Definitely appreciate Malcom Montgomery coming out on a Sunday to get us cool air again. He found the issue very quick and also had that issue resolved very soon! He was very knowledgeable and looked over a few other things while here to make sure our unit was running the best it could. Malcom was very professional and very nice!! We have been very pleased overall with the service we have received from Axsom Air over the years and continue to be so after this latest work we had done. Late last year it was determined that our fifty-plus year-old house needed to be brought up to modern code requirements. It entailed three days of work inside and outside on the three coldest days of 2024 so far. The team who did the work, a senior electrician named Kevin and two younger techs named Jacob and (we cannot remember the other name), working under Kevin’s supervision, were unfailingly prompt and efficient, polite and courteous as they worked their way through our house and especially outside in sub-freezing conditions which undoubtedly impeded their work. All that being said, however, it was a struggle determining how to rate the overall experience fairly. It is a shame that the review system does not allow fractional stars, because four out of five seems too low, but neither could we give them a full five stars. Most of the work went off without a hitch. Nevertheless, three items (one relatively minor) must also be acknowledged: 1) Immediately after they departed on the first day, we discovered that two major appliances were not working. It was so soon that the dispatcher at Axsom’s main office still showed them here, and fortunately Kevin lives very near us. He was there within minutes and determined the problem to be, as we understand it, a wire cut too short in installing the new outlet on that circuit. He fixed it and all was well. 2) Nevertheless, within an hour or so, the house seemed unusually cold even though we could hear the HVAC blower working. The setpoint was 68F, but the ambient temperature was only 62F, quickly falling to 61F. We called the dispatcher again. It took a little longer to get an HVAC technician over here, by which time the air temperature had fallen to 54F. We would like to especially commend that technician, Malcolm, who, even though we were his ninth call in a long day (it was verging on 9:30pm by that time) was unfailingly cheerful as he checked over the unit and found that the outlet powering the HVAC had been (as we understand it) wired with its polarity reversed. Apparently even though most circuits can work either way, the HVAC will not. Again, fortunately, it was quickly fixed. 3) The third problem was merely an annoyance, that the team did not pick up completely after themselves, nor did they reattach (or attach, as the case might be) all of the switch- and outlet-plates. One of the switchplates could not be found. At least one of the old outlets was simply left discarded to the side. (See attached photo.) There were numerous short pieces of stripped insulation in the vicinity of each of their work sites, which also had numerous little piles of dust and debris produced by their work. Compared especially to problem number 2 above, this is trivial, but for several thousand dollars we did not expect any of these. So, to sum up, our overall experience was quite positive, with a couple of mishaps along the way that kept it from being perfect. If we could assign half-stars, the assessment would be 4.5 stars.

Michael Simmons did a great job! He gave me a proper estimate.The work required digging, cutting pipe and re-piping, and removal of an unneeded indoor pressure regulator which he also removed with more re-piping. There was no damage done to anything, and his clean-up was also perfect. He was polite and addressed all my questions. You could not expect a better worker.

The good reviews clearly show that you have the ability to provide excellent service. Which is why I was so disappointed to see my 80 year old neighbors did not receive that same treatment. The husband is wheelchair bound and unable to do his home repairs. They called you and you charged them $1,000 to change out a toilet. You did tell them what it would cost before hand and they still purchased it, thinking they had no choice. I also don't know why you could not provide an itiemized invoice showing parts and labor seperately when asked for one. That labor much have been a doozie since it took less than an hour to instal the toilet. Also, a few days later the same couple, who have your monthly maintenance plan, for their AC Unit had you come and do the annual maintenance on their AC. The Tech said the freon was good an that he cleand the unit. That night the unit quit cooling. Had to call another company to come fix it, $280 . The freon had leaked out, the cap was bent and not screwed in all the way. Also had to be cleaned, obvioulsy it was not cleaned by your tech. These prople trusted you, why would you treat your loyal customers this way?

We couldn't get the heat or hot water on in our newly purchased home. Given it was late December, it was freezing! We called never expecting they could send someone out same day...but they did. Not only that, but it was 30 minutes later! BTW- it was a few days before Christmas too! We had called several other places and no one even picked up the phone. Bobby was our technician. He figured out what was going on with both issues...something that was well out of the skill set of a homeowner. He expertly fixed both problems. He was pleasant, knowledgeable and professional. We would highly recommend this company and Bobby specifically. Give this man a raise!

There was an issue with my 2 yr old bathroom sink faucet water flow. The faucet was barely running water through the spicket. I called AxsomAir and Micheal came out. Michael presented two possible solutions, replacing the entire bathroom faucet (set fee plus cost of new faucet)or taking a chance and working on the faucet without a guarantee it would correct the issue and if not a replacement would be needed(set fee for the work PLUS set fee for replacement AND new faucet). I chose to have Michael work on the existing faucet and he was successful!! The problem was resolved and I can proudly say Micheal is extremely knowledgeable, professional and I would ABSOLUTELY request Michael for any plumbing service needed.

The technician who repaired my home’s electrical system did good work, was knowledgeable, and friendly.The tech. who installed my new water heater also did good work, was knowledgeable, and friendly. However, the garage needed to be cleaned up a bit when I came home from work—he moved some items out of the storage room to do the installation and did not put them back in their original location. They weren’t heavy so moving them back wasn’t a big deal, but I would have appreciated a heads up about it by text so that I would know what to expect. The reason: the items were sitting on the garage floor, and I could have run over them without knowing they were there.Service: General repairs

Quite disappointed. Had a drain under one toilet get clogged. They claimed that my pipes to my septic tank were clogged and needed replacing. Wouldn’t listen to me when I said that I wasn’t having problems with any of my other drains. They gave me an estimate for $7700 dollars for 20 feet of new pipe outside and charged me $460 dollars for the visit and I still have only one clogged toilet drain.UPDATE: had another plumber come out a few days later. He had the drain unclogged in no time. AxsomAir said in their response to my review that a GM would be in contact but I have not heard anything from them.

I have been a customer of Axsom for many years. I've been on their loyalty program thinking that would save me money and would have service that was reliable and trustworthy. Over the last year I've had a couple of things happen at my house where I called them for service. One was a broken gas line that AT&t cut but it was on my side so it was my responsibility to fix. I called Axsom and they charged me over $1,500 to replace about a quarter of an inch PVC pipe. Thankfully I was able to get reimbursed for that through AT&T, but I also called and spoke to a manager at Axsom about the ridiculous amount. I was given excuses about insurance and overhead, etc I understand the cost of running a business, but the entire job took less than 20 minutes, not including waiting on a permit, and the cost of material was miniscule. On another occasion they tried to sell me a new water heater. The lowest price was about $2,700 up to over $4,000. Yesterday my washing machine started leaking into my carport. I called them and was thankful that they had an opening that day. The only issue was that the line needed to be snaked and they had to get on the roof to do that. The price they quoted me, with my loyalty discount, was about $545. I said no thank you. I called another plumbing company and they came out today and fixed the issue for $185. I am done with Axsom and would never recommend them to anyone. I do feel like the company changed when they were sold, but they were always a little bit higher and I was okay with it because I felt I could get quick service and honesty. I don't feel that's the case anymore.

He knew right away the cause and double checked with his supervisor which gave me extra assurance to resolve my issue. I've been a regular customer with Axom Air since the end of 2022.
