I returned cat food because my cat had to be euthanized and she was our last pet and I was outside of the 30 day return policy and the manager gave me a store credit. Very insensitive and not willing to have empathy! Horrible business practices!

Please be careful if you do auto delivery with Petco. The tip for the Door Dash driver does not repeat. If you call Petco, they tell you to call Door Dash. I don't even have an account with Door Dash. My account is with Petco. I called Door Dash; they say you have to call Petco. This is unacceptable and totally unfair to the driver. The person who answered at Petco could not have cared less.Update: the manager at Petco was very nice and tried to be helpful, but there was nothing she could do to fix it. She gave me the Petco corporate number. They tell me their system does not allow tipping for subsequent auto deliveries. This needs to be corrected by Petco. Finally, to the Door Dash driver that I cannot reach and cannot tip, my sincere apologies. Your work is appreciated, and I really did try to fix this.

Always a very clean and organized store! Everything is priced out there and I've been to other petcos in the area and u can never find the price of things. Ginger is always so welcoming and always very helpful. I've been in a few times and she has opened 2 registers when a line formed and worked both so she can get the line down when they are short staffed. I always know when I come in and see Ginger is there I know my experience that day will be a great one because she is very knowledgeable and I'm going to get the best price as she always checks the online price for me! Even my dog get super excited to see when she there! Would definitely recommend the Metairie store because they know their stuff and will teach u the best way to take care of your pets!

My family lives this particular store, their veterinarians and especially their grooming department. Tierra is absolutely awesome and our dog loves her. She is our “Go To” person for our dog’s grooming needs.

Lizard, at the Petco in Metairie, Louisiana, consistently goes above and beyond in their customer service. Every time I visit this Petco location, Lizard offers exceptional care. Lizard has been one of the few points of consistency at this Petco over the past 3 years and we appreciate them for who they are. Lizard is Amazing!

I got a new Goldendoodle puppy a few months ago and have gone to the Metairie Petco’s grooming salon twice since then. Both times, they were incredibly helpful and I absolutely loved my experience. The first time, I was helped by Tierra. The second time by Jen. Those girls really know what they’re doing and I feel confident trusting them with my dog! They were very patient with all of my questions, took wonderful care of my pup, and her haircuts always looked precious! She’s a nervous little puppy, and seeing how calm and sweet they were with her was great. They gave me tips on brushing her, how to deal with matting issues, and what shampoos to use. Really taught me a lot and never made me feel like I was asking a dumb question. THANK YOU so much for such excellent customer service. I (and my dog Roux!) will definitely be back!

DO NOT! Have your pet groomed here! I’ve not encountered such incompetence in my life. This particular store has the worse customer service and attitude. Although they ask you what you need done to your pet, the end result is absolutely not what you asked for AND the worst part, no matter what they failed to do, will somehow become your issue. What’s funny is when dropping my puppy off, the customer service agent was on the phone with another unhappy customer who she then hung up with to say, “I hate when customers get mad at what they’ve asked to be done”, hmmmmmm you mean another unsatisfied customer?! When I picked my puppy up, (which they stated they would call me when ready), after four hours, I decided to go up and gauge the status. Good news! Right?!! Not so much, after telling me he was finished, they proceeded to take payment, oh and fore sure ask for a tip, which I obliged. (Funny they ask for payment and tip prior to seeing your pet), As I get into the car and look my baby over, they had never groomed his face. I go back in to advise the one specific thing I requested had not been completed, easy to see. She took him back in, quickly cut his eyes enough for him to see, not gracefully at ALL! I get home to further realize, his nails also were not touched. I call back and I believe after reading this so far, you might realize, me as a paying customer was the issue once more. You will feel exactly what I encountered when you get there, the attitudes are undeniable and as a paying customer they make you feel as if you shouldn’t ask or want much. Not only do I NOT want to experience this anymore, I wish someone has warned me as I would not had trusted my baby to these unkind people. You’ve been warned, spend your money elsewhere!! I also NOW understand why they have so much availability, when they are busy it’s because they are the last resort.

I had a disappointing encounter with a Regional Manger, Scott. I reached out to him with the hope of resolving a problem, but unfortunately, that did not happen. Instead, I found myself being charged for actions that were not completed as promised. It became evident that Regional Manger Scott was completely untrustworthy. While he may not have personally shown disrespect, his lack of empathy and the actions of his workers reflected poorly on his character. It was a frustrating and disillusioning experience that left me questioning his and the company’s integrity as a whole.

The fish aren't taken care of. The saltwater fish are in very poor condition. I don't understand why some Petcos do such a terrible job at fish keeping. Why don't y'all outsource your fish keeping/cleaning? Or have a group of district fish keepers that work for Petco and go to different stores to keep the tanks clean and healthy? You would honestly sell more but you have such a bad rep for keeping fish. Something needs to change. Not everyone can keep fish.

Definitely recommend their grooming services. They are friendly and highly experienced. I have also had my dogs trained here and I am very satisfied with the results.

The worst thing dont take your dog there this is what they did with my dog he spend 5 hours and half i had to call to see what was going on and pick him up and they tried to charge me full price when they messed him up all bad they didnt do his nails or face and shave his body the worst

The product I purchased was not in the size I wanted, lack of inventory.My main concern was this 10 cents a bag charge, uncalled for.So one solution is to shop elsewhere or if you're so concerned with the environment, as we all should be, have paper bags instead of plastic 🤔!!! No brainer.... PLANT TREES.

Amber is wonderful! She worked us in and treats our fur babies so well. I will definitely bring them back to groom. I have a 15 year pitbull, 12 year chihuahua and a 7 month chihuahua and she gives them extra love. Highly recommend!

I was wondering if the Andis #10 blade would fit my Oster clippers. The staff got a similar blade from the grooming area and tried it. It fit perfectly, so I then wanted to buy the blade, and they went to the trouble of getting me the online price (vs the store price). The 2 or 3 people who helped me were just great!

We visit the this Petco frequently for all of both our cat and dog's needs.Most recently we've been visiting for our puppy's training classes with Mrs. Sharon! She has been a HUGE help in helping us survive the stubbornness that is puppyhood! Out Ellinia went from being a crazy, stubborn pile of energy, to just a crazy pile of energy! Mrs. Sharon has been a big help in helping us to understand Ellinia's training, as well as helping Ellinia to understand it too. We just signed up for our second round of puppy classes, and can't wait to learn some new tricks. Thank you Mrs. Sharon!

I took our cat to the vet clinic there. I was able to get an appointment the same day. The visit fee was only $25. Anything else needed is extra of course. But they were all really sweet and caring. They even texted me the next day just to check up on our cat. I hope he gets better soon! Thank you guys!

Very unprofessional, rude and unhappy workers. (Lizard, the manager) was very aggressive and rude to me and needs to work on customer service skills. He seem to be upset that I moved his U-boat out my view of the tanks and decided he wanted to pretty much run me over with his U-boat. He was very aggressive and rude about me moving his U-boat and told me to call who I would like to call because he was the manager. Will not be shopping at this location any more due to his actions. I felt attacked and unwelcome.

Boyfriend and I have been looking into getting a bird for awhile and today we finally found the perfect girl. She's a cute conure named Lola. The whole staff was super helpful in getting everything we need to make her happy in her new home and I cannot thank them enough for all their help

Petco falls short of expectations with its unprofessional and disgruntled staff, evident during their busy restocking days. Disappointingly, their betta fish suffer from neglect, with dirty water and sickly specimens being sold at an exorbitant price. This once reputable store has sadly lost its commitment to quality and customer satisfaction.
