I've been passing through here since I was a kid & look fwd to it every time!!!!! I get a corn dog with chili, cheese and onions. Yes! A corn dog (not a hot dog)! And bc I don't come as often as I used to, I get a raised brow each time. LMBO!!!! Add to that a side of onion rings & a strawberry shake!!! They got the best soft serve in the entire world!!!! 😋🤤

We absolutely love this place, I thought I did a review on this not long ago but I guess I did not. I don’t get to make it out this way very often, but when I do, I have to remember to bring cash because that’s all they accept. Normally I wouldn’t go out of my way to to inconvenience myself for such a luxury. However, this is a childhood staple of mine. We mainly get the ice cream, how can you not. I only get a stop by about once every couple years, but when I do, it brings back so many memories. As long as the door stay open, and I happen to be in the neighborhood, you better believe I’ll be there!

This establishment has stood the test of time. One might complain that it's always busy, but that's a good thing. The ice cream is a must. (Four-legged family members love it, too!!) It is such a popular place that those who have moved from the area have it on their "must do" list when coming home again. UPDATE: It's so terrible when you haven't been in a while, and you do go only to discover that they are out of the chocolate ice cream!!

I have only had the ice cream 🍦 here. It is exceptional. I'll probably be stopping by here every time I'm in Louisiana. Couldn't take any photos cause it was a really hot day and the ice cream was so good, I didn't have time for pictures.

Best little burger and ice cream place in town! It's kind of off the beaten path but well worth the journey. The people who run it are friendly and treat you like they know you. The food is excellent and very affordable and they serve the best chocolate shake I've enjoyed in years. This place takes me back to the local burger joints I enjoyed in my youth. We will definitely be back!

Great place if you are not in a hurry. Everything is cook to order. Ice cream is great. Hot dogs are great. The rest of the menu can be hit or miss. Curly qs are good. It is a classic greasy spoon walk up shack. I like it, especially the ice cream.

Great as always! Phoned in order and it was ready when I arrived.Ladies are as wonderful as always!New face at window counter and she is great, too! Mom loves there burgers most.Parking: Huge parking lot with drive-thru window available. Customers at the walk-up window are always polite, friendly, and helpful with each other.

Normally a 5 star. Only get an ice cream. But today, oui, only 2 people in the drive-thru, the 1st one wasn't even ordering. He was just mesmerized by an employee that could figure out a Rubix cube over and over. Anyway, finally got to order, the Ice-cream made the aggravation melt away, slowly.

It's a great little town were the people are our down to earth and I guess it's people like me and so many other that help keep the place going by stopping by and getting a hamburger and coke.but I have to say the hamburgers are grate.

Standing in line on a Sunday at 7:15 to be told that they are only serving ice cream, which was fine because that's what I drove from Arkansas to get, then to be told that we aren't taking anymore orders. They don't close until 8:00 p.m. So disappointed!

Mer rouge is known for lots of corn fields and a little country store at the intersection of the 5 highways leading to town. Why drive an hour one way to get ice cream? Cause its that good. Wait time can be long as 30 minutes, cause its that good. Menu has a surprising large choice of items, including vanilla & chocolate soft serve ice cream. Recipe is a secret so dont both to ask, i did though. Yes, its that good.

We stopped here because of the reviews. It might be good if you come for the ice cream or hot dogs. Those seemed to be what most folks ordered. We ordered a cheese steak, fried shrimp, and a couple of burgers. The burger patties were small. The shrimp weren't great. We waited over an hour for the food to get ready. The cheesesteak ended up getting passed to someone else so we had to wait even longer for that to get remade. I will avoid coming here in the future unless I just want an ice cream cone... maybe.

We just happened upon this little ice cream shop on our road trip. Surprised to find they also had food. The ice cream was amazing! Best chocolate shake I've had in ages! My kids got the ice cream cones and those were delicious too! The workers were kind and patient. We sat outside on some picnic tables and snacked away. Would love to happen upon this place again!

They have the richest, creamiest ice cream ever! My parents would stop here for an ice cream when I was very young, and a few times throughout the years when we would be in the area. I love when you can go somewhere and it's as good as you remember. My daughter and I loved the ice cream!

Always had a good experience at Country Cream! Some of, if not the best, ice cream in the area! Tried their chili cheeseburger with onion rings while getting some ice cream today. It was delicious. Definitely must-go if you're in the area!
