We adopted Byron from LASPCA last Saturday. We couldn't be happier! The staff was so friendly and helpful. We met at least 10 dogs and the girls at the front were happy to keep taking dogs out for us. We found our special boy and the adoption process was painless. They also have a low-cost clinic for follow-up medical appointments which I appreciate. I hope more people decide to adopt with LASPCA!

Please don’t use this place especially if you find a stray and want to bring it in here. They will put it asleep quicker than you can say thanks.I recently fostered a dog from here a few months back and after a month I had to bring her back in because my neighbors were complaining about the constant barking while I was away at work.I called up and they told me to bring her back in. She was a puppy 7 months old and in great health. I was told by one of the foster coordinators originally when I took her that even if I can only keep her for a few days they chances of her getting adopted when she comes back are greatly improved. I kept an eye on the website after I dropped her back to see if they posted her photo for adoption but nothing. I emailed and asked how she’s doing and got no response. A week later I eventually got a response only for them to tell me the dog was euthanized because of neurological problems. I was heartbroken. If I had have know this was gonna happen I’d have held onto her until someone or some other organization could put her up for adoption. I have lost all faith in this organization. I wish they told me they were gonna put her asleep and I would never have brought her back.PLEASE DO YOURSELF A FAVOR AND IF YOU DO DECIDE TO USE THIS PLACE JUST KNOW THAT THE DOG YOU BRING IN HAS A HUGE CHANCE OF EUTHANASIA !!This place needs to be more open about the fact that they are a kill shelter.

I adopted a pet on a weekend. Asked a vet tech about a concern I saw on the dog. She didnt seem the least bit of concerned but looked and said its fine. Days later, Im at the vet with a costly bill, cause the dog is SICK with uper respiratory infections that had been present and other infections(that were related to the concern I brought up). This place does not seem to care. Just brush the pet off on whoever wants it.

I found a cat that was not in good shape. I dropped her off here. Regardless of what decision was ultimately taken to help her the SPCA is a very impressive building and it’s clean and the staff were helpful on arrival. To know that it’s there is very appreciated.

Wouldn’t take an emaciated pregnant dog that looks very ill in that we found because we found it across the river. Three employees behind the desk watched us struggle with the dog to take it back to our car because it was unable to walk. Told us to “bring it somewhere else”.Very sad these people are supposed to be the place we feel safe to bring stray hurt dogs to.

We volunteered here for our local chapter seminar! Was so much fun walking the dogs, playing with the cats, and separating news paper!

Great staff. Unfortunately too many dogs and cats locked up in jail. Wish I could have taken them all.

I am very grateful that spca was able to fix a feral kitten that I look after in neighborhood backyardsHoweverI will never use s p c a again.I'm not going to go chapter & verse, don't like giving bad reviews ... but I did have to say this much. It's not worth the money saved.💯

Everyone there was friendly and helpful. Due to my high allergy for pets I wasn't triggered as the place was neat, clean and smelled fresh.

They helped us give our old, sick doggie a dignified goodbye. I will be forever grateful for the way they treated all of us during that difficult time.

After a recent surgery to remove a malignant sarcoma on my Lab, I was worried and wanted to be sure I was doing everything I could do with Zoë’s nutrition to give her the best chance possible for many more years with us. I booked a nutrition appointment via email. The online system is hit or miss, but the emails are always answered rapidly. The front desk ladies and vet techs were all so compassionate and caring while being organized and professional. The MD took her time with us. She answered all my questions and explained things I hadn’t even thought of yet. She seemed to really care for my girl and that’s what I appreciated the most. I left with a calm mind, my questions answered, confident we were doing our best for Zoë. I would definitely recommend the Community Clinic to anyone who asks. 🐶

They are friendly and easy to adopt from. Only complaint is the place reeks of dog pee.Like. Just hire one extra person to clean, because it can be suffocating.

I saw the VRC episode regarding Beatrice who was throw out of a vehicle and left for dead by the railroad tracks. Shame on this SPCA for putting this dog down. You cannot determine a dog’s disposition in a shelter environment when the dog has encountered this type of trauma. I have been involved in rescue for the past 30 years and the actions that were taken are disgusting. Hoping this location has changed its practices since the airing of this event.

Everything went smooth, and fast. The staff are amazing. Helped me find my new kitty! I got the sweetest, most beautiful little black kitten there. She has made our home a happier place. You can tell she was so well taken care of while she was there! I think it's why she is so sweet!

ZERO STARS... This place is Death Row for pets. Shame on LASPCA. 72 hours is completely NOT enough time to determine if a pet is deemed dangerous to humanity.Shout out to Villalobos Rescue Center who actually gives pets (dogs) a second chance... #PreyforourPets

I was blown away by the professionalism and friendliness of the staff. They truly care about helping the animals adopted get well. There was no time restraints! The vet and her staff spent so much time answering my questions and thoroughly went through the process of treatment. I commend everyone who is there and thank you for helping my anxiety for my fur babies to go through this procedure.

I had to put my beloved Lucy down on January 5th. They we're extremely nice and caring. It was one of the worse days of my life. They handled her with ease and allowed my family to say goodbye to our precious baby. Thank you all.

I took Oreo there to receive his first vaccinations. The techs were awesome and the doctor was great. Everyone was friendly, timely, and professional. And truly cost effective! Oreo will be returning for his boosters and to be neutered.

Awesome!!! My fur pit babies and I love this place. Tanya is the best tech around, very patient and kind spirited. The Dr are great as well, make you feel comfortable, sending them back without you, (Covid). Don't hesitate, this is one time you get more than you pay 😍🤩😘.

I love this place…. The women are all so GREAT, including THE CALL CENTER REPS. If you need to see a veterinarian, I promise they are it. If they are it for ME then believe me, go and see for yourself. No complaints at ALL.
