Staff is knowledgeable and helpful. I notice someone complained that no one ever asked them if they needed help finding an item. If you can't find a grocery item, you should ask. People can't read your mind. I found in the supplement department, I'm consistently asked if I need help finding something.

I love this store as a holistic and organic shopping experience. Lozenges and supplements. Healthy alternative deodorants (costly, but worth it) balms, even gluten free bakery goods. Hand made scarves and jewelry. Good prices compared to Amazon, plus it's local. Love when they have organic jalapenos in stock, plus dried beans and oats.

Best grocery store in the Lewiston and Auburn area! Giant selection of culinary, medicinal, and other organic products. Great selection of teas as well as herbalist and pagan books!

What a beautiful store! Well organized, very easy to find exactly what you need. Let me tell you...they have literally everything. Even soap making supplies! Truly wish I visited more often! I was able to find some things I'd been looking for forever up in Bangor. I will definitely be stopping again. Very clean store as well as very beautiful and bright staff.

I actually like to go in for their brewing supplies they carry a smaller selection of grains and adjuncts as well yeast and almost anything else you would need to brew beer wine or Mead. Their prices are quite fair and reasonable and I enjoy the ability to shop locally to get some of those last- minute additions that I may have forgotten

One would think the consistent response of clients and customers citing how extremely rude and unhelpful the staff is that the owners might want to do something about this?Moved to this area of the state about 18 months ago and dispite the consistently rude and deplorable behaviour displayed by grown woman at this shop I have continued to shop there on average of once twice a month.I've yet to learn of anywhere else that is an all natural foods and supplements store After today you bet I will be finding a new shop as this was the last time I am going to be disrespected while paying for near 200$ in health items!!!I am a grown woman and these elderly women constantly make me feel as though I'm a criminal watching my every move. When checking out the cashier THREE TIMES went through the FREE information leaflets I had collected that are provided for various products sold in the store as if I stole them or I'm hiding stuff in them!!! somehow in her thorough search she failed to notice the coupons on the products that she had scanned and just kept going without scanning the coupons to come off of the total.Just can't fathom that the owners of a small ]⁶6⁷⁷ like that would be so complacent in letting their employees berate and disrespect their clients!Based on the reviews going back over 2 years it seems this behavior is a consistent issue!

Quality here is very good. You could argue there is not one unhealthy thing in the store... lol. They have a nice variety of goods that can be appreciated because they tend to lack gmo and other bad elements.

This is my 8.9. year old mother's go to place for buying healthy staples in bulk along with other specialty items like crackers, vitamins, nutritional yeast and organic oats. She even special orders one of her supplements and the staff calls her when it comes in. They have a nice assortment of fresh foods, cookbooks and locally made breads and such. Friendly folks made it feel like an old country store that you've been going to for years. As a former Mainer, it feels like home.

Great place for organic food and spices, which is exactly what I get here. Not only are there spices the best around but also the most inexpensive. You will need your own jars for the spices, but well worth it.

Love this store! I only wish the prices were a bit better, because I can get the same items for much less in Brunswick, which I did when I worked there. The only other issue is the frigid attitude of some of the staff. I have been checked out by a woman who gives me dirty looks, a man who won't even speak at all, and another individual who acts like the customer is a bother! I would prefer to shop locally, and NOT have to order my items from Amazon, but when you are treated like that, it's not worth it. Please consider asking the staff to recalibrate. Thank you.

Axis has been in business a long time. They have it figured out, quality, health celebrating, mindful products and produce, at a fair price. Even with a tight budget, there are several key foodstuffs I get here. I am happy to give them my money.

I have always loved Axis, shopped there before they moved locations. The people have always been kind, friendly and helpful. Until today when I was informed they were closing and "couldn't control Google" and what time Google says the store closes. I understand that times are difficult, but I believe that makes it even more important to be friendly.

Over the years my experience has been that the service has become better. Most employees are helpful and knowledgeable. I asked to have them order me something special and they were very accommodating and quick to let me know when the item was in. Product is always plentiful and the prices are not bad. They have a great gift section!

great new store, love the selection, but i echo the other reviewers that customer service really needs to become a top priority here. it's hit or miss with the customer service, and that i believe is just a result of training the staff and a value system at the store that may very well just be accidental on all parts, but honestly, there was a time i refused to go back (and spend my regular, at the time, $120 bill there) because of the customer service snafus that happened so much. i think things are slowly improving.

Since covid-19 Very Sad service! I went to the store for the first time after the "stay at home order" had lifted. When I went to enter the store I was greeted with a panicked voice, "stay away from the door, don't come in here"! Yikes, I thought! What happened... 5 employees from the inside peered out at me as if I had the plague. They said I could order online or by phone and come pick up my order. I sat in the parking lot called and called no answer (yet 5 employees were in the store staring out) so I finally gave up. I ordered off Amazon. I like to buy local as much as possible but after being treated so rudely I have only been back once in 6 months. I have tried to reach someone on several occasions to place a special order. It rings busy or just rings and rings with no answer and no machine to leave a message on. I see that someone else has posted a picture of their new hours 8-5pm, yet online it says they are open till 8pm. Not sure what is going on but I am finding ways around having to shop here anymore. It's kinda sad because I have shopped here for years. I am sorry it has come to this. I hope they will be able to make it...

This store has an extensive amount of merchandise available that the health food loving demographic will enjoy. Truly a bit of everything, including cards, essential oils, pet food, and works marker type crafts. And of course many healthy groceries, though in some cases only one variety is offered.Also, a few aisles of supplements and herbs. It's the only place in the L/A area offering this array of healthy options.That said, they are significantly overpriced. In some cases, cost is DOUBLE what you pay online. Their bulk items are also a cheap shoot. We have gotten dates that had worms in them and most everything you buy that's bagged tastes and smells like detergent or patchouli.Overall a great store with mostly outstanding staff.

This store makes me laugh. So “natural” yet everyone in there is extremely awkward and rude when you’re not wearing a mask… 2 1/2 years later. Like they might die if they suspect you didn’t inject yourself with 12 clot shots. I’ll take my business elsewhere

Really disappointed!! One would think that especially a natural food store would be open and willing to donate products to a pantry in need of gluten free items for patrons that have celiac. There are no options. In the world we live in today you would think and hope that when someone reached out and asked for help that one would want to lend a hand in some way and help. Not only were they not open to donating anything but the employee seemed not even to care. How sad. God bless.

Nearly all associates are on top of their game and very friendly. I have no idea what kind of turn-over they have there, but the customer service has improved over the last year. Fresh produce is frequently rotated and kept appealing; Well-stocked. There is a reason this small specialty store has survived for so many years in a predominantly corporate-store city, they are enthusiastic and one of a kind. Patron as often as possible, I would hate for L/A to lose this landmark.

Great natural foods store, feels like an indoor farmers market. Anything you need but can’t find at a chain store you have a good chance of finding at Axis. The staff are polite and welcoming and are happy to help you find anything you might not see. There is also a great selection of international foods and ingredients as well as health foods and supplements. With a wide variety and calm atmosphere, Axis provides a great shopping experience.
