Passing through and stopped for a few things. Deli assistant was helpful and polite but when I asked another employee where something was, she didn't say a word. Just pointed. Rude. The parmesan cheese I bought on the 16th of January had a best by date of March 7. Both containers had mold in them.

Easily the worst Walmart I've ever been to. Unhelpful staff, there's always something missing if I order delivery or pickup, tire center can't get anything right (ordered 2 identical tires, gave me 2 different ones), the list goes on. Avoid this place if you have other options.

Update: The new ways are beautiful.❤️‍🔥 Friendlier customer service,☺️ employees not acting as if they own the store.🤨 I know nothing is going to be perfect, but it's a better shopping experience now.❤️ It was beautiful to see whoever runs things actually listens to customers concerns.😌 You have a whole family of shoppers forever. All I ask is for a break sometimes on prices,🤑 can we get some deals sometimes hahaha. This inflation is killing us.😭 Oh wait sorry for the complaint coming: I bought some sweet potato pies on sale, and didn't enjoy it at all. They were literally bad. Can you tell your employees to put it on sale before it's not edible . That's kind of unfair! I spend my money and have to throw it away. Other than that. I love the new way! Great job. 👍🏾 😁😍

Remodeling the store, extremely difficult to find items on my list. Had to ask employees multiple times where things were moved to. It took 2 1/2 hours to get my groceries. Still couldn't find some items. Definitely need some signage and workers with a help station.

Walmart 911 has the absolute worst managers in the evening. I’m just not understand how such rude and unprofessional women can be promoted to managment. The African American manager with the curly wig and brown contacts just spoke to a customer in the worst way. I hate I had to witness it. Walmart do better!!

In the past 3 weeks I have never been so disappointed in this store. I know they are moving the store around but this is a total mess! They should be moving one section at a time but instead they are moving so many things at the same time that it is very unpleasant to shop there and I have been shopping there every week for 16 years now! I do not like anything about the store anymore and am truly feeling like this is going to make me choose another option of getting my shopping done every week. I also am not a fan of the self check out and feel like I am paying for my groceries so I shouldn't be expected to check them out myself; that's what employees should be doing and I'm not an employee; soon it will put people out of work! Just my thoughts for the day and good luck with your shopping everybody.

My visit had 2 purposes- Drop off a package at the FedEx store and pick up several bottles of the store brand Pedialyte, fresh razors and a couple of snacks.The visit to the FedEx store took only 3 minutes (2 minutes in line and 1 minute to give the Customer Service Rep the shipping label and the part I was shipping.I spent about 5 minutes picking up the other items I wanted and was leaving the parking lot on my way home.It appears there is a remodeling project getting underway and I'm not sure what's being changed or how long it will take to complete, so pack your patience and your manners because the employees have no say in the remodeling and can't change the schedule even if they wanted to.Have a plan, stick to it and remember- a smile and a positive attitude may just help the situation go a little quicker.

Walmart in Marrero, has never been a Walmart - I never wanted to shop at. That says a lot. If you know me, you would know that I cannot stand shopping in a place that you can buy clothes, get prescription eyeglasses, send off a FedEx package, and buy pork chops while getting a home entertainment center for the house. I will say that it is clean, neatly stocked, employees are very helpful, while the pharmacy is efficient. I utilized the self checkout lane to avoid the long lines and additional minimal conversation with others. I came with a friend for a baby shower gift...I thought the experience of going to Walmart was going to be painful 😖 but shopping for shower gifts proved to be excruciating. Hmmm, 🤔 Walmart.....I will be back!!!

Im not supposed to shop here because of some "cause" thats been spreading among white communities about exploitation of workers. But my Little Person aka Dwarf friend and subject of a documentary shops here. It allows his income to sustain his household. I went shopping with him and the clerks were nice, attentive, helpful and generous. I felt like I was in the twilight zone. Cant complain about a store where the help is this considerate.

Rockie was sooooooo helpful! Went above and beyond to help me get the right battery for my car key and taught me how to assemble it. I was surprised and so happy someone would take the time to do that. Thank you Rockie! Was a pleasure to meet you :)

Hear Hear - Bravo - many thanks to the customer service department and allthe employees involved with the safe storage and return of my cousin's wallet and all of the contents including every dollar that was originally there in the wallet - she and I are so very thankful and appreciative of the honesty and thoughtfulness 🙏 shown today - this experience involves so many words of a complimentary nature that I could use - it would take me all day to compose - I again say and or text that this has made both me and my cousin realize that there is still goodness and humanity in this world and among all of us - so again I say thanks to the wonderful employees of the Marrero Walmart and for the effort involved with reaching out to my cousin Jodie Delaune and to myself - you guys are simply the Best!!!!

I do all my grocery shopping here! Great prices and value for what I'm getting, especially when buying Walmart's Great Value brand. Our customer service at the Barataria-Lapalco location is usually very good. The lights are always working inside and in the parking lot, which is a big perk.

I bought a cake from here and it gave me food poisoning. Me and my boyfriend ate the same foods except he didn't eat the cake and he is fine. Im the only one who ate the cake and im the only one sick.

I don’t think I will go to this store again. I went to exchange lids to 50 gallon containers that I purchased. Ok, I get it, I purchased them in late January. However, I had been going back and forth to different Walmarts to get the lids that fit. I was in the middle of remodeling and removing black mold from the storm. So when I went in, the sales associate behind the customer service counter told me I needed a receipt. I explained to her that I closed out that account. I then explained that I didn’t want money back, all I wanted was lids that fit. She proceeded to tell me that they have a new policy that I can’t bring anything back without a receipt. Ummmmm… I think I told her before we stated that I just wanted lids that fit. But anyway, she had an attitude. So I asked for a manager. So while waiting, I asked for corporate’s phone number. I guess you know, they totally ignored me. Then one worker gave me a 1-800 number that was for online orders. So you see where this is going. So I called and explained to the representative on the phone what was happening. She then went on to say I will give you the number. So while she was on the phone, she heard me ask for a pen and a piece of paper. Of course you know, my answer was, we don’t have that. The representative on the phone said.. WHAT!!! This is a department store. What do they mean they don’t have pen and paper. She paused and said , we are writing a complaint right now. By this time, here comes the manager. She doesn’t introduce herself at all, nor does she seem willing to help me. Her attitude was nasty and her facial expressions were horrible. She even had the nerves to have an attitude with me because I asked for help. Not once was she apologetic nor say ma’am, let me see what I can do to help you resolve this issues. Instead, she turned to me and said what do you want me to do? You’ve been having them since January. Again, I just asked for the lids that fit. In the process, I continued to say, I will call corporate on the way you guys treated me and the nasty attitude you had with me. Truthfully, I think I was being racially profiled. And discriminated against because I’m Muslim. When she can out of the office her face was like she smelled a horrible odor. And after her candid remark, she said while she was turning away, I’m busy, I have to go. So take your bins. As you know, by now, I’m livid. But when I said I will call corporate on you guys, she went in the office and had someone search for the lids that fit. I said all of that, to say this. I was truly discriminated against! All she had to say from the beginning was was, let me see if I can get the lids to help you. And I’m sorry for the inconvenience of you going to 4 other Walmarts over that long of a period to find the lids. Instead, she took the road to be highly disrespectful to me and talk to me like I was beneath her. So I took my lids, went to my car, and called corporate. They need to be mindful of how they mistreat people. No, I’m not like the people on Facebook and TikTok, I take it above your head!

Horrible. My daughter cut her finger on something in the basket and it took 10 minutes for a manager to come and give us a bandaid. She didn't write up a claim so I had to go back to do it.

It's a walmart. Littered with people that wear clothes and hairstyles you would think never to go out in public with as the elderly wait on an electric wheelchair to become available while the person who weighs 300+ of body fat strain the chair's battery. 3/4 of the registers closed both manned and automated. This store has the rudest employees. I spend a lot of money here, but I am thinking of finding another store to get my food and non- food items! The only reason I go there now is because there are items I need that they don’t have elsewhere! If I could give zero Stars, I would!!!

I love it! But be warned if you use the self check out and forget your bag and someone behind you takes the bag with your purchase they do not help you with it. They say they can not help you. They looked on the camera seen what happened and still did nothing but say they could not do anything because I went threw the self check out.

Very very rude woman running the Black Friday deal in the garden center 8 am 11/12/2023. Yelled at me to get out of the garden center because they were doing a Black Friday thing . I just needed soil .

I give 4 stars, due to the fact that this Walmart is nice, but some of the employees need to be more cheerful or happier to work for the company. Also to be more helpful in certain departments.Also things need to be better organized on the floor, I already know of a person who has a lawsuit against a Walmart for this very reason, crates fell on him, he's a senior citizen as well.
