This is mainly a residential park, so if you're looking for a one-night stay but couldn't get a hold of the manager (call nor text) but tried to stop anyway because you have two small kids and an elderly dog and are brave to drive through the park searching for what you hope is one of two possible open spots due to the two envelopes at the cash drop box, you may find yourself in one of the only open spots - E61, where you'll most assuredly be awakened before the sun rises to the continual call of a singular crowing rooster at your neighboring site.Everything else was great 👍.

Drove through to check it out before we decided to stay and I am glad I did! A lot of permanent residence in the campsites and a lot of them were very trashed. Was a little scary to me. When we left I decide to look up the reviews again because i remembered a 4.3 and I was reading how several of the one nighters had lost their cats there. And found out that they were trapped and killed. I do not recommend this campground. I Believe a lot of the reviews that are five stars had to be put by someone that knows the owner.

I chose this campground specifically for its proximity to the Bonnie and Clyde Ambush Museum. We were very happy with the park. It’s super quiet and well kept. The laundry and bathrooms were very clean. Yes, there are a lot of full time residents, but, for the most part, everyone tends their site well. Our site was level, the staff were courteous and the value is tremendous!!

We pulled in late and the lady was very nice and put us in a pull through spot without even having to ask for it. We were able to just pull in and crawl in bed without the hassle of unhooking or leveling the trailer. Nice level spot with a deck and a view of the pond. Pretty little spot for a quick over night stay.

Called ahead and spoke with a wonderful lady who gave us a spot number and told us to head on over. Just right off the interstate, easy to find and easy to navigate park with map offered at the office. We pulled right in and enjoyed a great evening. Very quiet absolutely no road noise, absolutely no noise for that matter. We were in spot B36 which offers a pond view and a picnic deck area. You’d never imagine you were this close to the interstate. We will be back again! Highly recommend. Clean camp ground, mowed and big trash dumpster for use on the way out. Hook ups were in good shape and street lamps as well. Our 3 dogs loved this place. Our rig is 35ft and we had PLENTY of room and navigated easily thru park.

Quiet RV park right off the interstate but feels like it's in the woods. Very quiet and tranquil. I'm very happy we found this place. Very easy to get to as well. I love the price per night as it is only a couple dollars a night more than the state parks and they have sewer hook ups. That alone is worth the price. The lots are nice and shaded and ours has a patio with a nice picnic table. I will definitely stay again when we travel this way.

Full hookups for $35 cash deposited in a night box. That's a little much. We called the # on the office door after 7pm and were instructed to take a map and go to a pull thru site. She was very nice. There was a big group of people gathered in the road on our way into the loop and took them a minute to move, just staring blankly as we passed. Awkward. The site wasn't level with the way we stayed hooked up to our 35' TT, but we made it work. The site across from us was full of junk and trash. Train horn but it was distant. Steep hill on the way out but we made it up even in the rain.

Very unlevel terrain/parking. Bathroom drain stopped up in ladies & men's bathroom water didn't drain & walls were leaking. Bugs we're really bad. no signs for different sections for parking. Some scary areas of park. At first I told my husband I didn't want to stay but we left first thing in morning. We had no security issues but also didn't talk to anyone else. We would not stay here again.

For the evening stay, we were placed in a space that the dump drainage was clogged. It could have been very messy, but the issue was caught very soon! We dumped at a neighboring site that worked! It made for an interesting morning -- one not wanting to repeat! Other than that, the camping is in a very picturesque setting and every site has a deck area. The camp owner's hospitality is the best and the area is calm and inviting! It is also very convenient to Interstate 20. Enjoy your stay!

We were more than happy with our overnight stop here. Tammy was very personable over the phone and everything was ready for us when we arrived after hours. Our pull through spot was lovely. This park is wooded with ponds and birds. We joked about wanting to live there... which a few people have evidently decided to do!

Overall I had a very pleasant experience. Cool hilly layout for the camp sites. I stayed there for a month in a nice site. Toni (Manager) was very friendly and helpful. Some of the cons is that the bathrooms have mold and poor plumbing. They clean them once per week. Also some of the permanent quests are trashy and trash/litter can be found throughout the park. Also the internet wifi signal does not carry-out to the south end of the campground.

We stayed here twice, once on the way to Dallas for a wedding and then again on the way out of Dallas. It is right off of I-20, easy access into the park. The roads in the park are a little rough, some potholes and tight turns. Check in both times was fast and friendly. We stayed in B-36 both stays, it is the perfect site. A level, gravel pull through with full hookups and no issues with any of them. The site is on top of a hill with a large wooden deck (most sites have one) with a picnic table and a nice view of the stocked pond. It was plenty long enough for our 37-foot Class A, tow-dolly and parking the car. There are a number of permanent residents, some are a little rough. There is some trash laying around, but on our second visit it seemed some of it had been picked up. There are two permanent residents that never clean up after their dogs and of course it was always right in front of our RV. With all of that we did enjoy our stay. There is road noise, you will have that with easy access to the highway and a loud train. We stayed February 20-27, 2018 and again March 8-11, 2018. Did not use the laundry or bathrooms. WiFi was spotty and our Verizon signal was just okay. There is some road noise and a train. There is nothing in Simsboro so shopping/eating is 20 minutes or more away. We paid $125 weekly rate first stop and $25.00 a night the second stop with our Good Sam Discount.

Nice place but if you can't sleep through a freight train passing by, you may want to look elsewhere. I was wakened 3 times during the night but my wife slept right through it. Only reason I gave it four stars instead of five.

Stayed 4-30-2018 There is nothing fancy about this park. But it right off the freeway. Arrived on a Sunday with no one in office, but they had left envelope with everything we needed to park. Grave/dirt road was tight navigating. But was doable in our Class A. Park was quite in the afternoon, but you can hear the freeway and several trains in the area. Only stayed 1 night. Would use again if in the area.

We have stayed here twice. There are few pull-throughs ...the first we had was not very level but worked ok. Second was good getting in, but almost impossible exit for big rig towing a car (cannot back the towbar). Heavy trees provide lots of privacy, but likely block sat tv access. Strong wifi but code was not on map we picked up so we could not access. Might be good location for longer stay w/portable dish, but only good point for overnight is proximity to I-20. We'll probably stop somewhere else next time.

I don't see how this park has a 4.3 star rating all you need to do is look atone photo on there site to see it look like a homeless park. There is only one photo but more spots that look just like it. The sade pare of this is it really could be a nice park if they just put a little effort into it.

This place is awesome. We picked it out because it was the right distance for our final destination. I can tell you we were pleasantly surprised. We recommend you stay here on your way through Louisiana.

Nice park and owner. There was trash in our fire ring though which was odd but didn't bother us too much bc we were just staying the night and passing through to get to TX.

Spots are clean, quit location. Easy access off of hwy. Could use some clean up of longtime residents and cleanup of trees some spots are hard to back in.
