Walgreens just acquired Brookshire location in Monroe. Being a local customer for over a year I have had my diabetic medications filled @ $15 a month. My wife picked up my prescription and paid $55 (73% increase). I called next day to inquire about increase and was told that the transition of Walgreens system & policy was possibly the reason for increase. I identified that the brand had been changed to a different manufacturer but same product. I was told that I could not return unused/unopened product for replacement of the original product that I had been receiving over last year and thus no refund. I’m not one to normally complain but some people can’t afford to have this type of monthly payment added to their budget. I definitely will be going elsewhere to get my pharmacy needs. Very disappointed with transition & policy.

I did a pickup order for this location. My time slot was between 1-2. I never received a notification to pickup my order. I had to reach out to the store, my order wasn’t ready until after 4:30pm. I arrived at 4:57 pm and received my order at 5:32pm. This is completely unacceptable. Tried speaking with a manager and I was left on hold.

Ok, I have never really been a Brookshires fan, its apparent when they raise prices for a buy one get one so they really aren't losing money, and I've always just preferred Wal-Mart BUT the boyfriend brought home 2 frozen vegan meals that I hadn't seen before so I decided to go back with him the next weekend to see what else they had. Can I just say in a place where vegan foods are not easy to come by they had an AMAZING selection, they had spots in the fresh produce section, in the cheese and egg section that had so many different options, in the frozen food section, and TONS of ice cream options. This has been a struggle for me, especially since local restaurants have no options at all. I am very pleased with the vegan selection and will be making this my go to shop place!!

These prices are getting ridiculous, anything that you buy here will be usually $1-$2 more than Walmart or the nearest competing grocery store. This is basically the only grocery store in north Monroe & it’s completely over priced. I used to love coming here, not with these prices anymore. Yall are NOT target, start acting like yall have some sense !

Horrible can’t get associates to answer the phone during business hours. Wanted to place a cake order. I called & had another person to call but no answer. The next day we tried again the lady said, “it was probably busy and they couldn’t answer the phone.”Well why not just close down bc it’s common courtesy to answer & ask if the customer can please hold. This is not the company I remember.Thanks

Loved this store’s bakery BUT I ordered 4 dozen lime and lemon cupcakes. THEY WERE SO DRY AND TASTELESS!! I buy a lot of cakes in a year from this bakery because the cakes are always so moist and delicious. I buy for personal reasons and also for our church’s showers and birthdays. Please get back on track!! You are needed.

It’s a good grocery store to shop at for great quality and fresh food. My only issue is the workers there. When I go to self checkout I’m being watch heavily. I understand your have to monitor and do your job but as someone that shops there frequently it’s quite a bit uncomfortable.

May be the best grocery store in Monroe. As the sign says, Fresh Sushi, which is made fresh daily. When shopping at this store, look around thoroughly to find surprise foods and produce. Like pink pineapples, whole jackfruit, young coconuts. Check the butcher meat section for marbled steaks, ribeye, or porterhouse. Maybe pricey or on sale, but usually worth it for Angus beef. Same for the seafood section, oysters, red snapper, or pickled herring in jars. Need a jar of freshly made horseradish? You'll find it in the deli or fresh seafood section.Oh, no, bought too much food or some heavy bags of flour or onions? No problem, employees will take your goods to your vehicle and put in your trunk or trunk bed. Tips are optional. Finally, check your receipts. Spend =>$100.00 this month, NEXT month you'll get 10 cents off per gallon! (Maximum 30 gallons)

This store was nice enough, but it's really expensive. Even more so, if you don't download the crazy app. I purchased 3 items and they were $4 cheaper at Walmart. I could not afford to shop here on regular basis.It was just handy this time.

Excellent staff, great deals (make sure you get the App and a free Thank-You Card!!!), and a clean store; what more could you want? I love their meat deals (Buy one get one $0.01 deals are super common here for meat), they've let me and my friends have very affordable steak nights for a while!
