Staff is always helpfulProblem is in using your convoluted points systemOnly store or company that doesn’t just add points or whatever you call them to one’s account upon checkout . And then let you use them when they have accumulated. It seems as if Petco doesn’t want people to use their reward points. I don’t want to take time to go online and add my purchases to my account .

They have decent customer service, but they are usually out of cat food and litter. Also they do not have carts, which is not great if your buying in bulk

This was my first time as a new fur parent and didn't know what to expect. I appreciate that the assistant was excellent at communicating. In addition to the standard visit we came for, my little one also needed a nail trim. Since he was not very good during previous experiences he needed to be muzzled. Again, the assistant was very gentle with him and we both ended up leaving happy.

I’m not sure who groomed my pooch, but my boyfriend brought her there and she home looking like another dog or some sort of creature. I usually don’t leave bad reviews, but I wish I could give half a star!The groomer asked how we wanted her cut, she was fluffy so we said just TRIMDO NOT CUT. Why was that so hard to follow? They just thought it would be easier to shave her because they didn’t feel like grooming her properly.Take your money to Petsmart or Petco uptown. We have been teasing her calling her Falcore from “The Neverending Story”, all day! At least she smelled nice.

For as many people as working there at any given time it is very difficult to find someone to help. The store was pretty good up until about a year and a half ago. They don't restock or rotate stock for insects. They even stopped putting dates on the bugs. I think it's the manager who seems to have a frustrated attitude. Short guy with glasses, can't tell tho because he's never wearing the work shirt.If you need feeder fish good luck. The dude last couple times gave me the wrong ones in a bag with half the usual amount of water to transport 20 fish. Didn't have time to correct him cause I had already been there 20 min waiting for help

My least favorite venue in New Orleans save The House of Blues. Terrible sight lines, sound is spotty depending on where you are in the room. Only go if Voodoo Dead is playing.

Kevin did such a beautiful job grooming my extremely anxious and fearful dog. The de-shedding is beyond amazing. She sheds like it's her job and flies away in huge clouds with every pet. No more! Such a wonderful experiencen I will be bringing her here regularly!

Petco Inc, close this waste of a store. You’re usually at 50% supply on dog food and treats, even when your online inventory states availability. When the staff was asked, the best I could get was, maybe it was stolen. Really? That’s the best ya got?!

All of the associates were very nice and helpful. This one who helped with our snails gave us tips to acclimate them and the cashier was very careful with them so they could travel as stress free as possible.

If I could leave 0 stars I would. I am a resident of the area and frequent this petco often as I have a family of 3 pets.We are petco vital core members and use the perks. However, the terrible attitude of the employees here is making me rethink my membership or change locations.I have had TERRIBLE experiences at the Vetco in Midcity. First time taking my dog in, they overcharged me $200 and I had to drive back over to get a refund because they had put a stranger's vet visit on my tab!!!!I gave them another chance and requested to pick up my cat's prescription flea medicine. I requested a package of 4 flea treatments and I got home with only 2 despite paying for all 4! When I called the store, the vetco front desk workers said I was lying and refused to give me a refund even with my receipt and the unopened viles of flea treatment and her prescription documentation. The worker hung up on me when I requested them to check their inventory. So I drove up there because I knew 100% they shorted me and that I paid for all of them. The front desk workers were very rude when I showed up and said that I would have to wait on the manager. So I waited and they were very rude about it. They made me wait for an hour!!!!! For the manager!! After waiting for an hour, the manager finally comes out and says "I checked the inventory and we did have two extra so sorry. We did short you." Absolutely ridiculous that the front desk workers treated me like that when I was 100% in the right. It wasn't about the cost of being overcharged. It's the fact that it's a prescription and I wouldn't have been able to get those prescriptions refilled because they are numbered.And to top it all off of why you should NEVER go to this petco, today I went in to get some supplies with my corgi puppy! She is a puppy and small and there were big dogs today in the store. I kindly put her in the shopping cart (big dogs tend to take advantage of her and not to mention, she's almost been kidnapped at this very same petco before by a fellow customer). I go to check out and there was a line forming due to lack of customer service. As we were waiting in line, another customer and their very large dog got behind us in line. Their dog started trying to get my corgi's attention so naturally, my corgi wanted out of the shopping cart. It was no big deal, she didn't bark or anything. She just wanted to play with the other dog as she is a puppy. The cashier calls me to check out and starts rudely speaking to me. And starts speaking extremely loud as I gave him my phone number and loaded up my items. My dog was fine at this point, just sitting in the shopping cart. We were just checking out and the cashier starts raising his voice, repeating my phone number to the entire store. The large dog of the other customer starts barking. At this point, I'm done checking out and we go to leave and the cashier starts raising his voice saying that I shouldn't have my dog in the shopping cart in front of the whole store! I an à new dog mom. This is my first dog so I know I'm not a perfect dog owner yet but she is a small dog in a shopping cart. She is clearly loved and well taken care of. There is so many worse things and he didn't have to go off on me in front of the whole store.

Great place for all things animals.I frequent this establishment for dog food & my pet needs. While it's NOT the only store I visit, I do make it a place to go.The store is so open, free to LEASHED pets, friendly staff, industry average pricing... PLUS they have a rewards program. Oh and did I mention, righhhhhttttt next door is an animal clinic. Talk about WIN-WIN!!!Upon my visit I was going to get dog food & to redeem this sweet, sweet offer for Sunny's bday treat!!! And that's what I did. Picked up her food & then the treats. The "free treat offer" maxed out at $5.99, but I picked a higher priced item & I knew I'd be asked to pay the difference at check-out. As I head to the register, the "fun" began.I must admit, it's NEVER A DULL A MOMENT HERE: As I got to the register, I noticed two young men purchasing an aquarium. I didn't see any fish, so their purchase was noticeably alarming. I did HOWEVER, see a small red & white box with small vent holes. Well I wondered what would comfortably fit inside... I looked and looked and never saw an animal and I just couldn't figure out what Petco could sell that'd be so tiny to comfortably fit in that box. Then I saw it... A SNAKE... A COLD BLOODED REPTILE... A LITTLE HISSER being held in the arms of one of the young men... I headed for the hills... Bye Felicia!!!!Soon they checked out & left yhr building, I returned to the register to get checked out myself... Can you say DONE!!!!!What an eventful day in Petco; I think I aged 10 years as a result of my not so close run-in with the snake. Ughhhh. I still have the creeps.

Lack of the quantity of the food I needed.The cashier had a poor attitude.Last but not least, charging for a bag!! If you are worried about plastic in a land fill....then use paper bags.

Just took my dog to the vet here for the first time and the staff is phenomenal. My dog was super nervous and they put us in a room before our appt to decompress. They were patient and were able to treat him. I used a coupon which cut the cost of the visit + meds in half. We will be back for our next visit. They’re super organized and the check in process is streamlined and easy. I could not be happier :)

Their rewards club makes things cheap enough to be competitive even with online retailers, and staff are friendly.I have had a lot of trouble redeeming rewards but that seems to be an issue with their app, not the store itself.

I have been taking my dog here for months. Jernice has been amazing and has been so sweet to our baby. He was only 5 months old when he first started going and she was super patient and gentle with him for his first ever hair cut and every cut after that. But then a coworker of hers called us on New Year's Eve and I wasn't able to answer (because I was celebrating with family) saying she was going to be sick for our appointment January 19th. I found it odd since it was 20 days before the appointment that they knew she was going to be sick that early. 😅 When I tried to reschedule online it says "the service I selected is unavailable at that location". The only service I selected was a bath and cut. Nothing fancy. So now I have to go to another location. 😒

Been taking my dog there for a few months. She normally has the nail clip and buff service. Had a 10.30 appointment this morning. Noticed a new price list up on the counter. Nail clip and buff = $20.99Mini groom, which includes nail clip, buff, ear clean, teeth clean, breath fresh and nice spray for $25.00.Let’s do it. Unfortunately, it was almost 11am before I got seen. The groomers are so under pressure and we’re being bugged by a guy on the till to take calls. So, decided to just have a quick nail trim at $12.00.This guy on the till was so rude. Not even a thank you when I paid. Threw my receipt at me and said ‘there you go’.Being in that store was miserable today. Stressful on my dog. I’m not sure if I want to put myself or my dog through this next month.A sign of the times. Under staffed. Rude staff. Poor customer service skills.Shame, as our groomer jernice is lovely. I felt so sorry for her. I could see the stress she was under. No support.This rude guy wasn’t exactly busy stacking the shelves and could have done better.Sorry Petco, your service is slipping.

Ms. Flo was amazing!! She took our poodle who is very afraid of grooming and was matted and in need of a lot of TLC and cleaned him up! He smells amazing, his nails are trimmed, and we can actually see his little face. All of the staff were so nice and friendly, they gave my dog treats to make him feel more comfortable and put my mind at ease. I would highly recommend them for all of your pet needs!

The associates in the fish department went above and beyond. I explained to the wonderful man that my 10 year old is autistic and was extremely upset her fish died and asked him if he could possibly get her one that had a stripe on it like her old one. There was only one that did and he was so kind in getting that particular fish for her. Also, they tested our water and gave me very helpful information. Your employees are very knowledgeable.

It's petco how can you not love it, you may not like some employees but at the end of the day you know you can find all your pets favorite toys and dog necessities. My Dozer finally got a harness that he hasent broken yet. We're still keeping our fingers crossed, but the "Ready" brand harness has aluminum clips (FTW) its taken a beating so far and it's still ticking.
