You know..me and the kids were just driving through this little town of Winnsboro and we were hungry. Luckily we found this place and we filled all of our stomachs until we couldn't eat no more. The food for the price is pretty hard to beat and the workers there are really nice. The waitresses there are quick and don't shy away from helping you if you need anything. Also the food was so delicious that I had to compliment the chef for it. All in all I will recommend this place for everyone if you are hungry.Kid-friendliness: Everyone there loves kids.."Kids are always welcome here" is what they told me

In town visiting family & decided to come here. The service was great, waitress was very attentive. I had the fried green tomatoes with crab & crab sauce 🤷🏽‍♂️ on top for an appetizer. Entree I had 8oz sirloin with ‘Mexican corn’ as a side. Everything was great except corn. My first time having fried green tomatoes with crab ontop which was a nice twist. Now the corn was bland. overall experience was great. It was what I was expecting from a small town restaurant. I wouldn’t mind eating here next time in town.

I just had lunch for the first time at the Leigh and let me tell you the food there is fantastic. I had the catfish plate and there was more than I could possibly eat for a lunchtime meal so I had to go box and I have enough catfish and fries left over for supper. the only issue I had is the restaurant is a little dark and could use a little more lighting. Other than that go try there catfish plate

The best fried catfish, grilled redfish, file steaks, grilled oysters, and beer around. A wonderful local spot better than any other steak joint around. The owners and staff never disappoint. Space for groups and a bar area for games. This is a must stop place if you drive through Winnsboro on 15. Also the only place that brings my steak out exactly how I like it, still mooing.

The food was great, but the tall curly haired waiter kid who was my waiter brought me my food, walked off and is apparently half way to Mordor at this point. It took 37 minutes for a DIFFERENT WAITRESS to come by. Shame too, food was solid, but my god, no drink refill, no checking on your customer, that's kinda sad. Hopefully the conversation he had while he was leaned on the bar chatting with the dark haired waitress was at least good.

Got the seafood platter that came with two sides. The gumbo was cold. I didn’t receive my other side. I told the waitress while ordering that my second side was fries for my daughter who is five and doesn’t eat seafood. Waitress said no problem. My wife and other daughter got 1 seafood platter to share. When I received the check, to my surprise they charged me for my daughters fries and actually put “only wanted one side” on the receipt below my food. Then I noticed another charge for “sharing food”. Which is ridiculous. When the waitress came back I questioned her about these two charges. She said that’s the way it is here. I then asked why didn’t she inform me of this while ordering? She ignored that question and walked off. The 18% tip was added to my check automatically so I had to tip well even though I was dissatisfied with the service. I paid the bill and left. I’ve ate here at least 5 other times in the past. Its disappointing. I never will again. All I can say is eat somewhere else. Cheating people isn’t right.

Stopped in for a drink(only bar top for thirty miles😉) and ended up having a snack. Gumbo and sautéed green beans. Nice and spicy. Lovely staff and a comfortable space. Cheers, y’all.

First off, this place has recently had a change of cooks, so older reviews may not reflect current experiences.I've been there three times in the past month. The steaks are great: cooked and seasoned perfectly. The house pepper jelly dressing is wonderful on salads. The fish is always great. The fried green tomatoes are to die for. Service is fast and nice.It's pricey, but worth it. Best place to eat in Winnsboro. Highly recommend.

Excellent fried, grilled, and raw seafood. Green beans were seasoned to be tasty but not overpowering. Great hushpuppies and bread. Good and plenty sauces and dressings. Generous servings. Server was attentive, friendly, and patient. Prices reasonable for the quality.

I really enjoy eating here. The owners are wonderful people. The wait staff do their best to make sure you're well taken care of. It gets PRETTY crowded in there, but the food is amazing! If you're passing through during their open hours, it's definitely worth the stop!

The food was great. Nice ambience to the place. Our waiter was super friendly and efficient.My daughter spilt a drink on the table. The waiter was quick to clean everything up and bring a fresh drink. Two other staff members chipped in to help her. All 3 was very friendly during the whole ordeal.

Best place to eat. My husband and I stop every time we pass through Winnsboro. We both get a plate and have so much food left, we have a whole plate for later. Love the waitresses and always get bread pudding to go.

It was delicious, and the service was great. We had the file platter with fried oysters, shrimp, and fish. Light crispy batter and tender seafood. Fried green tomatoes and cracklins, which were the bomb. Catfish Acadiana and bread budding. The red potatoes are cooked in a spicy boil. Everything was well-seasoned. Overall a nice place to have in Winnsboro for an out-of-towner!

I felt like the service was very crappy. The waitress were rude for one,and then the shrimps taste like dishwashing liquid, and salt. I felt like they treated us difference from other customers like they kept watching us and when we leave Got ready to leave the waitress asked did we pay like we were gonna just walk without paying. They so call salad is not a salad so I give them a half of a star .They honestly need more respectful people too.

Waited 45 minutes for fried catfish and shrimp and finally got tired of waiting as we had other places to be. Told waitress just bring us our ticket for salads and appetizer. She then proceeded to bring our food with a ticket. We were already running late so just told them to box it up since they were insistent. Guess I will eat it cold. Needless to say first impression was not the best and will have a lasting effect.
