What an adorable pet shop in the middle of the French Quarter! The workers warmly greet everyone who enters and especially the their furry guests! The supplies are well organized and assorted. They offer a wonderful variety of toys, clothes, accessories, basics, and TREATS! So many homemade options but their barkery bar is a must to spoil your pup!

Update it’s a couple years later. New review Still coming here - and they treat my doggy with so much love and welcomed energy. They always remember my face for their rewards program and I visit weekly - no complaints. Thank you Christina and Phelicia for being amazing!!!!It’s soooo cute. They have the BEST. From toys, to treats, to collars. They have welcomed my dog with a treat each time. Prices are amazing.Literally my go to now.I’m set!!!!!

Every time I travel I HAVE to get something for the little Miss back home. Southern paws is a great location on the French Quarter right by the art district. They have so much to choose from for you pets and some fun things for yourself.Staff was so incredibly kind and helpful. Esme is deep barrel chested and very large. The staff were wonderful helping to figure out something that would fit her comfortably and even shared tips for diy alterations, just in case. Fortunately it fits perfect!They also had Bocce’s treats, which are the only treat she can have that doesn’t upset her tummy. AND Fluff n’ Tuff toys! If your dog can rip a toy to shreds in seconds like mine can, these are amazing. Super durable and very cute, I ended up getting 2 cause I’ve never been able to find them in a store before. Any dog lover MUST stop in!!

Adorable shop with reasonable prices on unique items for your pets. They carry items for dogs and cats, mainly clothing, treats and toys. I really appreciated the selection of New Orleans themed toys and as a pet supply store owner myself, seeing that there were items I couldn’t even order wholesale myself. The employee working was helpful, but not overly so, so we felt like we could shop in peace without someone over our shoulder. I will definitely recommend this place to my clients and be back in the future!

If you’re in New Orleans I 100/10 highly recommend Southern Paws. Loved it so much. The store was so well put together. Everything is adorable. The owner is a sweetheart and the prices are great. I will definitely go back next time I’m in New Orleans and Gambit looks so cute in his gear I’ll have to order online until then.

Awesome place for your beloved pets. I come and buy gifts for my cats every time I visit New Orleans. Definitely worth it. I have purchased many items in the store for dogs and cats. I just hope they will have more items for cats in the future.

They had a toy that my cat actually likes!!!!! If that doesn't sell this place then you don't know cats very well... I had the cat toy packed in my suitcase that I was starting to unpack when I got home around 230am, and at one point I couldn't find my cat anywhere - it turns out she found the toy and was in my suitcase playing with it, which turned into some late night/early morning crazy runs from her. I'm so happy she loved her souvenir!!!! I really liked this shop and the staff interacted with a local customer as if they've been friends for ages which speaks volumes about this place and instantly gave me a "neighborhood staple" type of vibe, and I hope I'm right about that because every neighborhood should have a pet shop like this!

While walking the streets in the French quarter, we came across a Barkery.This shop is dedicated to serving man’s best friend.They have leashes, collars, harnesses, toys and more, Including fresh dog treats like donuts, cannolis, cupcakes, cookies, all made for the pets.This place is super cool and we found out that ship so will be ordering something for our dogs when we get home.

Piper loves her new toys. The staff was super friendly and extremely accommodating and always ready with treats. There is a fresh bowl of water outside for doggies passing by. We drove a half hour just to visit Southern Paws. We love this place and will be back soon.

A terrific pet store, wit so many options. You can find home baked treats, specialized treats, leashes, clothing for all pets. Theres also loads of gift ideas for the holidays. They were very helpful with my thorough list for Xmas. A bit pricey but arent all pet stores with fancy cookies and bougie coats?

Very nice pet store and pet bakery located in the heart of the French Quarter. They have many different toys and accessories for your pets, especially dogs, and for you as well. We bought our puppy a collar and leash a few months ago and we love it. It’s held up great through a lot of wear and tear from our puppy, still in great condition. Highly recommend!

I ordered a few items online for my daughter's fur baby's birthday. They have so many cute and unique items for your pet(s). I had never seen wine (mock) for animals! I thought it was such a cute idea for celebrating. They also have toys with designer names like "Chewy Vuiton".I don't live in Louisiana, so I called and spoke with Sam and Nate and explained that I was going to have a friend pick up my order and deliver it to my daughter's home. I asked if they could make the packaging look a bit festive since it was purchased for Pop Tart's birthday and they were very accommodating. They did a great job adding colored tissue paper, a fancy bow to the bag, and a handwritten note with my sentiment. I really appreciated their help making my gift feel so special. Southern Paws will definitely be my go-to dog bakery. Thank you guys!

Let me tell you about this little place. When I travel, I always look for a pet boutique to bring back treats and small trinkets for my great Dane. Because she's a diva and soooo picky, I'm usually hesitant to get a lot of stuff. I brought back peanut butter paw shaped treat after speaking to the worker there, which by the way was super helpful and nice, SHE LOVED IT SO MUCH that she jacked her Rottweiler buddy's treat. I regretted not getting more. So after returning to NOLA for the second time, I picked up a bunch. She appreciated the delicious treats you have and can't wait for the online store to open.

I absolutely positively ADORE this pet shop. They have my dogs favorite bones ( Woof Wraps, buy some you won't be sorry ) among many other fabulous finds. I look forward to visiting this shop every time I'm in New Orleans. This fun costume was bought there for a super good price.

My wife and I decided go to this cat and dog supplies store in Outlet at Riverwalk we have be to the original one in the French quarter. They really nice items for cats and dogs including a dog bakery for dogs including donuts for dogs.

Cozy little place in the French quarter with lots of adorable items whether you're looking for dogs or cats. My wife and daughter had a field day in there buying stuff for our puppy. However, and despite the intimacy of the tiny shop, neither of the employees (a bald man and a woman) greeted us when we walked in, or asked if we needed help during the entirety of our visit. It was only when placed the items on the counter to buy them that I realized we weren't invisible!

Really cool place. They had a good variety of dog toys, and I found a couple that my dog hasn't figured out how to destroy yet.A lot of fun treats as well. Very unique and slightly funny. I do wish they had more cat items, but I suppose that dogs make more money for them.

This place was super great! I called ahead to make sure our pet was welcome and they assured me she was welcome inside or outside. When we got here, they gave her bacon and brought her a bowl of ice water and loved on her and she enjoyed every minute of it! Not only that, but the food was great! Catfish was the best I’ve had! The service was super great! Highly recommended🐶🐾 💗💗💗
