I'm so grateful for Wal Mart! They have everything you'll need in order to make your visit to New Orleans complete. The store was clean. The associates were helpful , kind and a joy to interact with. Everything I needed was in stock. I had an excellent overall experience. This store is highly recommended. From Canal st in New Orleans Louisiana take the #91 bus on Elk place or walk down to the Public library. The 91 will drop you off and pick you up right at Wal Mart!

Unbelievable lines to check out. I started shopping at 5:45. I only had 4 items to pickup. I left the store at 7:15pm empty handed. I didn’t buy anything because couldn’t get checked out in a timely manner.Right before I left I decided to take a picture of the line of people still left in front of me. Hopefully this review helps someone not to have the same experience that I did.

Walmart has plenty handicap parking. Store was clean. Loved that a person can buy hard liquor. I was able to get a nice king cake. I purchased many Cajun things to cook with

The worst Walmart imaginable. Since self checkout closed l no longer shop there. Unless you have time to waste in long and painfully slow lines, and enjoy hearing loud ghetto trash talk in surround sound then lsuggest you give it a miss. The staff have no desire to be of help, and clearly have no meetings on customer service. The police presence was somewhat comforting at the exits due to the apparent element of danger……

It’s aight. Just don’t expect common courtesy from (some) employees. Oh and no shopping carts that actually work. Also, don’t park crooked, security thinks there super troopers.

This location is convenient for me and customer service is usually fine. The electronics department staff really mess things up though. From blasting vulgar music in front of customers and telling me to grab my own receipt to not answering questions and just staring blankly, the attitudes on this side of the store are just horrible.

My son and I went in to retrieve a TV that was being replaced. It was not overcrowded. We were being shuffled between registers. And one of the cashiers had a snippy attitude.That does not change. She wouldn't listen to the team leader when the team leader said register 5 or register 8 is open.It was a little after 10: 00.pmWe understood that. Because we waited because a customer where we were was having trouble with her card.My son and I and a few other customers kept our composure because we did not want to wind up on social media for cutting up in Walmart..😉🤣 my son and I are not those type of people.We are walk away people and praying people..But all in all . The store was very cleanShells were being stocked.And the television we picked up worked perfectly with no problem.It's just it's just a lot of the associates need to be retrained.Because even in the middle of the day when a customer needs something they are nowhere to be found or they'll look at you and say oh it's over there. And walk away from you no type of customer service at all. Some of the things that these young people are doing now I would have been fired for..!I worked in the service industry for 25 years.. and I know what customer service is. And I know how it is to deal with people with different things on their mind or attitudes. Sometimes no matter what you do there are never satisfied.The next solution is to get someone that's in charge and let them handle the situation.

Super ghetto. The service at the deli is terrible. They act like they don't want to help you, like you're a burden. Forget getting a smile or a friendly face. Self checkouts are permanently closed for loss prevention purposes. Many other issues. I've decided to pay more and go to Rouses. At least I feel safe.

Walk all the way from convention center, more than a mile maybe. This walmart is the worst I've ever visit. Went to look for a nail clipper, there was none. Waste of walking. I saw chickens roaming the parkong lot, like a 3rd world.

Thieves overcharged and double/ triple charged an item multiple times. None of the workers were friendly or helpfully....worst shopping experience ever...management needs to be overhauled and ALL employees need to be trained, retilrained or fired.

Overall this is a good location not the best neighborhood but it worked. Plenty of parking and it's easily seen from the road and is accessible friendly. Just a friendly parking and store and bathrooms. Bathrooms were kept decently clean and store was kept well stocked.

This Walmart is bigger than a lot I've seen. They had everything we needed and the line didn't take days to get through at check out. I was impressed w finding some snacks I had never seen before in the grocery section as well. We grabbed a bag of maple bacon flavored popcorn n it turned out to be amazing.

I would be giving zero stars if I could. I am extremely upset that they are getting rid of the self checkouts. It’s causing extremely long lines and my store visits are taking way longer than they should because of it. It’s ridiculous. Things were just fine the way they were and I really wish it didn’t change for the worse. I’ve also had many unpleasant experiences with the Walmart delivery service from this location. I will be doing my shopping at the Rouses Market down the street from now on.

Pretty average Walmart. They have a great Woodforest Bank ATM that does 1s, 5s, 10s, 20s, 50s and 100s although there is a $2.99 fee for non members. Self checkout is a toss up whether or not it’s available for some strange reason. I have no complaints.

This location was clean and it felt safe. A police station shares the parking lot. Very convenient and a 5 minute Uber ride from the convention center.

Very much so more than a reasonable thinking person amount of employees combined with pedestrian & vehicular traffic abundantly was the first thing that had started to signal a problem. Then the staff was overwhelmingly ready to go to the limits to be as unprofessional as possible. They act as if we've not all been living together for decades etc...immature, childishly, uncoordinated

Self checkouts. I was told the self checkouts were being closed. Walmart isn't the only retailer. But who ever came up with the policies for them,...... I will just say it they were stupid! Self checkouts should have been for 10 items or less, not two full baskets! What did you think was going to happen, people were going to steal. Now you could reopen them and put the right policies in place or lose the people who don't buy a large amount at a time. Sales are going down either way, because the ones who steal, won't get so much, but the ones who used the self check, because they only had a few items, you will lose those customers. For me, I will never comeback to Walmart, until this is changed.

They have shut down the self checkout area and are not adequately supporting it in the manned checkout area. I waited 28 minutes in the 15 items or less isle. Ridiculous. This was already run like a 3rd world country. I really didn’t think it could get any worse, but it did.

Ratchet emporium... if you want to see bonnets, pajamas, homeless shoppers, chicken bones in the aisles, and a store with no baskets inside after 12pm, this is the store for you! I go to this location bc I live less than 5 minutes away, but I lose precious brain cells every time I visit. Being a lifelong citizen of NOLA, I'm used to the ratchet shenanigans that this walmart has to offer, but if you're a visitor, be forewarned..... this is another type of store experience.The positive thing is that the greeters are usually great, and some of the individual workers are helpful (pharmacy and electronics). The cons are that you're going to encounter ghetto fabulous, rude, entitled deviants inside, while dealing with ridiculous marked up prices on many items. I go about 3 times a week and see the mark ups, so trust me on that (6 pack bottled cokes $2.75 one day, $5.98 the next). Enjoy your visit! 😂

If I could give 0 stars I would. If you’re going to shut down all of the self checkouts then make sure you have enough staff to work the registers. I came at 2pm on a Monday and after waiting in line to checkout for 20 minutes, I abandoned my cart and left. What a joke.

I walked 2 miles there because I had a gift card and needed ciggeretts. Got there and noticed there was not any ciggerett on display. the manager told me they quit selling them . Also can not buy cigarettes with gift card even if they had them . I quit shopping at Walmart years ago after a Walmart was built in a small town I lived in and all small businesses died . They are a cancer of capitalism that we should have stopped a long time ago

You know how Dante wrote about the 9 circles of hell in Inferno? Well, he apparently never visited this Walmart. I'm not even sure if traitors deserve to spend an hour here. There is a 50% chance that the checkout lines will be 289 people long; a 75% chance that the clientele will either be yelling at each other or at an employee; a 90% that your parking spot will have a buggie left in it; and a 100% that the people working there will roll their eyes at you if you so much as look at them (don't even think about asking a question or for help. You will either get openly laughed at or yelled at depending on God knows what).I love Walmart. I'm from Arkansas. But journeying through this place makes Dante's journey through hell look like a walk through City Park on a warm April afternoon.P.s. Don't believe the 3.9 rating and 5-star reviews. Ask any person you know who has been there what they would rate it.P.p.s. The guineas that live in the parking lot are cool, though.

I don't really care for this Walmart but it's the one closest to me. I have waited for over 45 minutes for help with something on more than one shopping trip here. I have left without getting what I came for cause I couldn't get help to open the cabinet to get it. I normally get in and out quick when grocery shopping cause of self checkout. Everyone's friendly for the most part but sometimes you may have a problem getting help in a department if you need a cabinet unlocked.

Poorly stocked. Poor service. Rude customer service. Nasty location. Dirty over sized location overcrowded with people and long lines at checkout. OSCHA violations with items placed and stacked high over 20 feet in the aisle between merchandise and groceries. Didn't have most of the items I was needing. Sam Walton would've been ashamed of this location.

Store is always depleted of inventory on some of your most essential items,,Walmart is suffering from the disaster of putting self checkout in thinking it would save money only to cost them more with the uptick in theft per quarter,,,now they can't find employees to man the registers because they'll have to either pay more start a union,,,its going to suck for us consumers for a while...and the lines are 30-40 min long go figure
