Rouses offers a variety of fresh, frozen, pre prepared food items and also high quality eats that are not found just anywhere. There’s an amazing deli, bakery and hot/cold food bars in house. Great service, easy in and out, beautiful presentation, ample free parking in a safe small town tops it all off!

I bought gumbo seafood and had 5 shrimp in a half of gallon don’t even put in the right container it’s all on my floor of my car leaking the 4 lbs of rice I had to pay extra for was had as a rock it was nasty I should’ve went don seafood and pay more had to wait 3 days for this gumbo had to go to the store to add shrimp I only two people ate of it and had one lil bowl left over I don’t think they way it because 4 lbs is a half of gallon in liquid

Usually a quick in and out. Cashiers could be friendler. They rarely tell you the total. They pretty much expect you to read the screen. Other than that it's a grocery store.Let's work on the freshness of the produce.Edit: I've been using the grocery delivery as well as the pick up. They do fairly well. And are in constant contact once the shopping begins. Recommend trying it out

A good local place if you need to quickly grab something. It’s not my dedicated weekly store, but the olive bar is great and their selection of cheeses is also good. I rarely wait in line here and the store is clean and well organized. I also like their seafood. I dock one star for their buffet options - especially the hot bar. It’s all very dry and doesn’t look fresh.

Absolutely Love this Grocery Market! Family-Owned for Generations, Serves Our Community Well. The Bakery has some of the Best Cakes that I've ever Tasted, and they are Decorated so Beautifully as Well as a Nice Florist💐 Dept. w/Several Varieties of Flowers & Live Plants Too😁 We like that it's not a Super Center. Rather it's Fresh Quality products, at a reasonable price. Sure you might find some items cheaper at other Franchised Grocery stores, however there's just something Special about Rouse's that you can only get after you Shop there. We Highly Recommend Shopping at Rouses!!!

Keto Pizza in the frozen isle called Real Good Food. The pepperoni one and the cheese are the most flavorful, but they also have veggie Supreme and Margherita pizza. Crust is truly Keto with almond flour and cauliflower, unlike other imposter pizzas named Caulipower that has tons of carbs. I can eat a whole pizza of Real Good Foods for only 8 grams of net carbs!!! This keeps me on track and in ketosis. Finally i don't have to make my own dough. What a time saver!

I love Rouses I have probably been every store they have including MS and AL but the one in Ponchatoula is terrible. I don’t if it is the size or the Management but it is terrible. I have given it numerous chances sense moving here 10 months ago. Want be back. I will try to use the ones on the way to places like Denham, Hammond or Covington. Or I will shop somewhere else.

Our cashier was Sherrie and she was so nice! She is always super pleasant and connects with every customer. If I had thought about it, I would have tried to hire her myself! Great customer service!

I like to do grocery order pick up, they have a lot of sales online that are not in the store and a lot of products listed that are not in the store. Every time I order here I have to still go grocery shopping at another store to get the things they didn't give me for example things like chicken and cheese are said to be none in the store. This is with choosing substitute everything. It's frustrating but it's a good store, definitely not something to depend on if you need to have all the food you picked. You will be disappointed! Hopefully they will fix that because it's a great service!

Went to Rouses and had a great experience. James in the seafood section was very helpful and he did a up sale on me. Got me to try some Boudin in my crayfish boil. Sharon at the cash register was very kind and professional. This is the experience you want but don't get when you go to the other stores. Rouses keep hiring great employees and watch your sales increase 👍🏾

This was my first time shopping at this store. It's in a nice location. The store was clean and organized. The staff was also very courteous and attentive. The only negative was that the store was out of tomatoes. I'm not sure if this was due to supply chain issues. It was definitely unusual for a grocery store to be out of tomatoes. Everything else was great.

I am VERY disappointed in the bakery section. I ordered a baseball field cake and paid 55 dollars for it. 55 dollars for it to be rushed and and very sloppy! You can clearly tell all the mistakes in this cake and I’m not even a professional. On top of this, I took a video of a roach crawling on the display by the box my cake was in! For anyone wondering why I still bought the cake, no one was there to talk to due to me picking up the cake late afternoon and I had no other choice since I needed the cake for the party!

Went today to get some already made food. Didn’t feel like cooking. Packed they already had was 4 days old. So went to the front waited a bit for them to help me. The. When she got there she told me there’s already packed food of what I wanted over on the other side. I said no I want this one, it’s fresher right? The already packed stuff saids it was packed on the 22nd and it’s the 26th. She said the stuff behind the glass was made at the same time. 😨idk but when I make something I usually don’t eat it after 4 days.

Honestly other than going here to get our needed items, the young man thats always out getting the baskets is the most warm hearted and welcoming person I've ever met. Such a kind person and that make me actually want to be there at that point. So I guess you can say this review is for him. Keep up the good work. Your positivity brings light to your store.

This store is so nice. It's a huge store. Has. Nice seafood depart and produce department. Lots of fresh meats to choose from. The newly done alcohol section is very big and nicely set up. There are lots of organic and vegan options.

I ordered a yellow cake with chocolate frosting for my daughter birthday and was given a completely different order. They made me a white almond cake with vanilla frosting instead. I had my mom pick it up so I didn't see the cake until after it was paid for. My daughter was so sad and she didn't want the cake. I will never ever order from this bakery again!!!! Because I made it clear what I wanted. But they made what they wanted to make.

Love Rouses. Great variety and lovely specialty foods. Love their sushi and cheese. They are slightly more expensive but if you plan your meals you won't pay that much more.

I have never had a bad experience at any Rouses. The hot bar always has nice surprises. The produce is always fresh. Wonderful meat selection. My only complaint maybe the fried chicken could use a little rework.

This is definitely my go to. And this is as honest as I can say it nicely bc of dedication to other stores. I get a very large amount with larger variety for lower from veggies to dessert and not stuck on what seems to be a boring diet and being able to enjoy better foods with a larger selection without it being Walmart.

Rouses is a decent grocery store, Items are always well organized and the place is clean.Doesn't get 5 stars from me because you really have to watch prices on a lot of items especially frozen things and the good meats.Produce could use some additional items..And usually when you're thinking that's crazy high for some honey buns lol they'll have another area you'll stumble on later with the cheap ones....Overall it's a pleasant shopping experience assuming you pay them a visit during hours when they're not super busy.

Nice, clean, and friendly staff . Well stocked with merchandise and found everything I needed. Today 3/17/22 they were out of cabbage, and no pecan eggs ( my all time favorite for Easter. 🤔☘💚 other than that, they're still friendly, clean and stocked well.

If I could give this place less than 1 star I would. The meat department is HORRIBLE and the lady that runs it is very rude. They never have anything in stock EVER. The rouses in hammond is WAY Better and actually have what they advertised in stock. My family will never shop here again!
