Much better experience here than the big chain pet stores. The fish look much healthier. We sat and talked with the owner for an hour since this is our first saltwater setup. We got all the info we needed and some healthy fish and a shrimp. We haven't had any problems. They all look healthy, happy and are eating well. We will be back when we are ready for some coral and more fish!

The family and I went to the store yesterday. There was absolutely gorgeous tanks filled with life, just full of color absolutely stunning. I wanted everything in the coral reef tanks. I could not even focus on one thing there was so much life and so much beauty thriving together. We bought a Gonaporia , Kenya tree, and a hammerhead Euphyllia . They were stunning in his tanks, and doing absolutely wonderful today. Scott the owner was very helpful and very knowledgeable. He answered any questions that I had and where to make each new baby happy in our saltwater tank. He had a gorgeous variety of freshwater fish as well. We absolutely cannot wait to visit the store again and find more babies for our coral reef :)

I have been buying saltwater fish and coral from Scott for more than 10 years. His fish and corals are always healthy, tanks clean, quality products. He can order almost anything if you are looking for something specific I only shop here for all my aquarium stuff.

Bought my very first tank from Aquarium Concepts about 18 years ago and it's still in use today . I have been dealing with Scott for years and never had a bad experience. Great customer service and and a nice guy. Definitely recommend going to Aquarium Concepts for any of your aquatic needs. Just pick up this torch coral and it's doing great!

I've always had really friendly and knowledgeable service here. I love that they carry a selection of saltwater fish and coral in store, I think they may have the biggest selection in our area. I've also had them come to my home for tank cleaning which was a great experience.

Aquarium Concepts is a local gem. I just wish I had found out about it sooner.  This isn't your "gold fish" store. If you are serious about the fish keeping hobby this is the place you need to be. We have been several times now and purchased quite a few fish, mbuna african cichlids, hap venustas & synodontis catfish, for our 75 gallon tank. There is no one in the area that has a healthier and large variety of colors to choose of cichlids. We will be returning again soon to finish stocking up on mbunas once these get acclimated to the tank.Mr. Scott (the owner) has been in the business since the early 1980s and it shows in his knowledge and understanding of fish keeping. He is extremely helpful with any questions (I would know because I bring a list everytime I go. lol) and just general conversation you might have about fish keeping. He has a large variety of fresh and salt water fish in the store, as well as anything else you will need (tanks, lights, filters, food, decloinator, etc).This is a fun family friendly place to shop and visit (our 4 year girl loves it) she is a little wild but he is very patient and understanding, he always has some kind of popsicle or treat for the kids and often has his three border collies in the back of the store as well which are a lot of fun for the kids.Bottom line when you shop here you are going to pay the same prices or less than you would at a big box store, have a better variety of fish to choose from and just a way better overall experience. You are not going to find anyone in the area more knowledgeable than you are here.We will definitely be returning regularly.

Aquarium concepts is such an amazing place to buy the best showcasing Freshwater and saltwater fish. I just bought an black Altolamprologus calvus and a Julidochromis Transcriptus which was very healthy. The customer service is amazing.

Aquarium Concepts is the perfect place! We purchased two Clownfish and a Cleaner Shrimp which we love. We found the owner takes pride in the store and the quality of products he sells. His selection and quality of fish is second to none. The customer service he provides makes the first time customer feel like you are part of his family. Super impressed and headed back soon to make another purchase!

I'm really impressed with how well this tank turned out. Scott was kind enough to help me out after I had my old one bust and needed a new one asap. I even got a new skimmer which is SO easy to work. A few of my fish are from scott & are still going strong and healthy after 2+ years. 10/10 would reccomend to anyone looking for new tanks and healthy fish! He also has a really reliable service route. Thanks!

Then the wife and I got to meet the puppers and took the nickel tour of the shop, all the while Scott was a great host. Much appreciated. This store is great! I started a new African cichlid tank. The owner was extremely knowledgeable and helpful. All fish have been in the tank for over a week and all are extremely happy and healthy. If you are looking for a good fish and supplies this is the shop for you. Also extremely military friendly.

Me and my husband came here to look at a stand for a tank but ended up buying the stand and a brand new tank. The owner Scott had a wonderful deal on a 90 gallon tank. The staff was so kind and helpful. I highly recommend for all your fish supply needs. Had some very beautiful colorful fish. The owner loves and supports our military . Locally owned and operated!!

My husband and daughter went to Aquarium Concepts last week in hope of purchasing a 75 gal aquarium. They found what they were looking for as well as super friendly good service. Scott did not try to sell you the best of everything. However gave great advice on what you really needed. I’m going soon to purchase some fish from him. Great hidden gem! Check it out.

I absolutely adore this store! They have the best selection, the owner is the nicest guy and so very helpful. I plan on making all my future aquarium hobby purchases here! Anything I want to order, and anything I need as well as any help on questions Mr. Scott is the go to guy! Cannot say enough about how wonderful this place is, I love to sit and chat and admire the beautiful selection of fish in this store that no one else in the Shreveport/Bossier area has!

I was in a bind needed starfish to feed my harlequin shrimp and no pet store in Arkansas near me had any. Got online looked up pet Stores and came across this one called and he had some chocolate chip stars , So I drove an 1:45 min All the fish seemed really healthy, tanks and shop was very neat, clean and organized. The owner Scott was very friendly, informative and helpful. He told us how he quarantines all his fish before they are put out for customers to buy! Went for Startfish and Needless to say I bought way more than I went for and I will be going back very soon. Y’all should really go check him out it is worth the drive ❤️

I traveled from Texas and stopped in to check out the store. It's locally owned with a nice selection of fish, coral, equipment, and service. The owner is very friendly and knowledgeable and spends time with you answering your questions. I highly recommend him for your fresh or saltwater needs. It's worth the drive!

Great place to buy fish. We've bought 6 fish so far, and all have been very healthy. No sickness and they eat on the first day in the tank. The owner is also very knowledgeable and friendly.
