Next to a shopping plaza where I parked my 18 wheeler, Various restaurants within walking distance. Hotel is old, rooms are beaten down, but I had a pleasant stay. No breakfast. Only granola bars. If you request it they will hand you a microwave sausage muffin that is horrible, poison, they should ban those things, I threw mine away. Great location right off the highway, and highway noise was audible from my room.

It's a decent place to stay, certainly better than other low priced hotels I've been to. But at the same time, you're not paying for luxury, so don't expect it. The rooms have all the basic stuff you'd need (bathroom with shower, mini fridge, microwave, coffee maker, etc), and they seem to do a pretty good job getting the rooms cleaned between guests.

Exceptionally clean, we stayed in the suite, would highly recommend. There is also another area, living room with kitchenette, fridge , top stove, dishwasher, eating utensils including plates & glasses, table for 2 with couch & tvI got a jacuzzi room last night, not sure who cleaned room 125 , just wanted to say the maid did a fabulous job 😊

This hotel is in the process of changing from a Fireside Inn to a Quality Inn. They have been updating the interior as well as the exterior of the building. Our room was clean well maintained and appeared to have been renovated within the last year. We left before the breakfast was open but caught a glimpse of the breakfast room on our way out. The breakfast room had been nicely remodeled and they appeared to have an ample variety of breakfast choices. The staff was friendly and helpful and overall the facility exceeded our expectations.

Two pillows had hairs on them. Bathroom light switches and wall dirty. Dust build up on bed head board and lamp shades. Desk was dirty with drink marks and crumbs. Microwave was dirty. The bath tub could use a good cleaning. Walls are pretty thin. You hear your neighbor sneeze. Lol The bed was comfortable and having a Dunkin Donuts right next store is a bonus. Great location off highway.

Very pleasant stay even during the pandemic. Staff I interacted with was very polite. Room was very comfortable. If I had to complain about the room the only thing I could think of is the door was a bit tight to close cause of the weatherproofing and carpet together, but its a non issue.Also love the fact that they allow dogs, even with the $20 a night fee its still truly worth it.All in all with that one night was about $100 which I think is a bargain for this area and getting such nice facilities to stay in.

Nice clean and comfortable room. We needed to use the laundry room since we were in the middle of a cross country move. The machines were clean and in great shape, and the front desk had quarters available. Area was quiet, no traffic noise or crazy people running around at the time. You can't hear people through the walls, however, you can hear everyone very clearly in their rooms while in the hallways. If you're specifically looking for absolutely privacy, please keep this in mind that anyone walking by your room can hear conversation, television, music, phone conversations, etc. This wasn't a concern for us since we just needed a clean place to sleep for the night.

Supposedly the hotel is under new management but the staff seemed untrained and maybe new? Rooms are really dated though supposedly some are renovated this one is straight up 1975. Drawer slides on dresser are totally shot, fridge is missing one foot. Microwave is the smallest one I've ever seen in my life. But over all it is kind of clean and not the worse experience I've ever had in a hotel. With that said if my work wasn't paying for the room I'd never stay here again personally.

This place isn't there yet. An active remodel going on. No sign to direct you to the entrance behind the gas station. I added a star because the front desk was nice and gave use another room after our original smelled like smoke. Our second room was okay except for the mold in the tub. Sort of looked like my bathroom in college. Would have gotten an extra star if this had been a cheap room ($60-$70) but could have had a nicer hotel for the same rate. Was fooled by a 4 star rating that popped up with only one reviewer--probably from the owner. Maybe they can find some bleach and signage--And cover up the exposed wiring.

I stayed here after having a house fire the first room was not Big enough at all for 5 of us so eventually we were moved upstairs to a bigger room the room was nice everything seemed ok until we had some creepy activity going on. It got to the point my body would not let me sleep because I could feel what ever was there I'm not sure if the renovations had kicked up some paranormal activity or if it was just always like that but it was not fun.

Two stars one for Brian one for Jenn. This place sucked if not for these two. No restaurant like they claim to have. Terrible breakfast even for free food and the stuff in vending machines were out dated. Room old and everything in it was falling apart. Only nice part about the room was it was very clean. Owners and their daughter are in the wrong line of work. Was amazed at how rude they were to their employees and the guest. Pool was locked. The safe in our room was shut when we got there, when I told the front desk was told "Too bad that one must not work". Never staying at this place again.

Our room wasn't cleaned during our stay. It was clean when we arrived. They do offer Continental Breakfast. Vending machine's weren't all workingThe place is out dated. If you stay there, make sure to ask for a room in the newer section. You DON'T want to stay in the back.

They are currently remodeling with upgraded suites and some new paint in the hallways. I stayed in their standard double bed room on the second floor. The rooms are very clean but the beds are very hard and the shower was constantly changing temperature to an extreme at one point. Hopefully that will be part of their upgrade as well.

So impressed! I travel across country regularly... our pet friendly room, was updated and SPOTLESS. Especially during covid, I am extremely cautious and do my own cleaning regiment upon entering a room. I was very pleasantly surprised that on my germ killing mission, I found no dust, dirt or anything else! Beds are very comfy, place was extremely quiet even though it appeared "full" and right next to the highway. The fireside has become our new FAVORITE place to stay in maine and we cant wait to come back!

I was super skeptical because of the mixed reviews, but the room was spotless and the beds were new and very comfortable. For the price and the fact that our dog was welcome for only a charge of $20, I was very pleased. Our room had been nicely updated. I had wanted to stay at the Marriott Rennessaunce- but the pricr was an extra $125 for a pet! We made sure we left the room very clean.

This was an inexpensive place to stay, but as they say: you get what you pay for. Furniture visibly worn, hot water unpredictable, other amenities very bare bones. Staff was friendly. Many truckers moving around vehicles in the middle of the night. Again, the rate was very affordable. If you just need a place to sleep, this is perfect. If you're on vacation and looking for luxury and comfort, look to a bit more expensive facility.

I was pleasantly surprised. I was a little concerned at first reading some of the posts but trying to find a pet friendly hotel is not always easy . The room was clean and there were plenty of pillows on the bed. The ceiling in the tub was starting to peal from the humidity - other than that I had no complaints. The room had a refrigerator, a microwave, an iron, a Keurig coffee maker, a hair dryer, & a big TV. It also had a lounge chair with a hassock, a small table and a counter. The continental breakfast was good - especially the waffle maker. The people working there were extremely friendly and courteous. It is also very conveniently located right off of I-95. I would definitely recommend this place and if I'm ever in Maine in the future I will definitely stay here again.

This in is nice on the outside it's very appealing to the eye the room that we had was supposed to be a no smoking room and as soon as we walked in it smells of smoke. I immediately called the front desk and told them about it because they do charge your credit card if you do smoke in a non-smoking room. Upon checkout if there was one of the house cleaning ladies in there who was telling the clerk that someone did not show up for work because they were in a car accident, a lot of foul language was used which even though I am not a saint is certainly not appropriate to be done at the front desk. It is an okay place to stay for one night it looked to me as though they had full-time borders there which was fine but they smoked a lot and it seemed that it was just not the place to do it.

The location is right off the highway and isn't far from the busy area of town. Rooms are dated but serve their purpose. Service so far as been fine. Rooms are quiet which is good for us as we are traveling with several children.

Most of my stay was great until I asked for a later check out on the day I was leaving. Was told no because a hockey team was coming in. Never once was I told it was because I have a double room. I would have switched to a single room if I was given the choice. I am also handicap and walk with a Walker and said I would need help tomorrow upon check out. I was told they couldn't guarantee it. So how does someone using a Walker carry their suitcase and use a Walker at the same time? If u are handicap I would not recommend this place. Actually everyone I have dealt with here has been very helpful and nice except for the girl at the front desk this morning.

The hallway was colder than outside and it was March in Maine. And actually did have to go outside to get to breakfast. The room could have been cleaner. Towel was brown after drying the bathroom floor up after a kid showered. No bath tub. Seemed like it would have been better in the summer.

The newly refurbished rooms are awesome looking but it's also reflected in the price Kelly is awesome at customer service she's a tribute to the profession she handled a difficult situation quite well. Even though I did not get the broom that a S4 with the jacuzzi because it wasn't ready by 3 or 5 p.m. and they advertise three Kelly handle it very well and she gave us a nice king size room

The hotel was clean, but is in need of some maintenance and updating. We were there at the beginning of August and the pool was closed. The handle in the shower fell off and the temperature in the shower would get hot and then cold. When I complained about the handle, all they said "we will check into it." Did not show any concern and I felt like it didn't make any difference. Be careful internet pictures are deceiving.
