They have a wide range of food choices. Big portions of food too. I gave it 4 stars because it does take some time for the food to get to the table. However, saying that, the wait is worth it.

Lived here my whole life minus a few years here or there and Longwood has always been where I go every morning. So my house burnt down, no refrigerator, I needed 1 bag of ice. They said they had none. Upon looking in cooler there was at least 50 7 lb. bags. When I told the attendant I was told that was their ice and wouldn't sell me any. So much for years of loyalty.Update: The store manager remedied the ice situation for me! Felt like the old Jerry King Longwood again!9/13/23 update.Lisa & Marilyn hired my wife! She now works in the Casino and I have to say Longwood is trending back towards the Longwood we all love and remember.If the delivery's for the restaurant would get right I would have no complaints. It just so happens they get a truck on an inconvenient day and I've never been able to order anything I want off menu. They are ALWAYS lacking something. No chicken fried steak, no chicken fried chicken, no 1)5 lb. Cheeseburgers etc.Also, they DISCONTINUED onion rings, the seasoned fries are good though.The atmosphere is the high point. You can come rain or shine, suit or rags, and be treated as a valued customer. New review as soon as next month.

UPDATE The food service hours have changed. In the last three months both the service and the food quality have gone way down. The last time I ate there, the chicken fried steak gravy was like Jell-O and the baked potatoes for both meals were raw. I have had better service when the restaurant was packed and they only had one waitress. Now they have several waitress and you can't get even the initial service if menus and drinks. We were eating there at least once a week but I won't be going back.

Fantastic Chicken Fried Stake. Great sides. Best steak worth the drive off the Interstate.If you are in a hurry, they have some quick grab food like Chicken on a Stick. I have had it fresh and I can say it is great. It was an impulse buy as the lady was bringing them from the kitchen and I have a weakness.Breakfast pancakes seems like seems like 2 for 1 but it is actually just 1 order. Bring your appetite.

My son is a truck driver and got there late and kitchen was closed. The lady working cooked him something to eat anyway so he could have a hot meal! Plus he said it was delicious! Thank you so much! Nice to know there are places still out there that take care of you like you’re family!

For a steak in the middle of nowhere it's fairly good and affordable. The place is definitely not the cleanest or nicest. BUT the food is worth it if you live close by or are craving a good steak. I would come back for the food not the views. 😜

This place has some OK food, and if you can manage to get there when no one else is around and get the right waitress (Abbey), you can get good service. But BEWARE coming on the weekend or when they are busy. I made that mistake this weekend. Had to wait and beg for every little thing. My wife had to get her own straw to drink with. I had to go find my own to-go container. When I finally did get the bacon I had asked for, it was slammed down on the table and the waitress left again in a huff... apparently because I had the gall to remind her about it. Even though it took almost an hour to get my steak, my coffee was only refilled once, even though it was empty the whole time (cold out), and I don't think my wife ever did get a refill. I specifically drove there thinking it would be a country place to eat with country (good) service. I am not planning on coming back.

Tried to get gas but had to go back in three times. Also bought a carton of cigarettes that were supposed to be discounted but were not. A bit aggregating. Did not feel welcomed. Small town people attitude but they offer more than expected. In the middle of nowhere.

Best chicken fried steak in this neck of the woods.11/21 update. New Owner restaurant is so messed up. Orders wrong food forgotten. Not the same cooks people walking out. So sad was one of my favorite places.

It's not terrible lololol but definitely NOT my favorite!It's Really Super Expensive! Especially cigarettes!!! ALL of the Marlboros are the same price...Which is Almost $8 a Pack!!!Some of The employees tend to leave customers standing and waiting...and waiting...and waiting while they are off somewhere doing whatever it is they do that is more important than good customer service! Anyway...Don't get me wrong...Some of them are friendly and put the customer first...I Really Love the Blonde lady who wears glasses!...but some are cold and act like they hate their job and are bothered to ring you up lolOn a Positive note...They have a Restaurant and the food is Really good...a little expensive, but the portions are huge and you could probably split a dinner with someone else and get full...I do this with the Chicken fried steak dinner because it's HUGE!Convenience is the one thing they have going for them other than a game room if you're into gambling!There's not any more stores in the country where it's located...In conclusion, It's an okay store, but need to work on Customer service and satisfaction:):):)

One of the best hidden treasures in the Shreveport area! Actually a little bit north and west of Shreveport. Great food! Great folks! Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights are steak nights! Delish! Daily lunch specials, Monday-Friday! Or you can order off the menu and choose from a variety of items! If you want to play a little video poker, they have that too! We haven't had anything we didn't like! Try it! You just might like it too!

All employees are so quick to catch an attitude over anything. At the casino my machine did not print a ticket due to the paper being out and was informed aggressively how “they’re not responsible for machine malfunctions” and “will not argue with me” said by the manager before hanging up when I was simply just stating what happened. I have been to numerous casinos that simply pull up the previous report, print my ticket and hand me my cash. They had no interest in noting my personal information after a dispute. Sad to see a childhood store turn into trash ran by old grumps with no work ethics or hospitality. Confirming with Louisiana Gaming Commission that their actions were unlawful.

They grilled burgers are delish! Just make sure to ask them to drain the patty good. Quick and down to earth service. Not many places can compete with the down home country feel. Reminds me of my youth where you could get southern comfort food with a smile. It's a charming little store with a big heart. Also just a quick walk across the wooden porch sits a small little casino with video poker amd the likes. I prefer this place to the larger chain c stores nearby like thw relay station.

Best burgers in the area hands down! Huge portions, and always the way you want it. My only problem is I live too far away to come here more often.
