My family & I have shopped at Rouses since you took over the store on Belle Chasse Highway from Albertsons (I believe that it was an Albertsons) and I have never been treated as horribly as I was by the woman at the customer service desk Wednesday, 31JAN24, at the Algiers Store.I was in line to ask for a rain check for the ‘On Sale’ Rouses brand high pulp orange juice. When I got to the front of the line the woman was ugly from the get-go. Her facial expression & tone of voice was one of disdain. All I could think of was, “What had I done?” When I asked for a rain check I told her that there was one container of No Pulp but there was no High Pulp. She said that I would have to buy the No Pulp. I told her that I did not want the No Pulp, that I wanted the High Pulp. Her level of contempt was increasing as I did not instantly just submit to her will and buy what I did not want.She called someone to check on what was available. This took several minutes so I asked to pay for the other items I had already picked up so the line could flow until the young man could check what was in the back. He said something to the effect that there was No Pulp but he was not sure about anything else. Looking down her nose at me and with a haughty tone of voice she again said that I would just have to take what was available.Another customer walked up to the customer service area to complain about one of the cashiers that had overcharged her for an item and told the CS woman that she was just going to take another of the items to make up for the overcharge. The CS woman let her cut the line to rectify her issue. I did not believe letting her cut the line and just take another of the items was the right thing to do but I am not her boss.Eventually I got the Rouses High Pulp orange juice. Since I had already waited in line for the orange juice once I asked if she check me out again. She hatefully said it would not be fair to let me cut the line. (But it was okay to let the other woman cut the line!)When I got to the front of the line, again, I told her conduct & attitude was objectionable. She was totally incensed and started yelling. I told a supervisor and left.She knew what she was doing. When the manager came by she was all friendly until he left.This entire ordeal went on for many minutes and I am giving you the shortened version. She should not be in a position where she deals with the public. It will not be fair to your customers to be subjected to this conduct.

Got a slab of bbq ribs a few days ago. Were not fresh and over cooked. Got baked chicken today... looked like the smallest chicken they could find for $8. They used to at least be about the size of the container. Disappointed as Rouses is my favorite grocery.

Today I had a terrible experience at this location. Extremely poor customer service from the cashier. I have never experienced this here and was totally shocked. I was embarrassed!! The cashier Natasha was very rude and attempting to charge me the incorrect price for my items. When I notified her that the price was wrong she stated “oh well” that’s what it rings up , with a major attitude. Is this the type of people you have serving the customers of your community?? I purchased blueberries and blackberries which she rang up as apples as she said the items didn’t scan. Overcharged me for the blackberries as they were priced for 3.59 , okay I did not worry about that. After that she ranged up 1 papaya for 19.50. I said ma’am, there’s a sign that says they are on sale for 1.59 per pound and I made sure to weigh my item. Natasha basically just looked at me like you want it or not. Comes to find out she keyed the item for a different version of papaya that’s not even available for sale in the store! This cashier needs to be coached immediately!! Totally unacceptable. I don’t even want to come back ! (GENERAL DEGAULLE LOCATION)

This review is specific to the manager, Robert. I called and called to try and get someone on the phone to place a deli/catering order. Could not get anyone in any department to answer the phone. I called back and asked for the manager, Robert came on the phone, took my catering order, apologized and said he would find out what was going on in his deli. This store is always hit or miss and I'm a regular customer, but service like that does keep me coming back! Thank you Robert!

Deli workers act resentful if asked to slice meat. Last time I was there 2 workers were talking with the slicer while line was growing. Left the line in disgust.Cashiers are nicest on the westbank.

Great location. They offer a variety of specialty items. Higher priced than some of the other locations, but the selection and quality of the food makes it worth the trip. Good place to shop.

Went there today and went to the hot Deli most the food was dried out or overcooked they didn't even have tongs for the grilled chicken which was disappointing their mashed potatoes looked horrid still wound up getting two pieces of the Fried Chicken which even though it didn't look great tasted pretty good, the employees are fairly friendly though some of them do have attitude problems most of them are good people. Check out is quicker than it is at Walmart most the time, and when it's not the cashier's actually apologize for how slow it is so even though I'm only giving three stars which is because the quality of the food which I went there to get, it's a good location.

On today at about 6:30pm I visited the Gen deGaulle store and saw bbq ribs that were dry rub for $7.49. I went to customer service and the cashier stated that it was the wrong price. I explained to her that all the dry rub packages were priced at $7.49 and the other whole slabs with bbq sauce on them were $13.99. The cashier had taken the ribs I wished to purchase and had the label for $7.49 removed and replaced with a $13.99 label. The issue I have is it was not my fault that the price of the ribs was miss marked. I got the manager involved and we went back to check the rest of the ribs and another unknown customer told the manager that they just changed the prices on all the dry rub only ribs. I found this to very inconsiderate on the cashier’s part as she should have called the manager first instead of leaving the customer service counter to check for herself and change the price tag from what the ribs weee initially price. I have always shopped at Rouses but this has left a bad taste with me.,

I called the store on General DeGaulle to get some information about ordering a Cheese Tray, or if they were pre-made... I was transfer from one dept to the next about three times, just to be put on hold for about 8 mins... and to have someone just hang-up on me at the end... without even saying Hello...Wonder if they got any Customer Service training at all..

Nice to be able to get everything you need for your Christmas Party at one store... I even found my 12 pack Coca Cola Sugar Free at $2.97! Great wine values, especially if you have time to look for a few hidden gems. Rouses really does try their best to keep the customer satisfied.

Not generally a fan anymore of Rouses. But I will say the lady in the booze section at the Gen DeGaulle store was absolutely lovely! She helped me out w/ a local whisky request for a bday present, and was great fun once she understood the request. Sorry I didn't catch her name, but she's a credit to the store!

Food & drink are at no shortage in this grocery store. You're greeted by the drink at the entrance (adult drinks). Some noted select picks for this location would be fresh veggies and prepared meals. The staff is friendly and helpful for the most part. The pricing doesn't beat Wal-Mart, but the service does any day. In short, you get what you pay for and Rouses service at this location is worth difference.

I went in at 7:05 in the morning. I went to the deli to get turkey.There was a person doing paperwork. I stood and waited 15 min before she said someone will be with you.There were staff nearby opening hot bar.A person finally came over to wait on me. I ordered my turkey got it and was out.Only took 25 min. I think the person that ignored me was a mgr for deli.What service.I wont be back.

Called to see if they had alfalfa sprouts in produce I listened to the prompts and presses 7 to speak to produce and finally after endless ringing a woman picked up and I asked her if they had alfalfa sprouts and she said let me connect you to produce and as I attempted to tell her I tried produce she forwarded the phone and it eventually back to her and she hung up on me! This is typical Rouses customer service. I try to avoid them at all cost to minimize my agrivation.

If I could give zero stars I would. Needed to purchase cake. The cake decorator was so rude because of her own shortcomings or lack of training. It was so bar I called corporate in the store....may never shop here again!

Excellent food values in the deli/ ready-made food. I purchased a shrimp dinner basket, along with spaghetti and meatballs, and a cooked pork chop. All were good. Great variety. Always one or more good bargains.

Rouses has the most delicious and well seasoned Thanksgiving Turkey. I first discovered it at work when my department ordered Thanksgiving Turkey from them. Bought it again this year and still so delicious. I wish they will sell it for Christmas. It's that good

My company spends thousands of dollars monthly at various Rouses Supermarket. Holiday Square is our home store. Management and store associates are extremely helpful. The store is well kept and organized. A very welcoming and friendly neighborhood store. My shoppers enjoy shopping this store for our clients and I enjoy shopping this store for personal shopping needs.

Great time in the store. The managers and employees are the reason I continue to shop there. A winner Dixie is closer to my residence but I prefer rouses. I am treated like a customer who is cared for and is made to want to return.

Rouses is always stocked with fresh food. The store is always clean and the staff is most respectful. Always a smile at Rouses!
