Love this store in Prairieville, the staff are great. Have been customers for 25 years. The staff is always helpful, know their inventory & where to find things if they carry it. Also after every serious hurricane, they have opened right away while the big Walmart across the street stays closed for days to a week. Also This Winn Dixie hires handicapped on their staff. We also love the aop & that there is a pharmacy there too.

You get lucky several times as they offer good deals. Variety of products ranging from house cleaning to food to kitchen supply to vegetable. Bakery items are nice and you can place orders for cakes. You can also get the balloon air service here. Highly recommended.

Prices are very high compared to other local stores. In many cases, sale price and b1g1 prices are still higher than the normal prices at rouses, ralph's, and hi neighbor. I don't think I'll ever go back unless i had no other option.

First thing I see every time I go there is the employees smoking right next to the propane tanks. Hot deli often has food that has been sitting out for over five hours. The one time I mentioned this to them they said the times were wrong on the tags so I guess you cannot trust any of the times or dates. Real problem with out of date product on the shelves, at one point if I didn't check every date as I was buying it I always ended up finding something out of date when I got home. Prices are high on most items, wait for a buy one get one sale If you want it to be reasonable. Meat is garbage. No one there knows how to cut a pork chop, don't expect any kind of decent steak. Look at the picture below to see what they try to pass off as sausage.My latest visit found this out of date item. They put the Sir Kensington's ketchup on close out so I decided to grab a few bottles. They were expired. IN MARCH! You think when they went to hang the closeout signs they might have noticed, but they just don't care there. Dropping review down to 1.

Store is clean. Service was ok. The odd thing was that they only had one brand of a particular item that tends to be common now a days. It was a store brand, and it was either regular or organic. Most other stores have multiple versions and by multiple companies at the store. Beer and liquor were on opposite ends of the store. They had no cashiers. Just self check out.

Love the prices, shelves are always stocked, just wish they could get more workers. Maybe I just try to go too late at night haha. This is definitely my go to for quality meat selections

Make sure you guys check your receipts before leaving this store! They advertise prices and they're rung up differently.Also when I returned the items , the store manager stood right at the cash register service desk flirting with a woman and didn't even service me. He then finally called then young man to the service desk to rang me up.The guy that came to the service desk was so racist! When he reached out to hand me the money, before I could grip it, all the money fell on the counter and he put the put the return receipts on my bags. I didn't get an apology or anything.Definitely will not be coming back to this store

I frequent Winn-Dixie often as it’s the closest to my house. They have a good selection of meat and almost always has everything I normally search for, except Jello strawberry cheesecake cup. They only sell Jello temptations, which is pretty much the same thing (but the Jello Brand has way more strawberry and a softer pudding). The store is always clean, the associates are very helpful when needed. Their bell peppers could be a little more fresher but that’s ok, they get the job done for the most part.

Update Nov 14, 2023: Prices have gone UP again! Now, they're more expensive than Albertson's, & I don't shop Alberstson except for a few sales. It's time to stop shopping Winn Dixie, too. Thank goodness for local retailers who don't put "big city prices" on their products.------A nice store though the meat department always seems to be low on stock for some reason. We really like the pharmacy which has fast, friendly service, a drive-thru window, and a nice app to keep up with refills, etc. Everyone who works in the store always seems to be very friendly, though you may have to approach them for help which is no big deal because they're actually working and not just standing around. Would've given 5-stars but knocked one off for their tendency to jack prices on items when they have a BOGO sale, making the apparent discount not as good as the term would imply.

Spent 606$ and at checkout were told we had to Self Checkout!!! It took us 20 minutes and we were blocking other self checkouts and couldn’t do the many produce items so a young employee had to do the produce. Told us if you come in last hour before closing, you HAVE TO DO SELFCHECKOUT! We won’t be using Winn Dixie anymore!! We spend a LOT ON GROCERIES AND WERE LOYAL CUSTOMERS. BUT ARE IN OUR 70s and can’t do self check for that many groceries at our age!!! I guess Winn Dixie doesn’t care for their senior citizens. 😢😠😡

Staff always super friendly. Tonight an employee saw how bad I was limping and lifted the dog food for me.It would be five stars based on staff but one thing drives me crazy. Besides being too far out, every cart return is faced the wrong way. You have to go past it, turn and come back. So nobody ever returns them. Silly but until you walk to one you don't realize how stupid the layout is.

Needed just a few items for Thanksgiving dinner. The store was super clean, aisles easily marked, friendly staff and good selection of merchandise. When I was ready to check out a cashier opened a new register and gave me the discounted prices since I did not have that set of keys with me. She also informed me how to get the application on my smart phone. Will be returning.

How was Winn-Dixie you ask. It's exactly the same as ever. Shelves were fully stocked and if you don't see what you were looking for there are plenty of employees that will go check the back of the store for you. Some prices high and some prices at a great deal. Nice rewards program for future savings. As long as they keep this up I'll keep coming back.

Winn Dixie pharmacy staff is incredible, impressive and very efficient. The customer is their top priority for sure. 3 staff members manage to run that pharmacy better than pharmacies with 6-8 members. And they ALWAYS answer the phone unlike other places. Great job team! Keep up the great work. Switching all my prescriptions to them as we speak!!! 😊👍

Size of store is good and supplies are good. I do have to watch expiration dates on dairy...cheese and milks...I can't consume products too fast so I need long expiration dates. Fairlife! Good long dates and they carry it. Good varieties. Sales are good. Have baggers and buggies and not too crowded

Everyone is friendly and helpful. The store is very clean and stocked well. The people in the deli are great. They ask how they can help with a smile.The meats look great in deli and the meat case.They have just enough of each item you can choose from without it being too many choices. I plan on making this my go to grocery place. Would recommend to anyone.

They have fully stocked shelves, unlike some other local stores, and they carry most of the brands I like. The store is very clean. My only real complaint is that there is seldom more than one (or at the most 2) registers open. They try to force you to use the self checkout, but lots of things can't be checked out there, and they only have one clerk handling all the self-check registers.

VERY beautiful store. When a person walks in the first thing that is notices is how clean the store is and the beautiful flooring that is in the produce and deli section. Full deli, bakery and seafood department with odd veggies and seafood. The meat department's area had very good meat that was very fresh and the staff was very helpful. Well stocked and the store even has a pharmacy. and a very nice wine section This store is huge and is very well laid out.

Always a pleasure shopping here. Very well staffed, clean, and easy to get around. I don't shop here alot but when I do I wonder why I don't more often. Employees are easy to find if I need assistance. Clerks are courteous and helpful. The pharmacy is efficient and accommodating if I need an order filled faster or if Dr hadn't called in refills.

I still love Winn Dixie, the store itself, i just don't understand what happened to customer service! This place lost that years ago! I guess cause I'm older now, I've realized that is long gone. Ihate it when I'm taking my groceries to my car, and an employee is out picking up buggies, they will stand by your cart waiting you to finish putting things in your car ( like a hawk) and never offer to help! It's so disappointing. After checking out a customer, some cashiers will just stand there and not help customers put bags in their cart! People amaze me!

This is my go-to place for large grocery purchases, as well as other essentials they might have. Basically, this is THE place to go instead of Wal-Mart across the street. The workers at this Winn-Dixie are always friendly, helpful and they DON'T tackle you on your way out to rummage through your bags to "make sure" you didn't steal anything. Their lanes are always going smoothly and they will quickly call for more cashiers as needed.You may indeed pay a few extra dollars at the end of your receipt, but I will gladly pay that for the positive experience I receive by shopping at this location. I have NEVER been disappointed going here.
