DO NOT SHOP HERE!!!I purchased an item for my dog for $14.99.The muzzle was too small. I returned to the store on 2/9/24 to exchange the muzzle for a larger size. The staff was in the midst of a verbal altercation with an older gentleman. The cashier told my male partner to get what he needed while her manager rudely interacted with the older gentleman. He overheard this female manager, with dreads, proclaim she hated “n*ggas”. He proceeded with his exchange. He exchanged the muzzle for a more expensive one & had to pay $2.02 cash difference. He left the store with the new muzzle but was extremely disturbed by the lack of professionalism & discrimination he experienced. This muzzle was too large for the dog. So we went back to the store to return it on 2/16/24. We requested a refund, with the receipt, from the exchange on the 9th. The cashier begins to process the refund & asks if we’d rather do an exchange because we would be waiting 7-10 for a $2 refund. I attempted to explain that we were due $16 because the first item ($14.99) was credited to the second item ($16.99) & he paid the $2 difference in cash. This young lady proceeded to overly, but inaccurately, explain why we were only entitled to a $2 refund. I again attempted to explain that PetSense would have BOTH items to resale & we would go home with $2; that is incorrect. I asked to speak to the manager on duty. The manager came from around an isle in the back & stated, “you already explained it to them.” She walked away. I took this as a refusal to talk to the customers. We told the cashier we wanted the item back & would contact customer service. She returned the item to us, then proceeded to explain again why we were only entitled to $2. I asked if she would let me give her a more relatable example. She said, “no” & called the next customer to the register. I asked her for her name & her manager’s name. She told me she did not have to give me that information.As we walked out the store, she apologizes to a teen-aged customer who was next in line for “getting her involved” in our interaction. There were two other customers in this store (including the teen girl) who did not interject, were not spoken to, and did not participate in our interaction. Why would she say anything of the sorts to this young girl??We walked outside & immediately contacted customer service. The representative explained to us that our issue needed to be handled on the store level with the District Manager since the store manager refused to speak to us. She said the DM would be able to pull the previous transaction & refund the $16. She also stated if we had trouble with the DM, we would then need to speak with the Regional Manager. We have yet to hear from anyone.

It was 5:50 and they close at 6I walked in on my 30min break to buy my dogs some treats instead of checking people out they where running there mouth so i walked out to go to wing stop.I came back to purchase my items that i left on the counter she saw me and locked the doors at 6:01!just rude ! I got off work at went to walmartliterally looked at me and locked the doorI don’t see how they get paid to turn down customers

Over priced limited supplies in stockTractor supply is one of the companies over charging people petsence is pretty much the same no pets for sale in this store to buy at the time I went there also no change for customers who pay cash

Great local source for pet supplies in Zachary. Good selection of dog food and cat foods. Lots of dog toys. Only reason I'm giving 4 stars instead of 5 is because sometimes their prices are higher than competitors and they need more types of litter. Oh, they also have a loyalty program.

They have some brands of pet food that are only found at Petco or Chewy. I go here when we are low on food or treats, wish they had freshpet though.

Not a bad local place to get things from. The staff is super helpful and things are always organized. A little pricey but it's a local shop. Good for quick visits instead of having to go to town for a bigger store.

They always have the food we need to buy. Its aa little more expensive than ordering it online, but it is more convenient when we run out an f p9 rget 2 order it. But we can always depend on them having it in stock. Not only that but every 10th bag is free

Went here with a friend, he was in and out within minutes. Says they always have what he needs (which in this case, was a battery for his dog's electric collar). Clean store with helpful staff.

It's the 3 Ns: nice, neat, and near. I used to take my dog and get stuff for him and the cat. Since he passed away I get some things for my cat and my 'dog niece.' Good sale on doggie shirts and big dog toys.

I have an English Mastiff who eats a TON of food. I use to have to go out of my way to Petco in Denham to get his food until I discovered this place by my work in Zachary. They have his food (and it was even a few dollars less than Petco) AND they have a buy 10 bags, get 1 free. With my dog eating 9 cups of food a day, I will get a free bag in no time. The young girl who works here is very friendly and helpful.
