Isabella is such a sweetheart! Give this girly a raise!! She was super informative. Have such a comfy vibe and went through my picked items and helped me pick out raw hide vs not. Being I wanted to stick to a certain diet. She seemed happy to be there and actually wanted to talk to us as customers. Jefferson feed always has a variety. Love this store! Took a friend to check it out and brag on it. They loved it as well. Reasonable prices ! 10/10

Update:After 2.months, Lynn the manager and Ryan have not cared to follow up.BOYCOTT.Jefferson feed is ableist and unsafe. They will allow and standby bigotry in their stores.Update:I spoke with the general manager of the stores and he was really good at listening.He told me the manager had already called him and was upset. I clarified I was most upset that they allowed another customer to bully me like that and didn't say anything or ban her. She should have been banned on the spot for mocking a disabled person.He thanked me for helping them to do better and did give me a gift card to help out. He promised he would look into training and was sincere.This is the first time a manager has agreed to the idea of more training when their policy was ableist. So I will keep shopping here and working with them to do better.----------------tldr; Jefferson Feed is ableist and will not stand for or protect disabled people. Give your money elsewhere.I am a disabled person who uses a cane with a seat to get around.I spent 10min at least walking around and asked for a cart, etc.I waited in line to be cut not once, but twice by able-bodied people walking in front of me.The second time I said, "That's the second time I've been cut in line while sitting right here."The customer, a yt lady from Metairie, rolled her eyes at me.I called her out for being ableist.She then proceeded to tell me I was not in line, she didn't care that I can't stand or walk well, I was on welfare, then I was on drugs, and she yelled all of this in front of both employees,Who sat there SILENTLY and kept helping this woman, thenOFFERED TO CARRY HER FOOD OUT FOR HER,Giving her another opportunity to saunter out of the store mocking my disability.Unfortunately I only got the end on video, as well as the employees who acted unbothered.No, it's not enough to say oops. You were right there and you did NOTHING.If you are a DEI consultant reading this, call this business and see if they are ready to do their job and pay you to train them so disabled people aren't harassed at their business.

Great store for all of your plant and pretty needs. Great selection of specialty food formulas for pets with allergy issues. Highly recommend. Staff is super knowledgeable about their inventory.

Lovely choice of animal products but the best thing about this chain is ADOPTIONS! No milled small pets, just ones who need forever homes. And the care they show the guinea pigs at this location is incredible! They all have toys, hides, and information about the piggies to read up on. I can tell the staff really care.

I used the DIY dog wash station. It’s $15 which is the same price I have seen other places. It has a good set up. One downside is they limit you to 30 minutes and I have never seen a place with a time limit on the dog washing stations. The store is fine in general and most employees have been nice but when I checked out the employee at the register tried to charge me for the dog cookie that my dog ate OFF OF THE FLOOR! I couldn’t believe it! My jaw actually dropped. Not only was it on the floor but it was under a table so I didn’t even see it. Then she told me she would let it go just this one time but lectured me about how I was responsible for my dog in the store...

Wonderful! The prices are great! The employees are so knowledgeable. They have good organic food for pets at great prices. So much better than pet smart or pet co.. So happy they are right next to Trader Joe's. So very convenient. They have great coupons & rewards. Love it!

I work next door and had to leave a basket of things to run back to help a coworker. I wasnt free till 9:03 and told them I left a basket, and to just restock it and I'd grab it tomorrow and apologized. They were nice enough to let me run in and pay for my items even though it was after close. Much appreciated!

Another great store but in a different location. This store is located in a newly developed stripmall near Causeway Blvd.Here I find all the things I need to make for a happy home for my beloved pooch Sunshine. From toys to food to flea protection, this place is like the WalMart for all things pet ownership.The rewards program is totally a plus as most places don't reward you for spending money with them.Friendly staff are on-hand to assist & answer questions as needed. On this particular occasion, after purchasing Sunshine's flea & tick protection, I had questions about the rewards program & how it works. The sales associate was very patient in explaining the ins and outs; she advised of coupons and the like. I felt very informed as I exited.Pricing is fair.Parking is shared and is a bit of a challenge.

This used to be my go to place for pet food. However, prices are a bit high on some things.They are always out of the food I need. When I ask they say they are just selling out. They know their biggest sellers, but won't increase their orders on high selling products and want us to go to the main store on Jeff Hwy which is not convenient, so I just go to Petco.

Jefferson Feed has several locations throughout New Orleans and Jefferson and besides always having what you are looking for(if they don’t they will get it) the people working there are well versed in products, animals and customer service! What more is there to retail happiness!!

Came in with lots of questions, I think the young woman’s name was Claire. She was super knowledgeable about all the pets and was able to help me pick out the perfect thing for my pets. Really happy with the service I received. 🦄🐶🐣

I have five dogs, so I visit Jefferson Feed at least once a week. The staff is always friendly and knowledgeable, and their rewards program saves me money on food and other items. They have a good high end food selection and send out coupons so that I save something on most purchases. I also get every 13th bag of food for free. We will continue to use Jefferson Feed to help care for our four-legged family members.

Maggie was a God send she helped me with all my Flea needs for my cats. I bought Cap Shield Plus lets see if this works Im also spraying and bombing my Apt. We have. Never had fleas in 7 years with my inside cats. Maggie thank you so much for your Help. Im in still Need of help with the Fleas. It is so Crazy

I love going to Jefferson Feed. The employees really know the products and can help recommend food if you're overwhelmed or unsure about which brand is right for your pets. Plus they carry many brands that your regular chain stores such as Petco/PetSmart do not offer.
