What can I say. This place is wonderful. Right from the first phone call. This is my first time at this campground but I will certainly come back. I was so thankful they were still open. The bathrooms are spotless and nicer than some hotels I have stayed at. The lots are very roomy and spaced very well. I played horseshoes and hung in the rec room some. They had a Halloween theme so we decorated our little campers. We even had trick or treaters! Planning to come back for a week. Thank you for caring about your campers!

This campsite if very well maintained, well laid out and nice to visit. The sites are evenly spaced and ours was flat when we visited in September 2023 in a 30' motorhome. Only reason why only 3 stars: arrived late September 1 hour before check in, the park had to be 80% empty but they still insisted they had to charge us a $25 early admittance fee. The amenities were closed due to the time of year, so this was a surprise - but I think you get that with these 'chains' - all policy and no room for customer service.

Front office people very nice but we booked with friends back in October and our site was moved to opposite end of campground in crowded area near pool…we do not have children with us …we were told computer moved us because not locked in for fee or 3 or more booking together. Very disappointed. Then we find out the people on the site we were to be on had called a few weeks before and requested near bathroom. We were booked for 8 days they booked for 4 days and there is still no other camper on that site since they left and there are many lots open throughout the campground. Very noisy campground with 4 wheelers able to run from their campsite. We were told by friend that previous owners had designated parking spot for them to take off from. Also septic like smell in areas of the campground. New area being worked on and workers very nice and efficient if there is a problem on site. Our water hookup leaked badly and it was fixed immediately. Great pool area and play area for kids. We will not be back but this campground may be a fit for some. We are booked in this area for next year at campground near here and they lock in with group of 2 without having to pay extra fee.

Highly recommend this campground! Sites were clean and fairly private! The staff was amazing! They were all kind, friendly annd knowledgeable! They went above and beyond to ensure we had a great weekend and a great experience! It surpassed our expectations! There was a lot of activities for the kids to keep them busy too! We look forward to coming back and making more memories!Nearby activities: Greenville was only a short drive

Great campground and sites. Clean bathrooms. Was there recently and while booking on the phone, we were asked if we wanted to "lock it in". I thought that was strange since I had just given them my credit card to reserve the site. OH NO, that credit card only means you can get a site but not that one, unless you "lock it in" for an additional $30.00 above the site fee. AM I GETTING HOSED HERE? I mentioned to the nice girl on the phone that, last year you didn't charge that fee. What a shame..... I will be looking at all my options next time, for a campground that really "wants my business" !

We stayed in a deluxe cabin and had an absolutely wonderful stay! The cabin was incredibly clean, not just for a cabin at a campsite, but anywhere! It looked brand new. The campsite itself was also well-maintained, with on-site ATV trail access and a beautiful lake just down the street. There is a Game room with a pool table, movies arcade games...Also There is actually a James Beard award winning chefs restaurant 10 minutes away in the next town!We couldn't have asked for a better stay!

A nice campground in a woodsy country setting. Very relaxed setting with good facilities.The sites are gravel and vary from 50A full hookup to basic.Our site was a 30A FH pull through. Plenty of room for our motorhome and tow vehicle. Site was easy to level without blocks. Weather was cool so 50A AC wasn’t needed.The sewer hookup is distant towards the rear. Going to try to hook that up with 2 10’ hoses later today. Wishing the hookup was more centrally placed.Trails nearby for ATV’s and some hiking only. Piper Pond is very close with a nice boat launch. Large enough to be considered a lake.Towns are distant and very limited so stock up in advance. The campground store is very good and well supplied.2 good laundry rooms. Coin machines need to be refilled.

We recently stayed at this campground and found it to all that was promised.Now we did not spend much time in campground.We did use laundry,propane, store and all of them were easy use.Now location. If you 4wheel it’s great, not much else in area really. We happened one visiting friends in area. Piper Pond down road has a beach and boat access ramp as well as a boat ramp on Whetstone Pond.I’m going to mention mosquitoes, they were horrendous!People are super nice and helpful!

We had a great time at Bear Den. Our cabin was lovely and we enjoyed the Mountain View hot tub. Being without phone signal was actually really nice for a change. We loved the peace and quiet. The fishing lake was great even though the days we stayed were too cold for the fish to bite. The staff was all very friendly and nice. Be aware the road is very narrow and gravel so you do need to have a skilled driver, especially if you’re pulling a camper or whatnot. Our family had a blast and we will definitely be back!

This was our first time to this campground and we will definitely be going back. We stayed in the new part of the park and the spaces were large, allowing for the kids to play. The new section has a wide access road which made parking the camper a breeze. Quiet!Only downfall was a few kids who were not chaperoned by their parents and acting a little out of line at the jump pillow, causing us to leave for the day...That was the ONLY complaint.

Not like it used to be at all. Management has gone downhill. The store hours are ridiculous, open late and close early. I’m sorry but it’s a seasonal business, they should open before 9 am and stay open later than 7. We went for a ride and because of the storm they were closed on a Saturday night before 5:30. They didn’t want to cook they said because they were afraid they’d lose power. Coolers empty, they said it’s end of season. Then I’d be going to the grocery store and picking up a few items to keep things stocked. Also, we arrived on Friday and just wanted to relax after we got set up but instead we had to listen to lawn mowers at 6 pm. People were parked with trailers on their cabin sites and was never told they couldn’t. I’ve been coming for years and this place has definitely gone down hill.

Wonderful campground we stayed at for 2 nights. Staff were very friendly and helpful. They recommended a good area for hiking and an area where we might see moose and we did end up seeing them. If I'm ever traveling back this way I'll definitely be staying here again. Not far from the campground we took a drive and the photos are of our hike.

Really nice and well-maintained campground-we were there in that area for a wedding, so we didn’t spend a lot of time at the campground-I did do laundry and the laundry room was great-clean and very convenient-they had a change machine—staff there was very responsive when I had any questions and Bobbie, the general manager there, was prompt in taking care of a billing issue that I needed to be clarified and corrected-no problem at all! Thanks Bobbie! I would recommend this campground to people and I would definitely stay there again-

First off they do not clean. The bathrooms were dirty and I rented a cabin and for the price it definitely should have been cleaned. The mini fridge and microwave were absolutely disgusting. Then the beds are a whole other story. First they said the bunk beds were twin and they absolutely were not. They were single and all as hard as the ground. We had to go get air mattresses to sleep on that’s how bad it was. Then the store barely has anything anymore. One size ice cream for $5.00 no snack type stuff no milk. The hours are a joke. This is a campground and store should be open atleast until 8:00. They close Sunday and Monday at 3:00 and Tuesday through Thursday at 5:00 and Friday and Saturday 7:00. We stayed her every year when the old owners owned it and never had any of these issues. The bathrooms were always clean the plastic cabinet. We stayed in back then the beds were actually comfortable, so I don’t know what happen with this cabin, but it was awful and our cabin was clean not dirty and disgusting. The store always had snacks. They had doughboys. They had two different size ice cream‘s. It is sad that the old owners sold this place, because we will not be returning here again I am hoping that maybe they will decide to sell it to someone else that can run it and have reasonable prices because I also double the price of what we paid with the old owners for the cabin rentals.

We were in the rustic cabin. On the bunk beds, the top mattress seemed to be just a box spring. The bottom mattresses severely need to be replaced. They are flattened and bulging out on the sides. The chairs had no cushion, it seemed to be a piece of wood with cloth over them. The smaller bunk bed, the fabric from the top mattress sagged down almost into the face of the person on the bottom bunk. The tv was really only viewable for those on the top bunk. Other than the cabin, the park was great.

The cabin we were in was lacking. 1. Stove didn't work on arrival. 2. Light over stove didn't work. 3. Screen door was broken letting flies and mosquitoes in. 4. The wifi was lousy. 5. Fire pits weren't empty. Landscaping was not properly maintained. 6. Didn't see much activity with personnel checking things.

We have enjoyed this campground for several years. This year we are a bit unhappy with the insect situation. Like maybe they didn’t spray for the pests like most campgrounds do. Also, not happy with the time that the activities close down for the day. Like why would the jumping pillow be closed by 6pm everyday? Also, why close the pool at 7pm? We would like those activities to be available to our children until at least 8pm on a summer night when it is still light outside.

Our friends booked this place and we decided to follow them for a few days. We then wanted to extend a few more. Office staff was more than accommodating. We then called a third time and asked if we could do a whole week. They were very friendly and said they would call me back and try and work it out for us. We are in the new section that is under renovation. I think it’s great they have it open so people can get in. There are a few generators going and we did lose power a couple times. However, it’s under renovation and the owners were right on top of it. Sites are very spacious. Quiet campground. Friendly owners and many well behaved pets. We were also trying to surprise our friend for her birthday with a few decorations and mini gathering. I asked if any way they could come in on the other road. The young lady in the office even took it upon herself to phone me mid day to verify where we were setting up so she sent them the opposite direction. Friendly and accommodating new owners. Would highly recommend this place.

What a great campground!! clean, big sites, nice bath house, atv trails, lots of amenities. We been coming here every summer for the last 5 years. I chatted with the new manager from Alaska, nice family guy who truly gets it, he’s been working on bringing back all the amenities we been accustomed to!The kids really enjoyed the outdoor movie on Saturday night. We will definitely be back for year 6.

We stayed here for 4 nights at the end of August to explore a new part of Maine we had never been to. When I first booked, I had only booked 3 nights and then we decided to add a night so I called and spoke with Brad who seamlessly added a 4th night after confirming availability of our site. As the trip got closer I reached out and worked with Sophie who helped us locate an ATV rental company (Sunset Cove Rentals) so we could try out the trails that are right on property! The campground is very clean, the sites are nicely sized and the staff is very friendly and all around amazing! We will definitely return here in the future! Thank you so much for making of "End of Summer" camping trip such a pleasant and memorable one!

AJ and Michelle are great people who went out of their way to help us. We were riding the trails and we were running low on gas. Even though the pumps were closed for the day they turned them on for us so we could make it home.Nearby activities: Great place to camp with atv trail access.

We loved it! We never knew this campground was there even though we grew up in the area. It was so much fun with so many fun things to do on the property plus it was fun fest weekend so our kids got to enjoy a movie on a huge projector screen with free popcorn, hayride with squirt guns, games and fun while making friends with other kids. We already reserved a cabin for next month!

We found this campground 4 years ago and had fallen in love with it. It was quiet and peaceful and just had a great vibe about it. It was sold last year but we decided to camp again this year as it is only fair to give it a chance. I am sad to say this was the worst time we have ever had there. The changes made were not for the better. There were 30 sites added that have generators running all day. Golf carts are now allowed which was awful. The friday morning we were there a guy drove by 12 times in 30 mins!!!! They are also putting in a dog park, which is fine I have nothing against dogs,but now there are more dogs barking all the time because their owners don't control them. We also looked up the new rates, holy cow!!!!! We left 2 days early because we were so disgusted. I am extremely saddened to see what has happened. Highly unlikely that we will ever return. I do want to give credit to the staff. They were very nice.
