Awesome little Cajun restaurant. Customer service was on point. We never had to look for a waiter. When it came to the food I was not impressed. Not that it was cooked bad or anything, I just didn't like all the flavor that they put on the steak. And was very overwhelming. Cooked very well but over seasoned. I wish they would advertise or offer the buffet because I had no idea it existed until we had already ate and was walking out the door. That buffet looks really good though... I'll have to go back and try it. It was full of seafood!! Yum!

My sister and I stopped on our way from Texas to Philadelphia. Everything we had was delicious and the waitress was delightful. We had the fried pickles, chicken and sausage gumbo and a shrimp po-boy with onion rings. Everything was very flavorful and fried perfectly. Would make the stop again if we ever pass through on the same route :)

I've been calling since 820pm trying to place an order and no one was answering the phone. I drove here 3 minutes away from my job and the waitress said we not taking orders. I asked why not , it's 830 she said we aren't. I explained to her I've been calling no ones answering and she laughed and said yea I don't even know the number here , call it so I did , it rung, she said yea it works and just laughed . I do not recommend, horrible customer service. I was more insulted by her laughing in my face .

Very good seafood. Amie was an excellent waitress. I had the fried shrimp and it was yummy. We all had a delightful time dining. Will plan to go again when visiting the area. They have free WiFi and ample parking. The restrooms were clean and well lit.

Food was Great we got The Sampler Platter, Alligator bites, and The Crawfish Etouffe. The Etouffe was Amazing!! Just spicy enough to know it was definitely Cajun but not so spicy ya couldn't eat it!!The Sampler was good too. The homemade Onion Rings were REALLY good!! The Batter is light with good texture but I had to add salt to everything that was fried. Not much flavor in the Batter. Gator bites were juicy but also lacked a flavor in the batter.The service was Excellent and atmosphere very laid-back and comfortable.Definitely recommend!!!

Worst restaurant. 🤮🤮🤮1. They don’t fry food fresh. Instead, they fry it in advance and microwave it warm.2. The fried catfish is soft not crispy at all. The side fried onion is cold, cold, cold!!!3. And it charged you differently from the menu.

A wonderful gem in Southwest Louisiana, Welsh, Louisiana to be exact. Quick service with a smile, taste great, you don't need or have to touch the salt and pepper. This is the way Cajun food should be. C'est bon appétit. C'est magnifique!!!!! Merci beau coup.

It was delicious! I had Srimp Corn Soup! Yum yum yum. An onion battered fried crisp with dipping sauce. This was a terrific place and so friendly.

Great seafood and really great service! Their jambalaya was really good! I wish I would have gotten just that! Cajun fries have a buttery delicious taste. The wait staff were very attentive.

We went here after being in the car for a long time on a road trip home from Florida..so we were all very hungry...We ordered the Cajun catfish it had crawfish etoufee on top of it..2 kids grilled cheese ...a kids catfish... And bowl red beans and rice with sausage with a baked potato. We were just about the only ones in the place and the food took a solid 30 min+ to come out at room temperature. The Etouffee over the broiled catfish was good...the salad that came with it was sad and I had to pick out many wilted and freezer burnt pieces. The sweet potato fries I got with it were also sad very thin and cold. The kids grilled cheese was your basic grilled cheese cant really mess that up. We dont know how the kids catfish is as we got crawfish instead but my daughter ate all her food...the redbeans and rice was not hot and the sausage looked overcooked my husband said it was like it was maybe prepared way before everything else. He did say the baked potato was good. My husband and I both received hush puppies with our meal the outside was very burnt but the inside was very tasty... I feel like this place is hit or miss according to the other reviews. So may the odds be ever in your favor.

The food was AMAZING! Also, the staff being super attentive and helpful mixed with family time....PRICELESS! I ordered the buffet with a loaded down baked potato-no bacon bits- made by one of my favorite waitresses, Najia. Thanks Cajun Tales Staff! Miss working with y'all. ♡ ♡ ♡ their bread pudding and SWEET tea! Mmmm, I'm full!

This place was despicable, ordered a seafood gumbo and it was literally water with no meat, LITERALLY!! food overpriced and u get very little..sad…oh and this is their ideal of potatoe salad…cold left over mash potatoes from yesterday with eggs

We got takeout, so I can't speak to the atmosphere or cleanliness of the dining room.I got a catfish poboy. It was ok. It was fine. It wasn't spectacular.My dining companion got some kind of seafood combo plate with fried shrimp, sweet potato fries, and something else. The shrimp were big and juicy and delicious. So good! I highly recommend those fried shrimp.

Side Salad was a clump of lettuce, nothing else. Batter on shrimp and crawfish was too thick, so shrimp and crawfish were hard, not tender. The stuffed baked potato was good. Waitress was nice. Because of the thick frying batter, everything tasted the same. The meal was not enjoyable.

Stopped here last night on the way home from Florida. The staff was incredibly attentive and the food was very good. The shrimp two ways was excellent but next time I go back, I may just order the Shrimp Creole. Light and just spicy enough served over perfectly cooked rice. My son had a kid’s burger and it was also delicious. Great little stop if you’re headed down I-10.

Loved our amazing waitress, she was friendly and offer great suggestions. The atmosphere was upbeat and fun. The gumbo is the best I've ever had out in a restaurant. We had fried mushrooms and the seafood platter. They were out of oyster but offered extra shrimp, fish and crawfish. Onion rings were perfectly cooked. So glad we found this place on our trip west.

The seafood platter was good. The seafood gumbo was bland and had a lot more rice than meat in it (thin). The red beans and rice was bland. The hush puppy was burnt, and when I asked for another one, they said they didn't have any more and was not given anything else in place of it. The server was nice. Wouldn't come back or recommend. I have had better Cajun food outside of Louisiana.

Back when I was young. My grandmother took me here. I stopped in to reminisce. Must be new owners. Because I paid 18$ for country fried steak. That tasted like it was frozen patties. Baked baked potatoes were hard, and you could tell by color it was old taters. Man I was so excited to stop in. Then so disappointed.Staff were cussing, and talking about her trip to the island's. Couldn't even pronounce where she visited. Turkankango just for the record.DO NOT RECOMMEND

Stopped through on a cross-country trip, after being recommended by family. Didn’t expect much walking in, but the food was IMMACULATE! It tasted fresh, and had some great sweet tea. I would definitely return. Thank you for the great service!

I would definitely come back here after a long drive! It is the best local of locals! They Are very attentive to their customers and they even make you a pot of fresh coffee! The food was amazing and got! I would give them more than five stars if I could!

This was the worst seafood I ever had. It had no taste fish fried to hard. The shrimp crust falls off. No taste at all the baked potato was good. The bacon bits looked like raw bacon. I won’t go back. I don’t know who owns the restaurant now. The food is terrible and expensive. A waste of money next time I’m going to Bourbon Street. My first mind but was trying to buy local.
