we live right by this family dollar, we stop in a lot for things we don’t feel like driving all the way to walmart for… i do not think we will continue. tonight we went for stuff for grilled cheese and found cheeses that expired in january, june, and september (not pictured). also there’s been a can (an employee can, i’ve worked retail, i know the receipt thing) sitting on this shelf since october 24th…it’s november 15th. the employees are all passive aggressive and seem like they hate their jobs, and again i’ve worked retail so i get it, but you don’t portray that to the customers.

Scott location has the rudest manager. Sign in store has a price for drinks 2/$3.50. Get to register, and it rang up 2/$4.00. Told her about it, and she said that it took off 70 cents. I told her that it should have taken off $1.20 because the Dr. Pepper was $2.35 each. She said that the Sign with 2 for $3.50 is wrong, and she's not giving it to me for that price. Very rude

Very rude cashier. I picked up a pair of sleeping pants that are rolled and tied with a ribbon, they had no price tag or size tag on them like the others, I was looking in the waste band to find size and cashier Hollars from register “ma’am don’t open those” I said “ not opening them I’m looking for size tag in waste band” cashier “ don’t get a attitude it’s on the tag don’t open them” me “ no ma’am it’s missing the tag and I’m not opening them” cashier” don’t get a attitude “. No attitude was given from me but plenty from her. There literally tied with a string. I could have “ opened them” and then re rolled them but I didn’t. I was just trying to find the size. But it’s ok I don’t have to buy there stuff, I went elsewhere and purchased what I needed. The store is a mess and you’re worried about a pair of sleep pants. 🙄

Where do I even start… I have literally never walked into a worse store than this pathetic excuse of a Family Dollar. We are in south Louisiana and box fans cooling it off is not going to cut it. When I asked the employees why it’s so hot in the store, they say that when they report our complaints to Corporate, they say the box fans are “cooling it off enough”. We all know that’s not true at all. The heat is so bad that the front door shattered and they say it’s because of the heat... well if you fix the air conditioner, that wouldn’t happen. The door has know been “fixed” with a piece of wood and it looks horrible. That happened about two months ago and it’s still not fixed. You can barely walk around because there is too much inventory being ordered and nowhere to put it in the small store. I recently went in and once I made a loud noise in my buggy, I heard crawling in the ceiling. 9 times out of 10, recently in these past few months, the workers are very rude and don’t look like they are having a swell time themselves because of the HEAT. One time I had went to use the bathroom like I always had the times I needed in the past and when I got out, I was told that there was no “Public Bathroom” and that it was an employee only bathroom. The bathrooms are a female and male setup and the employees are so lazy to clean them that they made both bathrooms only for themselves. Maybe Corporate should go to their stores and see what’s actually going on in their stores. This Family Dollar is really close to my house which is why I still rarely go, but when I’m there to shop after one minute of walking in the door, I am sweating like hell. I am not one to try to make someone look bad but this is a very necessary thing to say and the Family Dollar corporation needs to do something about it.

It's always super crowded and messy. When you complain about it the workers get agitated and will argue with you and talk about you even after you've left the store.

1 clerk, line when I walked in, line when I left, ran out of paper, clerk left register and line to go to back to find paper for register because she couldn't find upfront, and that was after trying to override prompt no receipt roll replace 30 times.
