They are all so wonderful! I have had my two dogs boarded there for a few years now and recently adopted a Bernedoodle that needs constant grooming and they did a BEAUTIFUL job! 10/10 recommend checking it out!

September 11, 2022Since the righting of this review, I have adopted a female Labrahoula puppy.It has been many years since I have used their grooming services. They always groomed my precious Lucky, a Welsh Springer spaniel and they always did an absolute, superb job! They were great! He died in 2017, at the ripe old age of 18! Some months before he passed, I placed an ad there, for a large, female dog, that needed a fantastic home. I knew my Lucky was fading and I couldn't stand the thought of being without a companion and guardian as well. Eight months after doing so, I got a call one morning from them, saying, a lady just called about re-homing a female Rottweiler. Well, that wasn't exactly what I had in mind but thank God, I didn't turn her down!! Her name was Sabbath and she had wandered into a church in north Louisiana on a Sunday and the congregation named her Sabbath! She was the most wonderful dog that God ever breathed the breadth of life into!💜 She loved my kids and would have given her life to save ours! She had one eye and was about 2 years old, maybe 3 and had, had puppies once. That very first night, I had a prowler and with that typical Rottweiler bark/howl, she ran them off! She knew she was home! I wrote a story about her and entitled it ' The Holy Rottweiler '! She was my baby girl! Last year, after having eyelid surgery to remove two tumors, a month later, she contracted Addison's disease. That's a disease of the adrenal gland. Plus, she developed that Rottweiler hip disease and could no longer stand. She died 8 months later, of a massive coronary, she was 8 years old.I once again called Bark Avenue, to place another ad. They found my wonderful Sabbie and I truly hope, this wonderful place, can find me another baby girl! 😒💙

My Tyreon LOVES this place! The best staff ever. He is my service dog and I trust only this place to watch him. Its very hard to leave him there but I know he is loved and very well cared for. Thank you to all the staff! You are AMAZING!

I used to send my folks dog to groomed for many years and had to use their kennel a few times as well. After the pandemic they werable to het their dog's shots and was going to take some time. After my parents got the necessary shots, Bark Ave made it an issue even with shot records at hand just stopped grooming the dog and would give kinds of excuses...not about to beg anyone take my money...

We had issues getting into a groomer in NC but made one for as soon as we drove in to Alex for the holidays.. they took our grill in promptly and oh my when we got her back she was looking like a million bucks.. she had a winter coat was blowing it out for a warm weather coat. Sandy worked hard to get all that fur out and I'm almost sure she lost 5lb in hair! We will be coming back every year we come home.

My sister's little Lexi got groomed at this place. They did a phenomenal job. I was so impressed with how well she was groomed. ABSOLUTELY a great experience. Our family will use this groomer again. Good job.

I have sent all three of my dogs there separately and together. They have never came back with fleas. The place is very clean and you can pick from multiple room types for your pet to stay in (depending on your budget). I think that is great. I choose the 30$ a night room for my dogs because it’s big enough for all three dogs to stay together. My dogs always come back happy. The employees play with each dog separately throughout the day and let them potty separately too. They only ask for food and toys because they supply beds, blankets, bowls, and whatever else is needed which is great so you don’t have to worry about bringing all of your dogs property. Great place in my books!

Love Bark Avenue! I have been bringing my Lhasa APSI to groom and board for over 3 years. She always loved coming here and you can tell the employees enjoy what they do. The owner is great.They also do a good job with boarding and grooming if big dogs. My 130 lbs English mastiff enjoys coming to see them all the time. Strongly recommend Bark Avenue !!!

Brought our newly adopted fur baby in and she was given a 5 star treatment. The ladies took time to explain their grooming and were super friendly. Our Mercy girl went from looking like a sad neglected dog to a pampered pooch! We will definitely be taking her back for more lovins!

This is such a warm and friendly place. You can tell that the groomers truly care about their furry clients! Donna did a spectacular job with our toy poodle! And she definitely has been gifted with the perfect touch when it comes to dogs! I will without a doubt be returning!

Won’t be bringing my dog back to this place. When picking up my pup the lady starts complaining about his behavior. We have a golden doodle dog, which if you know anything about them- they are mild tempered dogs. Not only did she complain, but she cut his nail way too short and he had blood all over my back seat from it. They didn’t offer to discount the price after I paid $85!!!!

We were so worried about leaving Tucker our Weimer somewhere, he has such bad separation anxiety and can really freak out and destroy anything and everything in his reach which is anything lol. He did great there though, the staff is great and we've brought him twice so far and now know he will do well there. Their prices are excellent too.

Everytime I've called for my dog, they've always gotten us in in a quick & timely manner! The service we receive is always friendly & helpful & given with a smile 😊 most importantly my fur baby loves going there which is definitely a deciding factor for me! With the good reviews Bark Avenue had, we were expecting better. We paid for the $30/night boarding, which was supposed to include a picture of our dog each day and an update of how he was doing. A picture wasn't sent until we asked for one, and it was of the wrong dog. When we checked out, we were given our dog's dog bed and it was soaking wet and smelled like urine. Needless to say, we will no longer be boarding our dog at Bark Avenue.

My Yorkie came in for a grooming appointment and came back infested with fleas. We're now battling fleas at home on all our dogs. She had a reservation on a Thursday, picked her up Thursday afternoon and dropped her off at the boarding facility at 7am Friday morning. They either A. Washed, dried, and cut her hair without noticing fleas and never told me or 2. she got fleas at their facility. Either way their negligence is frustrating weeks later as I prepare to bomb my house. Never again.

They are very kind people. The last time I picked up my dog (he had been boarded overnight) he immediately peed for a solid 3 minutes straight because he had not been let out in so long. I would use them again for daycare but not for an overnight stay.

Bark Avenue is a wonderful place for your Fur-Baby. My Fur-Baby "Diva" gets boarded at least a weekend every other month. I can honestly say that the Owner down to the Staff are exceptional. They make each visit seem like we are new clients. They make my family feel at ease leaving our Diva with them. And I have a 80 lb. Rottweiler, that they never are skeptical of taking in for boarding or a bath. Thanks Bark Avenue, you ease my separation anxiety. Lol

Unfortunately I have to rate this facility and its owner “very poorly.” I am not one to speak ill of businesses or their owners, but the service received here traumatized my dog and left her without a coat in the middle of winter. I took my dog in for a “trim” and clarified this both when making the appointment over the phone and in person when dropping my dog off. However, when I went to pick her up, what was once a long hair dog was now completely shaved. I asked the girl at the front desk, “What happened,” and was told to contact the owner via cell. Upon speaking with Carrie, I was not offered a refund or any discount but rather told to use a special shampoo to “make the hair grown back faster.” Apparently someone at the salon got my dog mixed up with someone else’s dog. So, they shaved my dog accidentally instead of someone else’s. The least that could have been done is a refund for the $50 could have been issued. Never again will my baby go here nor my business be repeated. Beware!
