I have been defending this pharmacy for a while when others say they had a bad experience, but for the past several months I have not had a single positive experience. The staff is rude and slow. They are probably understaffed, which is a company issue, but that does not make it okay. I just got off the phone after being on hold for 20 minutes because the app says they are out of stock of a medication I was told TWICE they had in stock. I asked them repeatedly before leaving my prescription with them because it has been an ongoing issue. No caveat of "we are probably in stock, but there may be other patients filling at the same time". Just a direct "yes, we have it" in a tone indicating they were annoyed I asked twice. I HATE leaving bad reviews but the issues are so consistent. The customer service at the pharmacy is absolutely dreadful. If you are able go literally anywhere else. I never thought there would come a day where WALMART was a better pharmacy that this garbage fire of an establishment.

Slooooooow, and they repeatedly give you prescriptions you are allergic to. Or don't tell you they don't have your prescription when you need it that day.ive had to go to Baton Rouge at midnight and beg another pharmacy give me one days worth for a sick child and another time for my wife that just surgery because they don't tell you they don't have it.

The pharmacy sets a new bar for incompetence. The staff couldn’t find their rear end with three hands. Prepare to wait and be frustrated. Absolutely terrible. Walgreens should tear this location down and start over.

Pharmacy staff doesn’t seem to want to be bothered. They seem to just want you to do everything online when it’s their job to answer any questions you may have. Hoping Walgreens bring back customer service ! I won’t be dropping off any more prescriptions here.

If I were super wealthy, I would tie Walgreens up in court for as long as possible. There had never been one time when I've gone to pick up prescriptions without some problem.I waited for 23 days to get a medication from the day it was called in by the Doctor. I decided to switch pharmacies and now I cannot get my needeD meds filled because Walgreens will not back the prescriptions out ....that created the problem that insurance believes the scripts were already filled.Do not use this place.

I was picking up my prescriptions and noticed I was being overcharged. I was in the middle of asking the clerk in the drive thru how much a prescription was and she put all the prescriptions in the box and shut the blinds and said it was lunchtime. I was trying to tell her it was the wrong price. She responded we open back up at 2. Once you are given a prescription it is yours, you cannot return it. I had to go around inside to catch the pharmacist. My insurance was not even used for this rx. I’ll be transferring all prescriptions elsewhere. Not for not running my insurance, but for the unprofessional attitude. Hope you remember you will be on the other side of the counter one day.

UNPROFESSIONAL, inconsiderate, incompetent, NEVER on time, will lie straight to your face, they could care less if u have a cold or are terminally ill with cancer and in desperate need of life saving medicine. They just don't care! Talking to pharmacist or manager just as bad don't waste your time! If you live in Port Allen area go to bordelons pharmacy where they actually care about what they do!

Had to take a star away after being hung up on. So from 2 to 1 star. Pretty sure this is the only negative review I have ever left.I don't normally leave poor reviews but the pharmacy here does not compare favorably with other pharmacies. Big disconnect from the automated services and the actual staff. For example, you get confirmation emails with times on them but this has consistently proven to be inaccurate. Long lines and bad signage for COVID testing results In frustrated customers, not me necessarily, but the people in line trying to get medication complaining to one another.It's bad as a customer looking at a line of cars knowing half of them are wasting their time because you can't get prescriptions in the drive thru, only COVID tests. It would seem this bothers me more then the management of this store because a couple of signs could probably solve a lot of this.

Use Steven's Pharmacy instead. They will get to know you, and as soon as you walk in the door, if possible, they are already reaching to bring your prescription to the counter! It makes a big difference when people actually CARE about their customers.All Walgreen's wants is your money. There can be a long line of people waiting to check out, and they will still NOT call one of the employees wandering around the store ignoring you, to come open a second register.

The staff of the store is usually very helpful, but the pharmacy is a different story. Have had a few unpleasant experience with a lady over the phone who was very rude, unhelpful and her demeanor was that of someone who did not like her job. "Please lady, do us all a favor and go somewhere else."... Bc you're giving Walgreens a bad name.

Have been waiting in the store for 2 hours (it's now 630pm). When I went to the counter the Pharmacist basically accused me of lying, that I hadn't been in the store since I dropped the prescriptions off. Then said, she had assumed I had left after he told me it was going to be an hour wait. I wasn't about to drive home and drive back, I want my prescriptions so I can go home and go to bed. At 650pm I was told, that one of the prescriptions the Dr called in at 4:00 before I even checked out of the clinic, isn't in stock so they need to call the Dr and ask what to substitute it for. Had the even looked at the prescription when I got here and dropped off the one paper prescription, maybe I'd be home now.

I always find the pharmacy workers nice and attentive to my needs. They are willing to help and find any information necessary to fill a prescription. The pharmacist, Ryan D., is extremely helpful, considerate, and willing to listen to concerns also. I plan on moving my prescriptions to my local Walgreens for future service.

My previous pharmacy experience at this particular Walgreens was far from a great one. The newest pharmacist Mary is extremely helpful. I had a compound prescription that would have costed me a fortune for a small dose. She called me and told me that I could get the OTC parts and she would send me home with instructions on how to make the compound myself saving me 70% of the cost. Her kindness and thoughtfulness are much appreciated as you don't see this often in big retail chains.

I use the Port Allen location and have only had a few problems with getting medicine filled over the years I've used them and would definitely recommend them to anyone

JMeca with a M is still employed at Walgreens! I decided to give her another chance against my better judgement. I was correct. Rolling her eyes because her line of customers, it’s 5 pm that’s normal dear, talking to herself I assume, ranting about how she could scream! Simply the look on her face let you know she does not want to help you, does not want to be at work at all! God forbid you may have a question, your in trouble and if your WHITE you can forget it.I guess JeMecia with a M is more important than my business so I’m done with Walgreens!

Absolutely fed up with this pharmacy. Even if I'm physically present, they have to fill other prescriptions first and the wait is usually over an hour. SO FRUSTRATED. This is probably my last time using them and I have been a customer here for many years, the problem has just been the past year. Absolutely unhappy.

This is the WORST pharmacy I have ever been to. The employees are incredibly unprofessional and rude. They do not care about helping customers. They seem angry that they have jobs, and they are totally unwilling to help in any way.

Hate hate hate this place. The store is ok. The pharmacy is horrible. Rude, make mistakes and today they told me I would have to wait an hour and a half. My husband desperately needed these pain pills. I asked if they could get it sooner and they said No!Don't use them!!!!!!!!Still hate them! A year has passed and they are still miserable. Close down and use the space for something useful!

I would give this place 0 stars, if possible. I have never spent any less than 40 minutes here trying to get a prescription. And that's after they've notified me that it's ready for pickup!! The people in the pharmacy are rude - they will look right at you and continue on with whatever they were doing instead of coming to help you. I agree with the review: HATE HATE HATE this place.

0 stars. I waited on hold for 20 minutes to finally speak to a person. I was put on hold again only to be disconnected when their phone started ringing. When I called back, the young lady said she got sidetracked. Do not use this Walgreens if you want your meds.

They would always try to charge you for your medication then say it is on back order when your insurance covers it.

I've tried using this pharmacy a while back and among the slow service from the pharmacy staff they always came back and had some negative reason why they could not or would not fill my prescription. It did not seem to matter whether I used my insurance or cash.

Would give a negative if I could. So someone is taking medicine and putting a different date for insurance then what it says on the bottle and then telling people it's on back order to cover it up.
