With their Pork Steaks on sell, I ordered 100 steaks to BBQ for a fund raiser. While talking to someone in the meat market, I asked how thick do you all cut them. He answered me with 3/4”. I said great because I wanted each steak to weight 3/4 to 1 lb a piece. The Meat Market’s tape measure must be screwed up or they do not know how to read a measuring tape. My steaks were probably a 1/4”. I embarrassed my self by serving this product at the fund raiser. Thanks Buddy for ruining my weekend.

I live an hour away but will definitely come here to shop from time to time. The store is clean, well stocked with interesting items, the produce is as fresh as I’ve ever seen, and the meat is fantastic.

Good little country store a little pricey with certain things but, that to be expected. Also has some items that you wouldn't find anywhere else. Only giving 3 star cashier through my cookies around and had a overall bad attitude. Not dropping name because everyone needs their job right now and that person my not be that way all the time

I love Buddy's!! Their meat sales are awesome!! And the in store discount card is very useful!. All the associates are wonderful! Except for one older, rounder, woman with short pixie cut blonde hair. Was very rude to her bag boy. She spoke to him as if he was a infant, she then spoke to me as if I was a unintelligent child. Upset me greatly. She threw my root beer on the bottom of my cart causing one to rupture and spew drink everywhere. I assume she had a bad day but do not take it out on your staff and especially your customers.

Just like there ads said Hometown proud. Mr.Christian was a business man who love his hometown and customer. He knew everyone by there first name and gave most young men and women there first job who some still work there today. He was also a family man who pass on everything he built and learn to his 2 son. So I recommend anyone in surround area of Oakdale La.if you never experience Buddy's IGA then you need to take a ride and you see why they are Hometown Proud. The price are reasonable with clean shopping area and beautiful select of fresh produce and fresh butcher shop with butcher still cut and prepare meat right there why u shop. So take a ride and enjoy what other long time customer have been doing since Buddy's Christian became along time business man who always put his town and customer first and still today he be Hometown Proud of his family and store family.

We just moved to this area and I thought I would just keep shopping Alexandria because that is what I'm accustomed to. BIG MISTAKE!!! I thought I'd just try our Buddy's IGA this morning and it's the best!!! Clean store, well stocked, good prices and did I mention that they have the friendliest young men that bring your groceries to your car for you. I felt bad because I didn't have cash for a tip... he said "Oh no ma'mm... no worries. We get paid well and tips... well those are just bonuses!" A friendly breath of fresh air. Thank you Buddies... I WILL BE BACK!!!

This is the 2nd day in a row that I have driven over 30 minutes in an attempt to buy 4 packs of bacon from their store. Do not waste your time going here, if I could give negative stars I would. I have been busy all day and when I finally have time to make the long drive out of my town for a specific bacon this is a common issue. This week they were closed and locked before 8:50pm even though the sign clearly says 9pm. Then make it at 8:45pm and same thing. We told them we only need 4 boxes of a certain bacon (all we get 1 time a month) and they refused to sell it to us during scheduled store hours. I will now find someone else who carries my bacon and get it there. They have lost our families' business for good. I do usually end up with a buggy full when I'm able to make it super early. Since the pandemic and the storm that has changed.

If you need a cake for any occasion go see Sarah in the bakery!! She did wonderful!! Best cake ever & sooo cute!! Exactly what I wanted for my shower & I highly recommend the whip cream icing 💙

Ok, so I shop here when I do go to oakdale, LA. I like and dislike it for the following reasons. Like because, it's easy to locate most things, food are fresh, minus some meats and potato salad things etc, some things expired, and you have to check dates regardless, but overall customer service is great, they pack your groceries, then literally helps you to your vehicle. That's true customer service. What I don't like about it, was the blatant disregard for covid protocols...... they don't wear masks and that alone scares me....but I still like the store
