When I walked in it was a great experience. But after I found what I was looking for I went to find my shopping partner 😊, I looked down an isle she wasn't there but an older looking man so I went the other way because I was at the end of the store in the corner... anyway as I walked away I found her. We started to look at Halloween stuff and the same man from earlier, was indeed a employee, maybe higher up then the cashier. Anyway he was friendly chatting with my kid and showing us some halloween decor. Which was fine my mom's trying to make outside pop with Halloween. But then we walk away not even 2 mins later he's back just watching and walking around 😐 I brushed it off, like small store whatever. Then we proceed to the 50%off fall items they tell us everything is 50%off on the table. Yay the older gentleman goes behind the counter and walks out with the cashier 😮‍💨 then walks away as the cashier just stands there. Please make it more obvious. I was there for bottles for my kid. And got followed around 👍 great experience.

Was unpleasantly surprised at the lack of merchandise. I went looking for an armoire and other things. Only one and nothing else to choose from. Walked aimlessly around the store for a few minutes and left.

Bought a pair of lane recliners about 8 months ago and the rockers broke the first week. The store manager ,Beth, worked diligently to get them replaced with the new redesigned model. We picked the last 2 in all of newengland up this morning. Love them.

Have been in many Big Lots stores & also was an associate for 2+ yrs in NC. Store is very clean & easy to find products. While @ checkout,customer ahead of me was given hard time re rewards card,she asked that it be looked up by email,several times due to misspelling issues,bottom line customer unhappy with lack of knowledge & how to rectify by associate,I found this disturbing & feel more customer service training be addressed.

I enjoy shopping at this store for many items that I can get for our camper at less expensive cost than "big box" stores. Not only can I get linens, but I can quickly pick up groceries to stock the camper before heading out for a weekend trip. Their towels and face clothes are thick and of good quality as well. They have a good variety of outdoor amenities too.

Short staffed, long wait to pick up items already paid for. Personnel could take a lesson on kindness, with professional, friendly attitude. Assistant manager pleasant but could tell they were stressed.

Every time I have been at the Auburn location, each employee that I have either asked for assistance from or checking us out at the register, has been helpful and very pleasent.I already love products and prices from this store. You can get prices maybe cheaper at other chain box stores or at least comparable but when you add in great employees it makes or breaks the decision of going back. Sadly, we have a society with the mentality of just convenience over service expectations. I look for the employee/customer experience to "sell me" and get my money back again and again.Thank you, to all of the employees over the past (appx.) 6 years i have visited this location and being better than a box store but rather an enjoyable shopping experience.Keep up the great work!!!

I was very unhappy about the " white glove " service that I received .... they tried to tell me that they weren't suppose to take my chair out of the box and then when they did, they left the box in my yard! They didn't even put the chair together for me! I will not order from you guys again ... I didn't pay good money for services I didn't receive!

A huge thank you to Doug, the store manager in the Auburn store. This gentleman was so kind and caring. I had a major problem with a peice of furniture purchased in his store and within just a phone call he made everything right! Thank God for people out there who truly care about there customers! Love my local Big Lots!

I have such bad gas at night, that it literally drives my man out of bed. Honestly it's the aroma of nightmares. Today we went in search of scented candles and he was very pleased with the selection and we found many other items we needed at a great price.

Very good customer service, I was greeted in the lobby before I even entered the store I was asked if I needed any help and I told where I could find what I was looking for.Two different employees even stopped what they were working on to help me. You don't experience that much anymore.

Doug… What to say about Doug? It’s time to upgrade your management into the 21st century Big Lots. I mean I’m sure Doug is a nice guy but he has got no idea how to manage a store… He can’t even manage his Morning Meds. Douggy time to retire buddy.

Pretty good prices overall, but if you do a big shopping trip when they are having one of their 20% off everything sales, then you can really score. Nice variety of food, pet supplies, cleaning supplies, home goods and even furniture.

Staff is very friendly and attentive. I had 3 employees stop and ask us if we needed help with anything and to not hesitate to ask! Went there to look at furniture and found an impressive selection including Broyhill!

Very disappointed. Don't buy furniture here!! Only putting one star because I cant put zero. Bought my son a brand new bed from here. They sent me home with 2 footboards instead of a headboard and a footboard. Went back and they gave me the headboard, only to get home open the box to see its another footboard! Called and manager said come back again and we will give you 10% off your purchase. When I got there, they gave me the headboard piece finally but only offered $5.00 off!! My bill was $530 total. I live 35 mins away... doesn't even cover my gas for their mistake. Absolutely ridiculous.

Found some outdoor cushions ON SALE today. We had to get two different prints because they were the last 4 they had in our chair design. We were able to get in and out quickly thanks to the great staff.

Great prices, love the furniture. They have their own brand and you can find more consistent items on the shelf. Only draw back, you have no delivery on furniture.
