We love our vet so much! Nice clean facility with a friendly and knowledgeable staff. Even our animals enjoy their visits. The vet also takes care of my bearded dragon who is extremely healthy! I highly recommend this vet!

I have an older dog. I went to this vet and my dog was having problems.So I got an x-ray.The x-ray was $186.00 which was obsered.I recently had to bring my dog back with another issue.Dr. Joe tell me that he needed to have another x-ray.I agreed to thinking it would be $186.00 like before.This time the x-ray was $306.00.Dr Joe never tell you the cost first.When I questioned the cost with the receptionist she says I got a senior dog discount last time.The Bartaria Animal hospital clients need to beware.The cost of dog care here is ridiculous.I hope when you go this Facility ALWAYS ask how much it will cost.You will pay through your teeth.I will never return.

I've been going to Dr.Joe for over 20 years. He is the best, very nice and trustworthy. His staff is awesome too ❗ Luigi (my dog) does not give me any problems when it's time to go see them. I wouldn't trust any other vet with my dog.

Buster, our Beagle, loves to go to a spa day at Barataria Animal Clinic. He gets a bath, his paws clip and anything else that he may need a check on. Dr. Dalgo is so good with the animals & explains everything about your babies. Buster gets seizures and Dr. Dalgo has it under control & helped us make some good decisions at home for him & it has been awhile since he had one. Our first fur baby, Oreo, lived until he was 13 years, & Dr. Dalgo took good care of him. The staff is always friendly & helpful. I hope they are around for a long time. I would recommend them to everyone.

I am not even a client there I've been told that Dr. Joe is a great. When I called to get some info (I even let the receptionist know that I wasn't a client) about there services the receptionist was really rude. I asked how much the exam is and she was really rude about it. I also asked about what type of heartworm prevention they carry and she said that they don't carry any prevention and then quickly asked if there was anything else I would like to know in a very rude way. I told her I will not be bring my pets there. If the receptionist rude I can't imagine what the other staff is like. I have 2 senior dogs and one of them is on tons of medications for his heart murmur. So lets just say I won't be going there and looking else where.

As a first time pet owner I was unsure where to take my puppy. I tried another office before BAH but was very unhappy with it. I was referred to Dr. Joe by a friend. It has been all wonderful thus far. His fees are very reasonable but his care of my pet is extraordinary. His staff is friendly and helpful.

Have had the pleasure to know Dr. Joe, and his staff for the past 22+ years. Our relationship started when we brought our beloved puppy "Nelly" home, and extended through her 19 years of life. During that time, Nelly faced many challenges, and Dr. Joe was always there to see her through them all. After 3 years since losing our Nelly, we have a new puppy "Dorey", and there isn't anyone I would trust her care to than Dr. Joe, and his staff.

The receptionist is extremely rude. My cat has been on a daily medication for years. I called in the prescription today at 9 am and was called after 4 pm to be told that she needed to be seen before it could be refilled. I explained that I was out and she said it didn't matter. I should have been informed of this so I had time to bring her in and not have her go without it. I asked if they were really going to let her go without her medication and she said yes. This wasn't the first time she's been rude but it will be the last.

They took my dog when 2 other vets around here wouldnt take him for an emergency. The doctor and staff were the best. I am so grateful that they helped me and my dog out as best as they could with the situation. Sadly I had to put my dog to sleep and they helped me get through the whole process with him till the end. They really are the best.
