The staff was great!! Very knowledgeable, helpful, & kind. We arrived 25 mins before they closed. They were not rude towards us or trying to rush us out the store so they could close. Our daughter informed us she needed something for her track meet the next day at the last min. Thank you for being kind and allowing us to get what we needed.

A little busier than normal, but the cashiers held their weight. The line was long with only 3 cashiers and they were still pleasant and courteous to their customers. Great shopping experience, great prices, I will definitely be returning

The store has received a nice remodel. The location looks so much better and easier to find what you are looking for especially when you can’t find anyone to help you as seen in photos. The store was really clean even the restroom however once again items in walk ways “trip hazards” could have been picked up but I guess at 4pm on a Monday the employees must have been at lunch lol. Even trying to check out people were M-I-A Over all I found what I was looking for at a average price and was happy for that. I would return to this location.

The manager in the sporting department helped me personally, and an associate, one older gentleman. I purchased a hand gun and ammo. The experience was absolutely fantastic. These two guys were truly knowledgeable of their work. The price was right on, truly thank you, Academy Sports.

Poor quality of items. I bought Adidas shoes for my son and they fell apart in a month. Because they aren’t in a box I was unable to return them.I worked retail and so has my husband for many years and we used the description from the receipt with the style number. The manager was not willing to do that.We spend lots of money as my kids are athletes and avid sportsmen.Was even about to get a credit card with them but I will not return to this store again if they can’t uphold their return policy.

Can y’all please hire people that actually want to work. Don’t even try to call because they don’t believe in answering the phones. I’ve seen them ignore, hang up, or set the phone on silent. Horrible customer service. This is from a customer and someone that use to deliver to their store.

They need to figure out their cashier issues in a hurry. This is third time recently that I’ve been there and the line was crazy long. Last time I made the mistake of getting in it and it took 20 minutes. This time I put my stuff down and walked out. Ordered it everything on Amazon instead. I saw at least two other people see the line and also leave.Update- Still Crazy long lines! Will have to start avoiding this poverty all together.

Most of the people who work at the place stand next to the cashier talking to each other. It wasn’t easy to find someone to ask about a price or size or to help getting a sweater from the high shelves

I had purchased a deer feeder that was not ringing up with the sale price that was posted on the box. The box was in the back warehouse and the sale price was from quite some time ago. The box had the sale price on it in two locations with two different stickers. While both stickers listed it as the same price, one sticker said it was a sale price the other sticker had it listed as the regular price but yet it kept ringing up as $20 more than the listed price. One of the store managers, Lori, went absolutely above and beyond to make sure that I was given the $20 off that was listed. Her kindness and thoroughness of making sure the customer was taken care of will certainly have me back there whenever I am shopping for something they have. Thanks Lori!

Nike, Under Armor, The North Face, Columbia, Adidas, Puma. Enormous, huge store. Sport clothings and anythibg for outdoor sports. So many choices.Even if you are not a sports person you must stop by.

Great deals and find here with name brands like Nike, under armour, Adidas, puma, north face, etc.The shoe section is... Such a disaster and a huge mess. Make sure you double check the prices and the shoes. Many people put shoes back in the wrong place and the wrong box

The large dark & blue young man working in the shoe department was so kind & helpful. Truly went above and beyond to help me and my friends find some excellent running shoes & even helped my friend use his phone to order some online. Amazing employee, don’t know much about shoes but whenever i need a new pair i’m going back to Ingram at this store.

The greeter was pleasant, I asked which area for the tennis shoes, she directed me, so once over their, the clerks were putting out stock on the shelves, so I asked one lady where were the Puma brand tennis shoes, first she was a bit peeved that she had to stop and answer me, by stating What? for who? I said female, she pointed me to the area, and in that isle was another younglady putting out stock, she proceeded to say very rudely, what u need, as if im in her way, if you could only see the faces she made. It sad that customers have to deal with such disrespect and have a negative experience after you have or will be spending your hard earned money. Have to do better. The cashier was a pleasant surprise almost made me forget about the negative fires.

I was in and out in no time. Sales associate was very helpful she brought me right to what I was looking for instead of just pointing in the direction. Plus I like the way they check you out. Next available cashier instead of waiting in the wrong line.

Honestly I've never been to an academy this bad where the employees were standing around talking and the clothing was just all over the place. They didn't have much on the shelves and even trying to find what we were looking for was hard because they were all thrown together and not separated.

Sunday afternoon is definitely not a good shopping time, here. 2 cashiers, 35 people in line. Workers everywhere, except behind the cash registers. Forget it. Went back to the gun counter... not busy, guy said... we can't check you out here, we don't have a register. Really? What's that sitting on your counter? Nevermind... I'll order online thx anyway.

The service is terrible1 cashier at 7pm. At least 15 people in line. Where is the manager? At least 3 people walked out after waiting 10 min. and the line didn't move. I get to the cashier and my item is not in the computer. So she can't check me out. REALLY? Needless to say they are swful.

I go to Academy Sports for supplies and I go there quite often. Chelsea the door greeter is very friendly and quite a character. Puts a smile on my face before I even start shopping. Thanks again.

I used to shop here for running and athletic shoes, but the variety and selection has gone down exponentially. And, the selection of bras is sad foe those who need actual support. Academy is, however, a good store for most of what I'm looking for athletically or for outdoors.

Good for the most part. Shoes were all over the place, but that's about any shoe store you go to anyway. None of the price scanners worked, at least while I was there. The employees are vert nice.

My dad and I went in to purchase him a weapon...the process for purchasing a weapon from this company is too complicated for an elderly computer challenged man that can not read well. The female employee said that we would need a third witness to witness me assisting my dad with his application...How inconvenient! Not only did my father feel embarrassed and put on the spot in front of her and the other male employee...both seemingly unapologetic...showing no empathy at all. She mentioned ATF would deny the application if they observed me assisting my father...I mean we were not purchasing a cheap weapon. Please consider changing the policy on how weapons are purchased to assist people that have literacy challenges and computer illiterate. I've never had to witness this type of bias policy at other locations or Virginia where I reside. I stand for and with the 2nd Amendment...regardless of those that misuse this right!!! Both employees should be retrained to effectively explain the store's process of weapons purchase prior to subjecting the public to subjected cynical bias. I attempted calling the store to speak with management and was placed on hold for over five minutes. I searched the web page for corporate information and was unsuccessful too. This was the only way to voice our experience at Academy Sport...Ms. Row

Best customer service I have experienced in a long time. I needed help finding an item the associate was right there . She took me to the item . Then I needed help reaching something and she was right there again . Nice people. Great sale too got the vest I wanted at a good price I ended up buying to vests. 2 different people helped me they were fantastic. I was told thank you on yhe way out that was nice . I went back the bext day and bought aGreat jacket as well the price was great.A good experience all around.

They are often the only game in town for some firearm-related purchases, but if you can wait it is better to order online and ship it.Don't come in here thinking it will be a quick trip, the line is always long, even if you come midday in the middle of the week.
