Panda definitely had a great time when we were away for vacation.We went on an 8-day trip and this is our 7-month-old puppy first time boarding. I was so concerned and went to check 5 other boarding services in town before I found Derrell.Panda is a Shih Tzu with long coat and a top knot. He needs to be brushed everyday. He also has tear stain problems that requires special feeding instructions and daily clean. Not to mention Panda loves to get muddy when he goes for a walk…Derrell was the only person listened to my concerns among all the boarding services I visited.Panda’s first meeting with Derrell went really well. Panda was concerned about the big dogs, but eventually they were able to walk along peacefully in 15 minutes. I thought it was a great chance for Panda to get socialized.Yes, after our vacation, Panda came back home cheerfully and clean, and his tear stains get better controlled! It proved how much caring he was given in Staycation Pets when we weren’t there for him.My only complaint would be I hoped to get more photos and videos of Panda, because we missed him so much. We repeatedly watching all the videos in case we missed Panda’s tail or leg in a frame. However, from the videos Derrell shared with us, we don’t feel Panda missed us at all. 🤷‍♀️Whatever, they are fully booked on Christmas Day so we are going to take Panda to Utah with us. Staycation Pets and Derrell will be our only go to from now on.

I am super selective, when it comes to boarding my pups.Hands down I will be using Staycation again. Derrell and his family was amazing with my babies.He took the time to do a meet and great prior to boarding. He also sends pictures and updates.I love that it is a smaller more homey type environment, so they get more one on one time.

Derrell truly went above and beyond with my expectations. He asked very detailed questions about my dogs and followed through with all of his promises. He sent multiple pictures of them having a blast all weekend long and even put together a video of them and put it on YouTube! He updated me with everything that came to his attention throughout their stay and replaced my electric training collar when it was accidentally broken. Derrell and his family took extremely good care of my dogs and they were WORN out the car ride home and slept all evening/night long when we got home. Derrell is a professional dog sitter and I will always recommend him to anyone who needs his excellent services!

I am so happy I found Staycation Pets! This is the best experience I have ever had boarding my dog. No more scary vet visits for us. We have found our fur-ever boarder. I highly recommend Staycation Pets! We were out of town for a week, and we never had to worry about our baby. She was practically adopted into their family while we were gone. They brushed and bathed her and took her to the pet store. She even got some leash training. I cannot say enough good things about Darrell and his family. I will be bringing her back in the future and recommending to all of my friends. Thanks Staycation Pets for taking such great care of our baby girl!

I will be using Staycation pets for boarding from now on.My dog is not a common breed and can be a difficult dog to watch sometimes. From all i saw Derrell is very skilled with dogs. My dog instantly liked him in a way ive never seen in regaurds to new people. I was very comfortable leaving our dog with him.We had to book last minute and drop him off early with no issue even with him being a new boarder. I was able to text screenshots of some information I didn't have time to find in paper form that was very helpful.When I handed him off it was very smooth he understood and listened to my dogs training and some issues.We where messaged any questions or pictures and videos. We could see how happy our dog was. The kids loved that. I really can't explain enough how pleasant it was that Derrell was able notice almost every detail on and about my dog.Our dog had to stay for an extra night and there was no issue with the short notice.For no extra charge our dog was given a bath on arrival and when I asked to go without the bath they get before they leave there was no issue. Derrell did an amazing job with our dogs bath. He looked happy and relaxed the whole time.My dog was very calm and relaxed when we picked up. He greeted us and calmly waited while I spoke to Derrell about how it went. This is out of the norm for him as well as his breed. Our dog only relaxes in his home.This was the best decision we made for the care of our dog.

Our pup has been there twice and he loves It. Milo gets bathed before we pick him up and he gets a little bit of training while he stays there. They have been working with our dog on pulling while walking and now our dog no longer pulls.Last time we were getting ready to drop our dog off, he ended up crying at Staycations door because he wanted to go into the household and play. the pup didn’t want to say bye to his dad! Highly recommend this place if you feel anxious leaving your dog anywhere. Your dog will have the time of his life at staycations. Aka sleep the next three days after getting home because he’s so tired from all the playing.

We’re thrilled to have found Derrell and Staycations Pets! When we’re out-of-town or know our sweet girl will be left at home by herself for extended hours during the day, we now have a place we can take her where she’ll be in a home away from home and get both nurturing and mental stimulation. Playing with other pups, running in the yard chasing balls, and going for long walks are all part of the routine. Not only that, Derrell knows dogs and knows a lot about training them. In three days, he had Shadow walking off leash and coming to him when she felt tempted to react to a truck driving by. We appreciated the daily videos he sent. She was a bit shy and nervous when we first took her, but when we saw her playing with another Staycations pup in the kitchen, we knew she felt at home.We appreciate that Derrell requires a “meet & greet” with him and his dogs along with shot records before he’ll keep a pup. As a bonus, they all get a bath and blow-dry during their stay. Shadow came home a clean and happy girl. I have no doubt the next time she goes, she’ll be pulling us to Staycations Pets’ front door excited to go in! Five stars!!

The best boarding service I have ever used, and the only one I will ever use again! The attention and care they give to each and every dog is what makes this place so perfect! My dog has anxiety and PTSD and they catered to his needs and made him so comfortable, he instantly fell in love with them!

BEST place ever! Left our 2 dogs for 7 days and it was the best decision we ever made. Their schedules were not interrupted, which is so vital with special needs dogs, especially one that was insulin dependent. Furthermore, they don’t just automatically like you—you have to earn it! Nope, not him! He was their best friend from the pull up and neither of them had never seen this man before! I mean they loved him, which speaks volumes already!! He offers a meet and greet before but my work schedule would never allow it. They did not want to leave when I came to pick them up—literally! Never have I boarded them anywhere that transitioned so easy and zero stress on them. Every place prior they do not eat bc they are away from us. Not here! They ate every meal which has never happened before, ever!! It was a literal vacation for them too!! Little did we know that we only had 2 more months left with Molly but to know that us leaving her caused zero stress and she was happy—there will never be words of gratitude for him loving her like his in our absence!!!Oh—this is a BIG one! When he sees something change or off, he text you immediately. Molly had diabetes and it was starting to affect her eyes and I forgot to inform him of that. Didn’t need to bc he text me and said her eye did not seem right. I can assure you, no where else would have noticed such a small change but he did!Maci sheds like crazy! I have never had a dog who sheds the way she does and whatever he uses, it is magic and a miracle! It works works!!He will forever be our go to!! He is amazing and kind and will genuinely care and love them in your absence! Thankfully he is so dang beyond reasonable but he could name his price and I would pay it without one question bc he is that damn great!! Plus he sends u pictures and updates which is good and bad! Good bc you know they are doing amazing, being cared for and so well loved but bad in that my ego was hurt to see just how happy they were and didn’t miss us one bit!

We had an amazing experience with Staycation Pets when our dog Suki stayed with them while our family was on vacation. Darrell went above and beyond to ensure Suki was comfortable and he showed great patience with her unique personality. The regular video updates he sent us were a wonderful touch, providing us with peace of mind knowing our sweet Suki was being well looked after. Any time I need a dog sitter this is the place we go!! The communication is perfect and they send pictures like this of bath and play time. The price is beyond affordable and everytime I try to pick my dog up he always goes back to their front door 😂 so with that being said even my pup wants to stay and that's the proof my dog is treated properly and loved on well while in their care! I love boarding my dog here and so will you !

My First time ever trusting someone with my 2 fur babies (frenchies) outside of my house and I couldn’t have been more happy with the experience. I had a great time while I was away from them because staycation have the security that my babies would too and they did!! They almost didn’t want to leave. They had to much fun making new friends and they came back home smelling great.

So thankful that we found Staycation Pets! Normally we use our vet for boarding until we found this place on a last minute decision due to our vet being fully booked. It happened to be the best thing that could happen for our Maverick. He was there for 9 days and we have noticed a huge difference in obedience. He was so fresh and clean when picking him up and smells so good! He is following commands on first try, where before he was more stubborn. On top of training the pets, Staycation pets groom them, play with them, walk them and allow them to be free roam inside with the other dogs. We loved that we received video and pic updates of Maverick’s experience the whole way through! We will definitely be using Staycation Pets from here on out and highly recommend to all pet lovers!

So thankful to have found staycation pets and be able to trust someone with our beautiful girl Sadie. The first time we took her she went for grooming she came back smelling amazing they did a wonderful job. And the times after that she went for boarding I’d receive pictures, videos, and updates about her which I absolutely loved it would make me feel so much better about leaving her which I hate to do. What a lovely experience! I was concerned about my older ranch dog playing well with others, people included. Darrell took the necessary time and was very patient to assess my dogs and make sure all parties would be safe. He and his family are very engaged and knowledgeable about the dogs and their mannerisms. They took pictures and let me know how things were going during our travels. We returned to calm and well mannered dogs. Also clean!!! I would recommend and use their services again. What a pleasure!!!! Thank you!

Another great stay week-long stay for Fawkes and Nitro. We received regular updates, photos, and videos. It's like they had their own doggo-vacation while we were on ours. Full service, no crates, indoor and outdoor freedom...just like they were at our house. Never had to worry about them a bit. Highly recommend.
