I was apprehensive to send my 7 mo old shepherd/rottie mix away for so many weeks to someone I didn’t know. What I did know what my pup was already a large dog and it was critical & safer for everyone that he be trained and obedient. That’s one of the main reasons I decided to send Toby to Rich - he works with all breeds but specializes in large breed dogs. Rich / La Fundacion K9 is an extremely experienced operation and will instruct and provide your dog with the tools you & your dog need to establish who’s in charge. The real undertaking is when your dog is back home with you. You must use the tools and training Rich gives you/your dog, to continue working with your dog - daily. I am VERY glad I chose La Fundacion K9 for my dog & have their continued support for my dog.

Rich was awesome with our GSD!! Diesel learned so much while in Rich’s care and was well taken care of during that time. The handlers course when we picked him up was thorough to make sure we understood the commands as well. Excited to continue working on his new commands and keeping Rich involved as he gets older!

Richard is a highly capable trainer and extremely professional! I had an inexperienced trainer previously that taught me the wrong techniques for the type of breed(Cane Corso) that I have but he fixed everything. My dog is now well behaved and obedient.I will definitely be using La Fundacion again for further advanced training and I would recommend anyone to enroll their dog!

First off, let me just say that I’m going to try my best to keep this review short and sweet! However, there’s so many great things to say! Communication: outstanding. Customer service: outstanding. Availability: outstanding. Knowledge of ALL things dogs, especially Presa Canario’s: outstanding. La Fundacion takes pride in EVERYTHING that they do!! From being a Presa Canario Breeder, dog trainer, the man even has his own raw dog food company!! Definitely check out his social media and see what he’s all about!!!We found Rich Deberry’s website through a Google search for “Presa Canario trainers near me”. Its a 2 hr drive from where we line in Mississippi. We follow all of Rich DeBerry’s social media pages, in which he’s very active in, as well as answering any questions you may have. I’ve personally being following Rich’s amazing achievements for the past 7 months. So I felt completely comfortable with our final decision to send Zeus off to the combination basic & advanced obedience board and train.Zeus was a lil stubborn, so he was able to have an extended stay with Rich. 😅 I have nothing but respect for this man!! When a trainer reaches out to you and lets you know that your dog is doing well, but he’d like to keep him longer to get him just right, and nothing more is needed on my part… You know that this is a man who takes pride and accountability for his work. His word is his bond. Straight shooter. No half stepping. He lets you know what it is, and what it ain’t.Zeus is a whole new puppy, and obedient as ever. His recall, amazing!!! During pick up, Rich goes over a handlers trainer course with the owners. He shows you everything he’s taught the dog and how to handle him on your own. Then he’ll have you practice while talking you through it, until you get it right. We were also able to purchase a prong collar, e collar, and our raw dog food upon pickup. They even threw in a happy, treat and some gear to wear!One thing I’d like to point out. You can go on the website ( or call the office) and set up an account online. This allows you to purchase the program you’re looking for, and make payments anytime to your account. You may choose to pay all at once, or half at drop off, and remaining balance at pick up, or pay the balance off before pick up. You’ll always have an account that you can pay your boarding stay or additional training to.We will definitely take advantage of boarding Zeus here when we go on vacations, as well as getting our raw dog food from him monthly.We appreciate all that you do Rich!!💪🏾 “Get you a Pressaaaaaaaa!”- The Purry’s 🐾

Sending my cane corso to LA Fundacion was one of my best decisions I’ve made with my dog. I couldn’t be more pleased with the training. Richard treated my dog like he was one of his own. Every step of the way I was sent videos and pictures of Groot’s training.Even when Groot left Richard called to check in to see if we needed anything and how the home training was coming along. I recommend LA Fundacion to anyone that’s looking for a 5 star dog trading facility.

They took AMAZING care of us and our Cane Corso. Rich is great with the dogs but more importantly, makes sure to teach and train the owners on the best way to keep up the training. He's always very responsive during boarding, and when we had issues after bringing our dog home, Rich came to our home and worked with us and our dog at our house. We cannot overstate how happy we are with his service and we cannot recommend La Fundacion K-9 enough.

I can't thank Rich enough for an awesome job he did with my German Shepherd Jerry Lee. Even though JL was an older dog with no proper training prior, Rich turned him into a brand new dog. I also respect the time that Rich took to work with me as well to make sure that I fully understood how important it will be going forward to make sure JL doesnt forget what he has learned. We dropped off our puppy for boarding for 8 days and they were great. We also plan on getting a protection dog in the near future. The owner Rich was happy to direct us in what to look for when selecting a breeder even though we aren’t interested in the breed he sells. We will definitely use him for our training when we select a puppy.

Very impressed with the kennels! Clean, strong and plenty of room! These are not pre-fab kennels, these are custom built with cinder block and welded iron! Owner/ trainer Rich DeBerry is the best! Great personality, professional, compassionate and hard working. He is truly dedicated to his dogs as well as client dogs. The dogs just seem to want to please him! He understands them and works patiently with them no matter the breed, size or age. Highly recommend LA Fundacion for all your dog training and boarding needs.

I highly recommend Rich with LA Fundacion. We dropped our girl off for the basic obedience board and train.It’s only been a few days, but the difference in her behaviour is there! She is much more confident and independent. Accidents in the house whenever we leave stopped. Walks are now a breeze (we have two girls) and she stopped pulling us around! She truly is a different dog and you can tell it was for the better. I cannot recommend Rich and what he does enough.

If you want best of the best hands on training. This is your guy. He takes one on one time with your dog every day to teach them respect and discipline. When you get your dog back, it will be a new dog. They will respect and obey you. Verbal commands with no handling. You and your companion will be best friends and both understand one another without having to get annoyed. Rich is great and successful with what he does because of the person he is. He not only cares about his customers but he cares about his animals and wants them leaving at their prime! That's a rare find!
