I recently had a fantastic shopping experience at Hannaford Supermarket in Auburn, Maine. The store was clean, well-organized, and had a wide selection of fresh produce, meats, and pantry staples. The staff were friendly and helpful, making my visit enjoyable. I'll definitely be returning for my grocery needs!

I would say that this is a medium-sized Hannaford and mid-aged Hannaford. Nothing special, nothing bad. Can get busy at peak times with a mix of people and personalities from all walks of life. This can make the parking lot an adventure at times. The employees and customer service here is top notch.

Courtney, the Assistant Manager in “Customer Service” needs a refreshers course.Here’s the story:I had a Long day at work and I had ordered $163 in groceries earlier in the day. I needed to replace the Hot house cucumbers for the regular cucumbers and gather a few more items.. I Flagged down a young man in the store and asked him for help. The young man sent Courtney over to help me. Courtney came over to assist me but a lady skipped me to, “ask a question.” Courtney explained to the lady that she was on her way to help me first. The lady insisted that Courtney help her first and proceeded to skip me. I stated to Courtney that I was asking for help first and should be assisted first. Courtney tells me that I should wait because the Lady only have a question. I insisted on being helped. The lady backed up and Courtney began to grudgingly help me.I am from Florida and new to Maine. In Florida, no one goes for that.. And I will not tolerate such disrespect and disregard. Courtney offered no apology (although the lady did), Courtney only tried to excuse her behavior by being arrogant. Perhaps Courtney’s manager can give some insight on how to handle these type of situations properly. Everyone’s time is their Time. Who are you to appropriate whose time is more important than the other?Because of the aforementioned, I will be taking my business to SHAW’S.Run!! Potential customers- just RUN!

I went into the deli this morning (12-14-23) to get some meats for the week and I over heard an older lady being super snappy to all her coworkers and complaining about somebody im not sure who, but I found it very unprofessional. The way she treated her coworkers was unacceptable and as a result i went to shaws and spent 60$ on deli meats there where I dont have to listen to a grown woman having a temper tantrum. I normally dont have an issue with your deli my favorite two are the shorter chunky girl with glasses and the chunky brunette. theyre always super kind and accommodating and normally can have a nice brief conversation with them. The older lady needs to be talked to and have an attitude adjustment, nobody goes shopping to listen to an employees bad attitude.

The employee self check out was so embarrassing.. I tried to tell him the register was frozen and he yells EBT? I say no it's just frozen... he says very loudly once more yeah you're paying EBT right.. sir.. its frozen.. he says it's due to my method of payment a day there's nothing he can do but wait. I recommended adding a sign to warn customers ( so they can avoid humiliation). I work 6 jobs so im not ashamed i use EBT, i just might as well have stopped everyone in line and told them how id be paying. It started working after a few minutes and I checked out using my debit card. He really needs to learn discretion and volume.

I usually go to the Lewiston Hannafords but this was on my way home today. It's a typical grocery store, with all the departments you'd expect. They didn't have the soda I usually get at the other location, but they did have an ice cream flavor I'm fond of. Everything looked fresh like it always does at Hannaford's and the bakery department does not disappoint. It was kind of busy when I visited on a Sunday afternoon, and the aisles were pretty crowded, but overall this is a nice place right downtown to get groceries.

I enjoy this Hannafords for the location and selection has always been great for me. They even have ordered a better variety of granola a few years back as tgey were just stocking a lot of high fructose mixes and basically sugar cereals. Now they have many brands tend to sell well too. Good meats as I do like my fresh free range chicken, haddock and my veggies are usually lovely as they will get you some out back if they have them.If they are looking nasty as last few tend to or dropped by customers etc. or low on stock. Yogurts and ice cream selections including vegan types wonderful. I am not myself a vegan anymore due to vitamin issues but now eat healthy and enjoy all nature's bounties in good whole vitamins and sunshine. Take care.

I have always had a good experience shopping at Hannaford. But the experience of yesterday was a little hurting. Buying fresh fish to cook, and getting home to realize it has a strong odor, despite applying assorted spices it still remained and i ended up throwing away. Although i still believe in Hannaford with their exceptional fresh food. So just keep up the good faith guys.

Not my favorite Hannaford because the parking lot is always congested and the spaces seem small. That aside the store itself is your typical Hannaford with a great selection and comparable prices and always clean.

I've been shopping at Hannaford's since it was Shop n Save. It's the New England grocery store. They have a wide selection of products and are always well stocked. I've never had a spoiled/rotten/expired product from any of their stores. Their seafood guys are always the best. The staff is generally friendly and helpful. Overall, it's usually a positive shopping experience.

Closing the bakery side doors BEFORE they actually closed upset me. I had to walk to the other side of the parking lot in the dark and alone to get to my vehicle. Yes, they have lights but BOTH lights in row 2 were out leaving that side of the parking lot very dim. I always shop here and usually don't have issues but this incident really bothered me.

Hannaford has really improved over the years. I love shopping here. The prices are a little bit higher than Walmart but it is worth it. I hate Walmart. Thank you Hannaford for the great job you are doing

Some ataff are friendly. Some need a clue. The online order fillers are dangerous when they are not paying attention to the saftey of actual shoppers. Almost colided into me numerous times. Someone's going to get hurt. The deli and their pre packaged meats is convient BUT when tou put those stickers on the package so when you get your product home they might as well give you extra ziplocks because it's fight to get those bags open without destroying it. Oh 1 more thing. They got to STOP allowing people to park in the fire lane out front. Th roads not that wide and when you got some nimrod parked out front or multiple mouth breathers parked out there someonea going to get in an accident whether it's a vehicle or pedestrian shopper.

About five months ago, I wrote a negative review about this store. I would now like to change my opinion. The store is now stocked well. Also, the staff are very helpful and kind. The cashier who helped me today, Amanda, was positive and caring. It really showed that she cares about what she does. Thank you, Amanda! ❤️

I like that I can look through red box movies, buy scratch ticket's and grab everything I need for groceries. I've also used the coin star machine. Never had an issue shopping here. It's better to shop a couple hour's before the store closes. It's less busy for those who prefer avoiding the busy hour's. Please like my comment if you found it helpful 😊

I'm really pleased with Hannaford all the way around. Their staff is more friendly.Store is cleaner. They're really working hard to compete with Walmart whole foods and Shaw's to get healthier options at a more affordable price. And they have all kinds of diet products now. Keto whole30 carnivore and others I'm glad they're starting to take people's health serious and have all kinds of different diet foods available to those who just don't do the standard American diet. So the fact that they have more healthier options available and more options available due to diet plans has makes me very happy. Keep up the good work

So this is my every week grocery store. 90% of my food dollars are spent here. The only negative is the produce section. I've spent hundreds of dollars trying to get a melon that is ripe or that will ripen. Never happens. Honeydew, cantalope, all melons taste like cardboard and will rot before they ripen. No more melons from Hannaford

Stopped in to pick up a few things and the store was fully stocked in all areas. Well maintained. Neat and orderly. I needed help with finding one item (ice) and the cashier was happy to get it for me and place it in my cart. Their prices are competitively better than other supermarkets. Honestly, I can't say enough good things about this location.
