowes is where it's at. Spend thousands at these stores. Well lowes will get all my business now.

It's crowded, there's never enough help. I ordered curbside, but there was only one person in customer service, so I gave up sitting on hold, waiting for someone to answer my call and went inside. I was the third person in line, had to wait 10 minutes, then when I got to the head of the line, the person behind the counter answered the phone and went out to take care of a curbside customer who hadn't been there when I arrived! My order wasn't up front, so I went back out to my truck and had to wait another 10 minutes. The whole visit should have taken 5 minutes, but took almost 30. The woman in customer service was very nice- it totally wasn't her fault that they were so understaffed- but there's a reason I like Lowe's so much better!

We had placed an order online and was supposed to be able to pick it up around 2 hours later. We came to the store about 5 hours later and our item had not been picked up and brought to the front. Really unfortunate and we were on a time limit and needed to get the item.The staff were nice and understanding and was able to send someone to the back to grab our item.
