To try this I travelled from Arkansas to Louisiana just like 30 miles we missed last week cause they close 45mins prior to 9pm and only accept Togo charge you different not just a buffet price. Now hopefully we arrived at 7:30pm buffet price was 53$ for 2 with taxes. You this was so so expensive buffet I never visited. I don’t see much variety types of dishes just few but dishes what they serve are really delicious. This is like mostly family spot they should have hosted any DJ 🎧 for this price. The different thing I tried is fish 🐟 and ranch like sauce but not ranch coming to staff they are so friendly and front desk guys are senior citizens they’re so good. So finally if you do host DJ’s on Friday I do come again 🙃

This is my third time going to the Hollis Seafood Buffet . However, the last time was in 2007. We went on a Saturday evening around 7 pm. The parking lot was easy to park in, and we were able to come right in.We were greeted by several people and we paid for our meals. We walked around to a hostess station and we were asked which room we wanted to be seated in. We weren't familiar with the rooms, so we just said close to the buffet. (In retrospect, I would have selected a smaller quieter room, the large room was also quite cold.).We were seated and we got our food. The boiled shrimp was some of the best I've ever had. So were the fried shrimp. The crab and hot water corn bread tasted like it was frozen from a store, but everything else was pretty good. The fried catfish fillets were small and a little overdone, but the flavor was great. The other catfish dishes were really good. I went back for seconds. They have a HUGE variety of food, and the desserts were really good as well. I got the coconut cream pie. There is a mural on the wall, and it feels like you are in south Louisiana. The real star was the woman working the room. She was singing and she served, and I didn't have to get a drink refill once because she always came when I needed one.The bathrooms were kind of weird and the towel dispenser was broken and a dispenser roll was just sitting on the sink.Overall, I will go again. The price is good for the variety, but I would have expected the quality to be a little more consistent for how much I paid. $52.00 for my wife and I.

This used to be one of the few places I could go and be completely satisfied with their fish. It had been a couple of years since my last visit, probably before COVID. You can tell they no longer have the same cooks. They used to have farm raised catfish, but I don't know what that was tonight. The whole catfish was too hard. I was told my cost would be 25.62, but there was an upcharge for using my card (I was not informed, giving me an option to pay cash). Definitely will ask questions if I ever return.

Here is the thing, the food here in the past was beyond amazing. I would have rated it as one of the must visit places in Louisiana! We went this past weekend for the first time many months and the food was slightly off. The whole catfish and filets had a burned cornmeal tasted , and the whole fish was fried hard. The boiled shrimp were not labeled and it all seemed slightly disjointed. There was some type of shortage of tea and ice during the entire visit. There was no artificial sweeteners available! Hopefully we caught them on a bad night? I did have another friend share she was disappointed her last visit. I will update once I visit again, hopefully better next time!Made a return visit for my birthday, and the food was much better. It's more like the standards I was accustomed to there. Definitely will be back! That blackberry cobbler with ice cream is worth the trip!!! No peel boil shrimp so good!

To start off this place has SO MUCH PERSONALITY! It's a charming southern atmosphere. I loved the friendly southern vibes as well. The food here is AMAZING, and I'm a Pascatarian Vegetarian! I definitely will be back, I have also recommended to everyone I know and it's just my first time here! lol.Vegetarian options: There greens had NO MEAT, I appreciated that SO MUCH!! it's so hard to find a place that doesn't put meat in greens or greenbeans. Thank You!

Went there for the first time on Sunday. I've heard of this place for years and I have to admit it did not disappoint.Finding a place in this day and times that still serves real American catfish is getting so hard to do. But, they had three different kinds filet, whole and cajun seasoned. You want sides, they have them, anything you can want as well as other seafood items. Thanks for the service, y'all did not disappoint.

Delicious and fresh food. Love the atmosphere. My only complaint is parking. I'm always afraid I'm gonna pick something up in my tires in the grass. Other than that, I can't wait till we go back :)Parking: limited parking in front; rest of parking is grassy uneven areas.
