This place is in a shopping plaza, so plenty of parking.They have a puppy program that comes with free items! See my picture to see what's all included.Inside they have a koi pond and if you have small kids you can ask to feed them. Our kids love this.I wish they had a bigger selection of fresh water fish, but overall I really like this place.

The employees of the fish department pretend you aren’t there so that they can get their stuff done. I got tired of waiting with a line of people in front of me for them to pay attention to us and get what we wanted. The selection of stuff here is good, but not a friendly place for a hobbyist.

Awesome store with tons of specialty brands that you can't find anywhere else! It is a little pricey, but that's pretty standard for a locally owned store, and I'm definitely willing to pay a bit extra to support local.

I Absolutely love this store, staff were extremely friendly and helpful, felt like family the koi pond is my favorite. freshwater fish , parakeets, pet food in all pet all pet supplies. I highly recommend this store.

Aggressive loose dog(s) in store warning:Stopped by with my dog after her medvet appt. to check out the collar selection. There were two loose chihuahuas that approached my dog, barked at her, then lunged at her and tried to bite her. Most of the aggression was from the darker chihuahua. I ended up picking the dog up and physically moving it across the store. The owner/cashier at the time didn't even get up to help or stop the dog from barking or biting. They just nonchalantly called the dog, who didn't even come to the owner.I don't understand why any store would allow loose dogs around a store if they were dog aggressive, no matter how small the dog is. I would highly recommend that you do not bring your pet or child inside at this location, especially if you don't want to make your dog dog-reactive or create a fearful child.Another issue is that pricing on their chalkboard signs are not true to what rings up at the register, so be careful when you check out if you decide to go. I used to really like this store, but I think this is, unfortunately, where we part ways.

Great store and great staff. I will say I wish they had a little bit larger selection of Freshwater fish/things, but overall good place to go. They can order many different things, just gotta ask!

Adventure Pets is the place to go for quality pets and great service. I recently bought 2 of the sweetest cockatiels. They were well-bred, very tame, and they bring me such joy. As a pet sitter for 11 years, I have a great deal of experience with many varieties of birds, and these were top quality. They came with a health certificate showing they had been checked for diseases, viruses and DNA gender determination. I couldn't be more pleased.

New store looks great! I hadn't gotten fish for my aquarium in a while and decided to check out the new location. Though the stock was still limited from the move, the fish they did have all looked happy and healthy. I got five and they're all very active and eating well. Feels good to help out a local small business too. Great little store :)

I got my cockatiel from here, and it’s my go to place for anything pet related. The staff is all knowledgeable and friendly (emphasis on knowledgeable and friendly) and I love coming here. If you want to get a bird I highly recommend here, they have everything to give your bird a great life and more! We’ve gotten birds before but the birds here are much friendlier and tamer!

Amazing customer service!! I love this place! They are always extremely friendly and helpful, you can see their smiles even through the masks (THANK YOU FOR WEARING THEM!) My 5 year old was absolutely blown away that she was able to touch a bird today! Such a fun experience for her. Many thanks to the sweet staff member that asked if my girl would care to interact with the bird. I wish I would have gotten her name. We went in for a Betta fish, food and water conditioner and came out ALL smiles because she had her pet fish "Moon" (which will likely change...it has like 4 times now) AND she got to touch and attempt to hold a real bird! Oh and she adores the Koi pond that greets you when you enter! Thanks for everything, you guys are truly great at what you do. Also, thanks for caring for those less fortunate in the community and donating to the Pet Food Pantry. <3

Just got the sweetest pet rat from them today and he's the best! They know where their animals come from and it's not from mass breeders which makes such a difference. Their animals are handled daily and young. Their quality of everything is unmatched. Wish there was more places like this that cared so much about every animal in their care :)

I went for the first time ever and I was seriously impressed. Their animals looked amazing and seemed to be really well cared for. I went specifically because I heard their avian section was really good. When I checked out the avian isle, I was seriously impressed. The birds were all really friendly, especially Dewey the bird. I even got to meet two really knowledgeable and friendly sales associates who helped me pick out foraging toys for my new bird. I will definitely be coming back as a regular guest!

I wanted to get fish for my kid but didn't know where to start so I came here and I must say, I was very impressed with the customer service here. Mr. Jayy in the aquarium department helped me throughout my whole process, from finding my tank and decor to getting the right beginner fish and even went as far as to test my tank water for me after a month of being setup, to make sure I was ready for fish. I had soooo many questions and he made sure to answer them all and informed me on how to care for the fish properly. So far everything is going well and my fish are still alive. Highly recommend this place!! Thank you Jayy and Everyone at Adventure Pets👍🙂

I popped in to see about purchasing a pet for my daughter. While they didn't have exactly what we were looking for, I was treated very well and given great recommendations. Even though I didn't spend more than a few dollars on this visit, I will return in the future based on the customer service I received.

I love shopping here, and even bring kids I babysit just to break up the day. They love feeding the koi fish and picking out treats for their dogs!! Support local!!

First time here. Called about tarantulas and set ups. Found out they have them. I went over. Made a day out of it with my right hand man. Very smart 6 year old. The people at the register where on point with the greeting. The women working the rabbit area was super nice answering all my kids questions. The person I was directed to speak with about tarantulas was either intimidated or didn't really know as much as I was told she did. That's fine I've been researching for the last six months. Was able to find a nice enclosure and some stuff to put inside. I will go back but probably keep to myself and get my questions answered through books and research online.

Got a few guppies to add to my established planted tank and they all died within 24 hours. What a shame. Not going to drive 30min just to get more fish that will likely die too. The tanks were in poor condition, I should’ve known better by the dead fish at the bottom of most of them. Lessons learned!

I had an awesome experience from the time I walked through the door. The young guy that helped me with fish was knowledgeable and friendly, as well as gentle with the whole catching and bagging, which to me is the most important thing. The lady that checked me out was also super sweet. They have a huge for selection of pretty much everything. I will definitely be back.

My son bought a bearded dragon. He is the sweetest thing. They always have live bugs available. I drive 35 min to come to this store. Their staff is the best. Store is so clean and always have what I need even after IDA! Why shop corporate unfriendly stores when you can shop at the best locally owned place ! I do recommend to everyone

It was a very pleasant event for me. Being an elderly woman who has difficultly walking, the employees went out of their way, helping find and advising a Christmas gift for my great grandbaby Bugsy, yes a rabbit! The clerk was very patient with me. I even got my 2 other great grandbabies some special doggy treat. Once at the register, I both a certificate for 50 dollars to help my grandson with Bugsy's expenses. He's a college student with little income. The young man told me he would carry my purchases to my car. Oh I forgot, I bought bird feeder and wanted another one, so he ordered one. He was so nice and helpful. As we walked out the door, he even help me off the curb. He held out his hand so I would not fall.Now that's custmer service, you don't find that anymore. The employer should recognize the effort he made.

Love the new location! I've been going to Adventure Pets for years and its my favorite pet store. They actually care about the animals unlike the big box stores. The owners are active members in my church and just the nicest people you could ever meet. I was in there today looking at shrimp and the younger blonde dude was very helpful and knowledgeable. Great store!

The staff at the mandeville location seem to not know much about fish. I've heard on two different occasions wrong information given to new fish keepers. Also selling fish to customers who purchased a fish bowl for a tropical fish that needed way more then cold water in a bowl to survive. Not a word was said to try and save the fish from certain death. I would expect more from a mom and pop place. Not to mention their tanks are hardly ever clean.

Awesome selection and super friendly, knowledgeable staff! Shop here regularly and have done so for years. Never a bad experience. You may find some items cheaper at big box pet stores, but we prefer supporting local businesses when they can provide a valuable difference. With Adventure Pets, it's the friendly, KNOWLEDGEABLE staff that earns them our repeat business. They even offer a frequent buyer discount program for our preferred brand of dog food. We drive 10 miles out of our way past several big box pet stores to shop at Adventure Pets for our dog food and supplies.

Went in with my 6 year old grandson for canned food and treats for my road trip back to Ca with my 11 year old American Bulldog. Good selection, friendly and helpful staff, one of the staff gave my grandson koi food to feed the beautiful, large koi in their fishpond. Overall a good atmosphere. I will be back when I am back in town, recommended the store to my daughter and son-in-law. Oh! and great with children.

Brought a hamster for my daughter for her birthday, less then 2 week later we found it dead, went to the store explained to the employee what happened, they gave us another hamster, free of charge, 1 week later we find the hamster dead.Not sure if it's due to their breeder or what, but I wouldn't recommend getting a hamster from here.They staff is super friendly and helpful, and I'll continue to buy my dogs flea collar from them, but that's about it.
