We ordered a large chicken salad sandwich tray yesterday . If each half had a teaspoon of chicken salad on it you were lucky! A lot had almost none! That was 30.00 something dollar tray for a Mardi Gras ball. All food was gone except the sandwiches. I was so embarrassed! I shop there all the time and would have never expected to get that bad of product with their name on it.

Not terrible, but frustrating... need to stock better yogurt, milk, ketchup, cereal. And the parking lot exit is just asking for an accident.

My Favorite place to shop. 2nd only to Wal-Mart, Rouses'everyday prices & brand variety are great. Store is always well stocked. Fruits & vegetables always fresh. The Backery has so many delicious things fr Bread to pie. Great place to pick up something for supper to cook or good Hot. Southern food & grab a bouquet of flowers at a great price. Ice sold at store. LSU merchandise & more. No waiting in line. Great sales.

Employees seem kind. Sometimes prices are incorrectly labeled, so be cautious if you're looking at good deals.One of the cart pushers talks way too much.

I don’t think I’ve ever had a horrible experience at Rouses. I will say they are almost always out of shredded lettuce, which can be a inconvenience. It’s a hit and miss on other items I tend to get as well, such as, the big hazelnut creamer containers. All the cashiers are nice, customer service is friendly. The prices are a little higher as opposed to surrounding stores.

Mr Bourgeois,You are not reaching your full potential I assure you. Mr Rouse would be embarrassed at what I just paid $11 for @ 9:27am this morning for my first meal of the day. I’ll be sure to cook at home moving forward. Perhaps if the breakfast bar is to be closed down when the food runs out, it’d be wise to change the sign to say that rather than suggesting I can get a good breakfast up until 10am .OR perhaps you should lead you team in a fashion that reflects why you have the title of Store Manager. But what do I know? I’m just another stranger… #BeBetterIn case this doesn’t make it to your desk, I’ll be sure to send you an email after church, when I find the time.

Great store overall. Overcharged me for a dog treat because they didn't know the price of it (I checked afterwards). Should be a little more focused on checking all product prices but it's no huge deal. It's happened a few times with the niche items.

Very clean. No crowded aisles. Great produce and meats although a little pricey. Really nice selection of almost every thing even with this close to Christmas.

Would stop by for lunch all the time. The racks of premade lunches are places just inside the door so I could walk in grab something off the rack grab a drink from one of the coolers by the cash registers and be out the door in less than 5 minutes. Management does an excellent job with employee training it seems, and store is well maintained.

Shopped at Rouses for over 20 years &;love it. But how interesting to find a Banana Gentilly Cake (& I bought it!!) At this location. Who knew??? Only found out last year they have a Chocolate Gentilly Cake. These should be offered ALL THE TIME!! Withholding amazing desserts. I visit family - do Birthdays & go to events often -;I always bring dessert!!! I ALWAYS go to Rouses for them. Let your light shine for all to see!!!!❤️

The produce is always fresh, the Baby Back ribs are perfectly seasoned, and I can always find items that are hard to find anywhere else. The ladies in the Bakery are outstanding. They go the extra mile to make the cakes and cookies decorated beautifully.

I HATE going to this place when using my EBT card. Lately, my card hasn't been scanning so the numbers need to be keyed in at checkout. Today the cashier Gina said she needed me to read the numbers aloud while she typed it in. Would they want the same thing from someone with a credit card that doesn't scan? Reading a card number aloud in front of other customers in line? I stayed out of this store for 2 years after my last visit. 2 years ago while I attempted to check out, the cashier (an older lady) said really loudly and with a nasty attitude "I don't take food stamps at this register."I hate this store with everything in me, but it's literally walking distance from my home. Doesn't matter anymore...I'm not going back.

Deli experience on last 10+ visits has been disappointing. No one looks up and offers to help. When you finally get someone's attention, it's immediately clear that you are interrupting them. I can forgive a visit or two, but it has become the current standard.

Called to check to see if they had sale item in stock and could not get through to meat dept. I then tried operator nothing. Called back and got front desk but she wouldn’t allow me to tell her I already tried meat dept. before she transfers me to wait again for no answer. Called back & told her I’d already tried meat dept. but could she check/find out. Oh no I can’t leave front desk. Is she only one running store??

This location of Rouses Market it's fantastic. The employees are extremely courteous, very helpful, and make sure we have a good shopping experience. The only problem I have with it is that some of their prices are kind of high. But for the service you get, it's kind of worth it.

I had the pleasure of Mr. Earl at the Prairieville store helping me locate Diet Rite Pure Zero cola in 2 liter bottles. He went out of his way to do some checking of stock in the back and came back with the last four bottles in his hands and placed them in my cart. I was thrilled because I have been searching for this product since the middle of the Summer. Mr. Earl was kind enough to let me know that when the salesperson came to the store, he would tell him to order more of this product to put on the shelves. Mr. Earl made my day with his enthusiasm, pleasant & helpful attitude - keep up the great work, Mr. Earl, as you are an asset to Rouses store and its customers!

Haven't been to this store much since moving out of the area. Therefore, I am not familiar with the items or where they are anymore. Asked for assistance couple times. Service was prompt, friendly and eager to guide and show me where items were opposed to just telling me an area and isle #. Not wanting to leave out that upon checking out at the register, I had numerous heavy items, my cashier was quick to come from behind the register and help me load heavy items onto the belt, then back into the buggy, along with offering assistance she could call to have someone help me load items into the trunk of car. Everyone went above and beyond in a very quickly manner while they were already extremely busy & probably stressed due to everyone out shopping to stock up before Hurricane Nate arrives. Amazingly I saw nor felt that any of the employees felt this stress or fear. This is a 5 star grocery store that I will now start driving out of my way to visit more often, just to continue to receive the awesome treatment they All give their customers! KUDOS!!!

Great store friendly and knowledgeable staff. Great selection of specialty cheeses and wine as well as fresh king cakes and breads. While this store may be small it has everything you need for a full grocery shopping. ...and did I mention the best meat market and butchers around.

Staff is very friendly and attentive, fresh food is fresh and smells good, squash was perky, only found spot on one potato in a 5# bag. Switched it out no problem. Very good experience here.

Rouses market on hwy 42 has lost my business due to double charging me and refusing to refund. On July 27th power went off as soon as my transaction was complete. Manager insisted I swipe my card again despite the cashier telling her that the transaction went through. I was hesitant to this and asked "what happens if I am charged twice?" Manager replies "just call the store but this would be unlikely to be charged twice." I was indeed charged twice and despite making several calls and visit to the store with bank statements Rouses says there is basically nothing they can do. I insisted on my money back and was told they would call accounting and get back to me. I have never heard from them again. I can't dispute this with the bank because it is two transactions ran 3 minutes apart. Rouses was paid twice. Very disappointing experience and lack of care or compassion from employees.

There are a few choices for groceries in the local area. I always choose LeBlancs. Their food selection is great, but more than that, the staff is extremely friendly. Other stores cashiers and employees dont even acknowledge my presence. LeBlanc's hires local young people who know how to be nice to customers. The recent remodel has offered so much more selection. You can go in and pick up something already cooked, take it home and its so good.

Rouse Supermarket, Prairieville July 16th 2020.I purchase some fresh catfish at this store today for $6.99 a pound. This fish was not fresh, had a smell and did not cook up well at all. I was highly disappointed with my purchase. Does not earn any stars should be a minus.

Been going to Walmart for years move down here from up North went to Ross's market yesterday I never go back to Walmart to buy food!!! Everything I needed a good price and better quality. Very good honest people working there!
