Rouses might want to have a talk with their personal in New Iberia.. I have shopped their a half a dozen times since moving from Lafayette. I've spent a couple grand there. Unfortunately I have been shadowed by the little old man security guard and various employees at Every turn....Not like I'm some teenager screwing around in their store trying to shoplift something.. I'm a 58 year old white guy in my company uniform.. I will never shop on Rouses again because of this . Good luck to y'all.

There food is fairly tasty , but let's be fair on pricing . 1- small drum stick and 1-small wing baked and 1- half spoon of Mac - cheese almost $8.00 that is over priced!!

Rouses is the perfect market, they’ve got pretty much everything you need, quick in and out, they seem to have an appropriate number of registers manned with amount of customers, which says a lot for stores these days. Love the recent renovations.

Definitely a more upscale grocery store for New Iberia. There are cheaper stores just down the street like Simoneaud's but if you are looking for higher end, higher quality, better selection, this is the place. Sort of like a miniature Wegman's. People are friendly there but that is endemic in New Iberia and not specific to the staff! ;-).

Very disappointed. Bought a vegetable tray and fruit tray on December 23 for family Christmas. Opened the trays on Christmas morning and they were both spoiled. Went to store on Monday to let them know about our problem. They were not anything about it without a receipt and the food containers. This was thrown away as we didn’t anticipate a problem. My friend had the receipt on his phone but the lady said she needed the actual receipt and they didn’t do anything about it.

I love shopping here. The store is big and very well kept. The employees are friendly. Unlike super 1 you don't have to buy 4 or 6 or a certain amount of a item to get the sale price. Only complaint is the loud shrimp smell when you pass by the seafood department and something's are a bit pricey. Definitely love getting money orders but you can only do cash or debit cards for them.

It a nice and clean place. The store is more of a high end, so the prices there were already higher than usually compared to the other stores in the area. And it actually have gotten more expensive there since a few years ago. You can see price inflations and it honest getting ridiculous. Seems like price gauging to me. Their plate lunch food is expensive & not very good. You can go to other stores or plate lunch establishment and get it way cheaper. They up the prices on their already prepared to go food. And honestly they are not the best qualify as they sit in the heat lamp for a long time. And it can get soggy. Not sure why their sushi are so expensive for subpar quality ingredients and not much options to choose. When you can go to an actually Sushi restaurant and get higher quality sushi for same price are cheaper. Depending on which Sushi restaurant you go. But all-in-all, it a nice place to frequent once in a while.

I really love the variety of groceries. The "freah" seafood on the other hand was foul! They sold me very bad fish TWICE! The first time I threw it away, and thought maybe it was just a fluke. The second time however, I returned it...and the lady standing in line behind me was so disgusted by the smell she backed up at least 10 feet.

I was invited to a crawfish boil this weekend and needed a good dessert to bring. I immediately thought of Rouses. The lady in the bakery who did my Doberge cake did a phenomenal job. It came out just the way I ordered it and the crowd loved it! Thank you for making ordering a cake while out of state simple and easy.

The most amazing cakes in the area. What a wonderful addition to New Iberia. This store is in an easy to get to location, is well lit, and clean. The store offers a great variety of products along with really lovely meats. If you're looking for a delicious cake, Rouses is definitely the place to go! My husband and I buy one for every family dinner and have never been disappointed yet.

Had a plate lunch and my mashed potatoes were cold, the fried chicken was good and baked beans very tasty. Gd and her friend did not like the bbq sauce on rib ends...too sweet. Hubby tried the shrimp creole and there is a spice in it that he doesn't like. Won't get that again. Will go back and try other things over time. Employees were very nice and helpful.

I'm only giving 2 stars because I didn't try the Crawfish I just bought yet. I'm so shocked at the way I was treated in the store by the ghetto cashier. This is like my second time in this store and I don't think I'll be coming back!! They don't deserve the business and they need to treat their customers a lot better than that if they want to keep their jobs

Sometimes There Are Not Enuff Registers Open, Especially In The Evening. Sales Are Gr8t And Veggies Are Fresh. Love Their Homemade Cookies And Cinnamon Rolls. I Don't Trust Their Meat Because On 3 Or 4 Occasions I Had To Bring The Meat Back For A Refund.

Great store! It can be pricey. They have an awesome variety. They have the stuff I can't find anywhere else. They have coffee and nut butter grinders with plenty of beans and nuts to choose from. They would have 5 stars but pantry staples are on the expensive side.

Love this place it's very convenient and I can run in and out quickly. Attitudes need to be checked in the cake department but other then that I haven't had any problems there...Its oct. 17, 2020 and today the seafood was horrible...The crabs are too expensive to taste so awful..the turkey necks tasted the same like dirty water or a dirty dish towel...I won't be getting boiled seafood from here anytime soon...A waste of my money and 22.00 on those crabs..ughh

Sale items are usually very good prices. Big variety in bakery/deli department. Cashier/stocker extremely helpful. Only real complaint is some of the young cashier's talking (gossip) to other cashier's while checking customers out, and lack of public relations and courteous behavior.

I love this store, but these geniuses are having both entering and exiting customers come through the same door instead of having one exclusively for entering and one exclusively for exiting. People are piling up a bit. Not only that, but baskets are sanitized AFTER customers grab them and bring them into the store.. seems kind of pointless.

Within minutes of looking for an item, a worker came by to assist . Bingo! Item found. Off to meat department. Sale item could not be located. No kidding, a worker spotted us looking , and she went to check. In no time, the butcher was cutting us fresh packs of the item needed. Thank you !

Interesting place for someone coming from "the big city". They have a small produce section, but the local veggies are great. The "ethnic" aisle made me laugh. It was one side of a tiny aisle and crammed everything from Mexican to Italian in the one little place. So for anything other than fresh local produce, I would recommend the Wal-Mart across the street.
