Ms Lisa knew right away what I was talking about she put me on a very short hold and returned with good news she had a patch and was placing on the front counter for me. How awesome is that !!!!!!! Best hardware store! They always have everything I need. Bought my Weber grill from them. Delivery and setup was very fast and professional! The thing I love the most about this Ace is that the owner Larry Gillio is always serving and giving back to the community as seen in this fundraiser I participated in at Ace for Habitat for Humanity. I needed a special part for battery powered, ego professional Plus ST 1521.Looked all over at the usual places. Found it at the Ace hardware in Slidell on Robert st. Walked right in told him the part I needed brought me to the back and I saw the parts they had in stock. They have a repair center!Part cost me 50 bucks. That's okay I was able to go home and start weed eating right away!

I visit Robert Road ACE at least twice a week ( and sometimes 3 times in a day if I’m stuck on a project!) and I love this place! I am always greeted at the door by a friendly face asking me what I need, and they always stick with me until I find what I need and/or my problem is solved. I do a lot of gardening and am always working on an outdoor project, and it never fails, someone on the staff will help me figure out the best way to do the job or solve the problem. I needed to build a makeshift greenhouse over one of my raised beds and Jerry took the time to figure out how many pieces of pvc pipe I needed, how long each piece needed to be, and the best way to fasten it all together. It worked out perfectly! The staff are so knowledgeable and friendly, and often take the time to help me figure something out even if it doesn’t require that I buy something there. That’s how you know they genuinely want to help. My grandpa owned one of the first stores in Slidell way back in the day, which eventually became Mire’s Hardware. When I am in Robert Road ACE, I feel like I have stepped back into the past, when people really cared and took the time to help, like it was in my grandpa’s store. Robert Road ACE is a one-of-a-kind place!

My go to place for keys. They always do the keys correctly. Awesome store with seasonal vegetables and herbs. Much faster than Walmart. I have been here several times to get little things to fix my apartment. They are always super helpful and make sure I get the right hardware.

In August I had a pretty big boiling job. I brought in my two propane tanks. I had been here several times to get my tanks filled. On this particular day I didn't recognize the kid who filled my tanks. I got to the customer site,setup and I couldn't figure out why my propane line kept freezing up. I was unable to complete the job and out of two grand. I called in several times that same day and know one had a clue of what was going on. Come to find out both tanks where over filled. Please train these kids better.Update Yes it did take me 4 months to send this but I bought new tanks and finally had some to figure out what was wrong. I have been to your store 10 times or more. This was just a very bad day for me in business and my name and I wanted some one to know about it.

There is no better service you can get than that at Ace Hardware on Robert Blvd. This is not based upon a single visit but on multiple visits over 30+ years. I will continue to support and purchase from this store regardless of any small price differences between Ace and the big box stores because the service is just that good.

I gave such a great review honest and earned. But returning. I believe I was profiled and treated as a shoplifter I purchased hundreds of dollars worth of spray paint. Unlikely I was hiding them in my pocket upon asking questions I received poor attitude and aggravlation hope my next visit if there is one goes better

Everything was great till i got to check out the guy with black long hair was rude he yanked my money out my hand it was like he didn't wanna be there.. I will never go back in that store again
