This department store (and this branch) provide good service and any savvy shopper doesn't rely on a single visit to guarantee selection, prices etc. That being said, a shirt, jewelry, shoes, jeans and khakis all for less than $100! The staff even made the effort to confirm pricing when the register rang up prices than the signage.

I’m very disappointed in how this location treated me and my child. We had an old lady follow us to every department we went to like we were thieves or criminals. We came in the side door looking for towels. They used to be right out in the open. Me and my 9 year old had to walk the whole store looking at different things until we noticed the home collection sign near ceiling. Ahh finally we get there and of course not much for selection, however the lady followed us every where we went until we paid at register. We were dressed nice no back backs no reason to think we would steal a single thing. she could hear me saying I don’t know where they moved towels to. Next time instead of making us feel like we are nothing you could say oh I’ll show you where to find that. How rude of your employee to single us out. It’s been days since we were there and this still sticks with me. Jc penny treat your customers better!

Their was a young blonde female working sept 1st the service desk. She was extremely helpful with helping my child find what we needed. From now on they will be the first place I shop when needing something they have. Online or in store. Above and beyond customer service.

My 12 year old son went into the men's changing room and thank God he seen all the needles sticking out of the chair. How could someone be so inconsiderate... Please be careful school shopping this year as idiots have nothing better to do... But on the other side I told the cashier Linda very kind lady and showed the picture she called for help immediately. And thanked us for noticing. We waited 5-10 min. AND NO ONE CAME TO ADDRESS THE ISSUE THAT SHOULDVE BEEN TAKING CARE OF IMMEDIATELY...

Have always enjoyed shopping at this store nice quality apparel at fair prices, that said not much athletic wear for women at this store such as Addis or Nike. The staff at this JCPenney is pleasant and helpful.

Needed some new clothes for work. Found 4 pair for only $18. In big men sizes. Also found 4 nice shirts for $22. were better quality than I generally buy. Overall very happy with all the stuff in stock and my sizes.Great day of shopping!!!

A great store is now barely staying open.Most registers are closed. Open 1/2 a day.Bare and switch on their sale racks.Use to love this store.

I think it is little bit expensive. Maybe because I don't use there credit card. Also I don't benefit from rewards on each transaction. That is something only there membres can take advantage of. Otherwise, I really love their clearance sections, they always have so many options. The staff are so friendly, however there are not enough of them.They always have seals going on.

We had a mix up with scheduling a hair appointment at the salon. We didn't realize we booked at the South Portland location and wanted it in Auburn. When we showed up at the Auburn salon we realized our error. Heather, Angie and Debi were accommodating and Debi stayed late to get our daughter's hair done. Thank you!!

Online said store opens at 10am. But, it’s not open. I see a worker in the store, but the store is closed. I drove 1 hour to sit near the door watching the workers. Please fix your online store hours.

I absolutely love this Penny's!!! We were visiting from out of state and needed swim clothes for the pool at our hotel; Penny's didn't disappoint!!! And at the end of October! I was pleased to find exactly what we needed for my kiddos; on CLEARANCE!! The store is nice and clean and the staff is very pleasant. I wish our Maryland store was as nice as this one!! Well done. They get 5 🌟

I was looking for a new purse to take on a trip. This JC Penny is kind of small to me, but they had plenty of purses and wallets to choose from. In fact, I got a very nice leather cross-body purse and a new wallet. However, I do feel like I overpaid for what I got. I remember being a teenager in the 90s and JC Penny was one of my favorite stores for clothes. It's convenient to have a store nearby.

The clothing is great, the service is great, the store is out dated and has been for Years... The bathrooms could be up dated with auto flush, handicap buttons on bathroom doors that are handicap accessible.I'm a man of cleanliness, could we possibly get some disinfectant wipes on the wall for toilet seats/ And The floor where we drop are pants

Loved my experience there, how could I not. Was outfitting my girlfriend with some new clothes and had about $300 worth of clothes that after the cashier's friendly advice, coupons and discounts I paid a little over $65.Needless to say, I am one very satisfied customer and will definitely be shopping there again.

Sadly - this company is finished. When you can no longer reach a human at the customer service number - it's over. For YEARS I purchased Stafford Executive suits (Made by Hartmarx) And then they switched manufacturers.. and lessened the quality - and then I switched suit retailers. Once a Great family oriented store.. then one by one .. the standards got lowered to save a few bucks. But the phone thing was the last straw. I won't swim upstream to do business with a retailer. Too many others wanting to help me out.

Great sales!!! However, be prepared to wait in long lines to pay because after 3 visits over a week and a half, there's always very few registers being manned. It's also very difficult to find anyone if you need assistance. When I found someone who worked in the store, they were quite lovely... There just aren't enough people.

So many items on sale or clearance!!!! For most of my kids back to school shopping done. And paid way less than I would have if I had waited. So very pleased with my experience, as far as what was available and the prices. However, the checkout line was long and there wasn't many checkout counters.
