I went to try to buy a ring from the jewelry department, and no one was available .So one of the employees told me to go to Customer service and wait in line to ask for someone. For one . I was already in a line that I had to leave, then get in another line . Then it took 30 minutes for someone to get there and that person didn't have the keys. So I just left .What ever happened to people working in these departments ? I WILL NOT GO BACK TO THIS WALMART!!!!Especially if no one can be found that's supposed working in a certain department.

I almost always give walmart 1 star. But, only because they have a liquor section they get the 3rd star. Yes I know all stores in the state have licenses. Also the had my favorite whiskey as well!

Yesterday was my first time going to their pick up line and I must say the people there were very polite and they were very fast. They seemed well organized and I was able to get the packages and get out of there very quickly. Hopefully the same people are there again today so I can get their name's so I can let their manager know how good of a job they're doing. But something tells me their boss probably already knows because they do a very good job there. See y'all again soon

This is for the bakery department. I am so impressed with the craftmanship and love that you can feel this cake was made with. Absolutely gorgeous. My daughter is head over hills and has enjoyed every bite of her cake. Thank you to the bakery department who put in the time and effort to make such a beautiful cake. Keep up the good work. I went to WalMart shopping today 4/30/24 - They have a ton of shorts on clearance. So I grabbed some. Well upon going to self check out (when a customer does not want an item they give it to whoever is standing there watching everyone check out) So we seen some clothes next to the Cashier standing there so I asked them if that was for someone. The cashier said yes,it’s for a customer. So I said okay. Well then comes an employee for WalMart dressed in her uniform TAKES ALL THE CLOTHES THAT THE CASHIER WAS WATCHING & she says to me “those are mine” “they have more in the back” I said yes ma’am I was looking for a different size. The cashier & the employee was RUDE and while I checked out they were like that was mine. I didn’t make a scene. I didn’t say nothing except “ok”. But I don’t think employees that are clocked in can hoard clothes for themselves. And the employee had a ton !!!

Delivery item always missing items and evening Walmart srore operator and online pickup and delivery never pick up the phone. If they do they will let phone ring 40-50 times and disconne t you. Very poor service in the evenings. This has happened 9 times and still the same. Cant reach anyone at Corporate Office to take complaint against store. Poor customer service at this store

Around 2pm on 1/3/2023 my boyfriend and I were shopping to prepare for our next work morning, we came across black rifle coffee companys' "Tactisquatch Roast" on sale for a little over 9 dollars so we naturally decided to go with that to save a few bucks. However, when we were checking out it did not ring up as such and we were instructed to go to customer service as the lady at self checkout could not help us; there we were rudely told it was not ringing up for 9 dollars and that we would not get it for 9 dollars as she contiously questioned whether we were being truthful or not. It is just coffee and its unbelievable that we had such a disturbance to our day such as this because the workers cannot keep up with their tags, somehow that is our fault and we deserve to be pestered about it as if it actually is. Will not be shopping here again.

The worst customer service ever. The woman in electronics didn't acknowledge me for several minutes. Had to follow her around the store, per direction of other reps in electronics, and she kept serving other customers while not acknowledging me even though she saw I needed help. I had to wait several minutes and ask several workers in electronics for assistance before someone finally helped me with opening the glass case so I could get some headphones. SMH.

The layout of this store is totally awful! On top of that they didn't even have ice cream cones on the same end of the store as ice cream. Try to get someone to help you know that's not going to work because there aren't any employees to ask for help. BTW boxes of items were in the isles to be put on shelves but nobody anywhere near them. I have to go to the clothing department to find out where three of my items in the grocery section were. If I could give zero Stars I would have.

Waited at the fabric cutting table for 15 minutes, pushed the buzzer 3 separate times while several Walmart associates passed me by. Very poor service and if I didn't absolutely need the vinyl for a big project I would have left without buying anything. I will not be back 🤬

I gave this Walmart 3 stars, because they only have 1 checkout that a real person, that works for Walmart operates. Everything else is self checkout and half of them does not work. The store is very crowded. The parking lot is full of buggies unattended to, so it's hard to park. The customer service sucks, I would rather talk to a machine. But it is Walmart and they do have everything you need. Thank you.

When employees go out there way to make a simple fix as difficult and time consuming as possible and take pleasure doing so. Its clear WalMart Supercenter on Cresswell is fine with this type of abuse experienced by those, in particular of anglo-saxon decent. Too many stores to subject myself to this environment ever again. (not exaggerated)

It's a Walmart. Turn of the century where I can go to one store to get everything. Every day, I deal with people who struggle to tie their shoes without getting angry, and then when I get off of work, I can go shopping at an establishment designed specifically for my convenience. Thank God for the little things. Imagine having to stop at 4 different places for normal and specialty items after a long day of work? No thanks. As far as I'm concerned, every walmart (not neighborhood walmarts obviously) deserves a medal.

I live minutes away from the Opelousas Walmart on Creswell, so I'm there practically every day; some days more than once. I do all my shopping here. I spend thousands of dollars here annually.I've had enough of needing to purchase products that require an associate to retrieve them for you, and the associate is nowhere to be found. It's bad enough you need look around for one, when you are unsuccessful; you ask a cashier or customer service to page someone and they act as if you are bothering them or you just need to wait in the area until someone shows up. Who has time for that? Why must paying customers endure this?I've left the store on more than one occasion over the years to go make my purchase somewhere else. This week was the last straw when I was trying to make several purchases in cosmetics. I walked around looking for an associate, ran across one walking by and she offered to call someone, after a few minutes of waiting I walked over to the Pharmacy to ask for assistance and was told that customers were asking them to call for help all day because no one has been in cosmetics all day. What? Surely the manager is aware. Completely unacceptable.Get this... the three items I was going to purchase were all less than $7. Once, it took me over 10 minutes to get someone to help me get a pair of teasers that were less than $3. Walmart, what the heck are you doing? I realize theft is a problem, but you simply need to find another way. In the long run, you're losing more money because you have completely lost my business. I'm done! I'm fed up and I'll take my money elsewhere.The fact that you lock up low dollar value items and do not ensure employees are staffed in these areas like you do in electronics tells me that you could care less about losing sales in these areas. You've totally lost me as a customer.I will not be shopping here again!

Rude employees , had to self checkout with employee watching like I was stealing ! Can never find someone to open locked cases like femine supplies, perfume , alcohol etc. The employees shopping for curbside run into you not paying attention because on cellphone .

If i had my way they wouldn't even get one ⭐ much I have really had very bad experiences on 4 different occasions with this particular Walmart.. with a cashier the first time being very rube to my 16 year old daughter... Who not even said one word to her then with electronics while trying to return a item even with a receipt was treated as if I had stolen it when that particular item was lucked behind glass when it was purchase before even being return. Then with the deli department and then today with the automotive which both who took other customers that walk up 5 min to 10 min after me waiting one them to get done with who I was with helped them with out ever once asking if I needed help first just help other customers instead it really sad that these ppl all need to be retrained on proper etiquette...

Store #0543. I went to Automotive Service Department and it was a horrible experience. The service tech who was at the podium at around 5 p.m. on 04/14/2023 was very unprofessional and seemed like he didn't want to be bothered with assisting me. He gave me some vague information and sent me inside. I had to wait close to 30 minutes before a management associate showed up to help me. In the meantime, that same service tech passed by me and made a sarcastic remark about me waiting. At least the management associate (Mike) was helpful and was able to get my issue resolved.

The vehicle service department always does a good job, I’ve seen others not have the same experience but personally I’ve always experienced great service when brining any of my vehicles, 30-45 minutes in and out which is fast compared to most Walmarts.This is a older location so it could use a full update like some of the Walmarts in Baton Rouge have experienced recently but it was one of the first locations in Louisiana to fully implement self checkout. 90% of the time at least one of the self checkouts are down, and your almost guaranteed to have a problem if your using cash on the self checkouts. With that being said it’s still better than most out there, it’s Walmart after all…The electronics department is much better setup than nearby locations in my opinion with a larger supply than most, but I’ve seen plenty of people have trouble getting a video game out of the box/ vault their stored in.Side not on this review: Anyone out there miss the good ole days when we didn’t have to get frisked to buy a stick of deodorant or toothpaste? Anyone miss the days when you were not stalked from isle to isle while having to reenact a scene straight out of Indiana Jones to find the product your looking for and somehow convince the store that you don’t in fact plan on stealing it you just want to purchase it and give them some business. I guess we are all somewhat to blame though, if people didn’t steal there wouldn’t be the need for such a high level of security. This is not specific to the Opelousas location, they have all stepped up their game security wise which is a good and bad thing simultaneously.While I like the added assurance that security is there to deal with someone if they decide to have a melt down inside the store, its highly annoying hearing “thank you for shopping at Walmart, if any assistance is needed etc. etc.” every single time you go to get almost any item off the shelf, so in the rare event but ever more increasing likelihood that someone does in fact have a meltdown while visiting Walmart I can almost empathize with them on their behalf, because who wouldn’t become annoyed after experiencing that kind of psychological warfare played out on a second by second basis whenever most of us are just going in there to get some Cheetos, toothpaste and perhaps some earplugs. Sorry for the detour there, I’ll jump back to the actual review.The outdoor section of Opelousas Walmart is similar to the electronics section stock wise, during Christmas they normally have one of the larger selections of Christmas lighting, Breaux bridge stays neck and neck with Christmas lights.So with all that said, besides the huge detour on security, this is a pretty good location beside the occasional hurdle of keeping the shelves stocked in the right place with the right product and in spite of it not being updated in quite a while it’s still a pretty good Walmart.Good luck out there while shopping folks and just remember to breathe deeply every time you hear that annoying pre-recorded voice thanking you for shopping at whatever Walmart you decided to shop at reminding you that they don’t trust their customers/ you in the slightest. The only assistance you’ll ever truly need is to remind yourself to remain calm in that very moment, Happy Shopping out there!
