5⭐️- Definitely a mustIf you love shrimp, crawfish and other fresh seafood, this is the place to go to. There are around 10 or more stores that sell fresh shrimp of different sizes. We went there during crawfish season and some vendors were selling them by the pound and sacks. There is even a store at the end that sells other cajun food and cooked seafood.Make sure to bring a cooler or you can buy one there too if you want to take some home.

Stumbled across this place a year ago while traveling and staying at the Bayou Segnette state park campground.What I can tell you is, sample the andouille sausage and then buy 5 pounds and get one free because you will not find a better and andouille sausage.We have traveled many places trying some all around the USA and this place wins, the flavor is absolutely amazing, a nice smoky flavor with a touch of heat.The 6 pounds that we have now is going to make many dishes as we have vac sealed them and put them in our freezer as we travel in an RV enjoying this incredible tasting stuff! Thank you all!

The absolute best prices on fresh caught shrimp you can possibly get, best shrimp in Louisiana right here. All the vendors are very nice and generous. They have live crabs too. And Gumbo crabs for really good deal. If you live on the Westbank don't ever buy shrimp from Walmart, those are imported and taste like trash compared to the real deal. Support your community and save money for yourself and get way better healthier seafood.

Finally!!! I've been living in the area for over a year. I'd see their little 'Daily Special' billboard... and want to get in there. Today I finally did it.I enjoyed the shrimp plate. Tasty fried shrimp and lots of French fries. I tell you... even the light, fresh buttered French bread... was great!The coolest thing was just being in there. LOTS of local, packaged seasonings... LOTS of smoked meats [ crawfish sausage, alligator sausage and much more ]... seasoned stuffed meats ready to cook. And lots of specialties like local honey and preserves.I will definitely go back... soon!

I was craving cracklin so bad, my husband went and got me some, and this is the best I've had here! In not from here, but been here 3 years. Tried different places, and they weren't bad, but THIS is easily my favorite now! I'll have to go sometime myself to check out what else they have too...

We got there right before closing but such a great variety of meats and sea food. We bought bonding, and crawfish and green onion sausage. Delicious. So friendly and helpful.

This is a hole in the wall place that was recommend to us by out swamp tour guide. One of the BEST poy boy you can have in New Orleans. Prices were excellent with friendly staff! Will strop by every time i am in the area!

We ordered alligator and crawfish on stick which was lip smacking delicious. We also ordered shrimp and oyster PO boys which were tasty . Definitely would love to visit again 👍👍

The shrimp and fish combo was bomb as hell and great portion for the price! Ladies were very nice and all around great experience. Much better than some of the overpriced seafood restaurants in downtown New Orleans

Me and my Family was visiting . Happen to stop in and got Alligator sausage. The young girl at the counter was really rude. But then she went and whispered something to the other lady . She came out and help us and was really nice.

Very good sausage. They have alligator, pork, and crawfish sausage. The craklins are very tasty. A person would enjoy anything purchased here. Market Wego has a huge smoker in front of the store. The smell is wonderful.

great place for jumbo shrimp. My favorite place is when you pull in the lot it is first building on the left. Blue roof. Great people and awesome shrimp, crawfish and unbelievable red fish

So many seafood vendors! Plenty of fresh shrimp, crab and more. Reasonable prices and friendly, knowledgeable sellers. A good opportunity to try some of the more exotic products too. Gator, frog, crawfish and rabbit.

This is a cool little store/bodega/hot food place with no frills (really...no frills). It's kind of divey, but not in a dirty way.It's in a little area of stores and shacks where you can buy fresh seafood right off the boats from that day.Anyway, I ordered a fish po boy and fries, but I also picked up some spicy boudin, andouille sausage, and some cracklins.They also have frozen stuffed chicken, frozen rabbit, tamales, and other stuff.The po boy was good, and fries were browned just as I asked for.There is plenty of parking, it's pretty small in the store, just 2 or 3 small tables.A good place to get a bite for lunch or pick up some stuff.

Just weird. I got the shrimp poboy. The shrimp were TINY. Like krill small. This place is in the SHRIMP LOT. I expected normal sized shrimp. Pretty damned disappointed. AND... shrimp was my SECOND choice. THEY WERE OUT OF OYSTERS. Not worth it.
