This place is HUGE! It is very clean and organized and the prices are reasonable. We got our daughter a set of tea cups with saucers and a kettle for under $30. Can't wait to give it to her birthday. I look forward to getting eggs from them and REALLY enjoyed the soaps/candles/lotions displayed in the front! We will be back with our kids to browse and see the other half of the store we didn't get to see before. Staff was SUPER friendly and accommodating.

Great place! Yes you have to put your purse or backpack in a locker, but you keep the keys on a bracelet while you shop. This keeps prices down I’m sure since it reduces shoplifting. The booths are clean and not overcrowded and we found some fun finds for each member of the family. We came outside and found our car in the middle of a fun car show. Met some friendly people at the show too so I popped the hood up of my Subaru and we had a great time.

I was racially profile at this location. I was told to put my purse in one of their lockers. I did. I later seen a white woman with a backpack on and another white woman with a small purse in the store. I was very upset. That was my first time going to that store and my last!Most owners would do something about their employees and teach them good customers service. Lady you are not worth my time and effort to waste. Yes, I was racially discriminated. One thing for sure businesses like yours will not last long until you change alone with your attitude.

Please listen to the other 1 star reviews, the vibes in here were extremely uncomfortable.When we got in a woman followed us and told us to put my mom's tiny belt bag in a locker because "We have a lot of breakables", we all know what the real reason was.The AC only worked in a couple areas, the rest of the store was really stuffy.An elderly woman had dropped her purse locker key and if we didn't pick it up for her she would've had her purse locked away from her.On top of that, a 4% card fee on $35?!?The vendors were great and there was interesting stuff, but the management was downright awful, I would not be surprised if they profile certain people.

Do not go to this location. They racially profiled my mother and when I called to complain she hung up on me and was very ugly . Save your money and never go here !They ask only certain people to put their backpacks in lockers and that is unfair !Racist location and just pure nasty !Do not go!

My favorite antique store of all time! I love visiting the spotted cat whenever I’m in Opelousas. You can definitely spend an hour or two perusing the many stalls. Each stall is so unique. It’s like walking through history. The staff are very kind and everything seems well organized. I look forward to shopping at the spotted cat next time I’m in town.

This place is absolutely wonderful. It's like taking a step back in time. So much space and so many things you can't see it all in one trip.The owners and staff are so friendly and helpful.The items in this place are amazing and decently priced.I would recommend this place to anyone.

If you like antiquing this is the place to be. The place is absolutely amazing. It has such a tremendous amount of space and wall to wall booths filled with vintage and antique items that remind you of your past. The people are friendly and the staff is very knowledgeable and helpful.The Owners Lisa and Ron Ortega are always willing to listen to your suggestions or concerns.This is my place to be.

Nice flea market. Lots of different booths with lots of different stuff. Air conditioned and nice restrooms. I've gotten some really great stuff here. Don't forget to check out the back room that contains some old doors and architectural pieces.

My daughter and I were out of town shoppers at the spotted cat in early February. We started off in Sunset for a girls trip and had an absolutely great day! Sunset is such a great little artsy town now! I highly recommend it! the spotted cat was recommended to us buy another shopper at the checkout out at a place in sunset. We drove to Opelousas and were absolutely not disappointed. the place is just huge!I found several treasures and I'm planning to go back and pick up a few that I wish I had picked up then! I purchased a breadbox that somehow did not make it into my shopping bag and they mailed it to me a week later. I felt so bad because the shipping was more than the actual cost of the Box itself. The store owners absolutely made things right and we're just awesome about it!Shoppers are not allowed to bring bags in, purses included, but it is is just not that big a deal. Lock your stuff in the trunk of your car or leave it in your SUV covered up. In my opinion, if they can reduce the cost of their Booth space and basically the cost of the items for sale by not having security cameras more power to them. My daughter is a type 1 diabetic and she had absolutely no issue with locking up her insulin in one of the lockers. We locked our purses in the car and all was fine. Actually not having my purse allowed me to hands to shop with.They even have this great little concession stand to grab a snack for the drive home. It's awesome! I highly recommend the Rice Krispie peanut butter things!

Very nice. Reminded me of back home in kentucky when I would go to flea markets. Multiple booths and unique one of a kind things. I really enjoyed the music stand there, they had soooo many instruments. There's soooo many positive points about this shop and I couldn't name them all. Just check it out and see for yourself

Beware ladies, no purse allowed in the store. The only Antique shop that I have ever been in that woman feel insulted and insecure because she cant carry a purse into. A slap in the face. Cameras every where and they think you are going to fill that purse with stolen items. They also pretend to be looking around but are watching and following you. They will offer you a locker in which you must put your purse in but beware, they have access to this locker while you shop. Better check your purse out for stolen items before leaving the store. My wife wrote a review on facebook about this place and they have been harassing her ever since. This businesses just needs to admit that it might have issues within its own to workout. 😢 Go somewhere else so you can relax while shopping.

The no purse rule is so ridiculous. If they don't trust you, you shouldn't trust them either. I use to go to the Spotted Cat Antiques biweekly while visiting Opelousas. In fact, I bought a pouch that only holds my phone and credit cards. I was stopped at the door and informed of the no purse policy, which I already knew hence the reason for the pouch. Yikes, not returning...

For an out of town visitor shopping at an antique mall, I was very appalled to hear a young male employee say right after we walked in to Spotted Cat Antiques "I will follow them around." I didn't quite catch on that he was talking about my friend and I until a lady employee stopped us and told me of their store policy that women cannot bring purses into their store but we can lock it up in their locker OR go put my purse back in the vehicle.I was so taken back that apparently they don't have store cameras or to automatically assume in today's world that you are guilty or may be guilty of shoplifting before innocent. Seriously.... These store owners or employees need to read the 4th amendment!Also, employees or owners...WHO are YOU to think I would surrender my purse to your lockers and you are the only ones with the key? Double standard here.... I don't know YOU either but I am supposed to trust you? How do we know you won't take my belongings? Think about this! Think....do you know how insulting this is to a middle aged couple with clean records...no criminal record of ANY kind.......christians...who have been asked to leave a purse in a locker before entering your business? Do not assume your store is that great!!! One last thing....did you realize my health requires me to carry meds with me at all times.... those meds stay in my purse! No....sure you didnt think before you insulted me! My friend even asked about me carrying my phone with me and you hesitated as if we couldnt even do that! Insult after another! I have never posted a negative review about any one or any business....but today.... your business deserved my time ...to post to everyone.... BEWARE of this place if you don't want to be insulted.

I have a friend with several booths there and had never been so I went to check it out.I am also looking for two specific pieces for my collection... an older lady and her granddaughter literally followed me around the whole store. It was so obvious and obnoxious! I will not be back!

Got something here and it turned out to be a fake / replica... It was painted over to make it look older and like a different type of metal...If I go into an antique shop I am looking for legit items not items that look like something they are not or repurposed items...I can get fake antique looking items from a department store for way less...
