I stayed at Hotel Cazan last weekend and was so pleased with the hospitality that Ms. Valerie provided. The room was cozy and she went above and beyond to make sure that I had everything I needed. I did stay in Room 13 and the bed was so comfortable that, even if a ghost did try to mess with me, I slept through it. The hotel is full of art and interesting artifacts. It was fun to just look around! It is right across the street from the famous Fred’s Lounge. There is also a bakery a few doors down that has awesome cheesecake. I highly recommend Hotel Cazan. It is, by far, the best hospitality I’ve ever experienced…and I worked in the hospitality industry for more than 15 years. So, go see Ms. Valerie, you won’t be disappointed!

Stayed last weekend. Went to the World Famous Fred’s for some early morning Cajun Music on Saturday. Then headed over to Washington Antique School mall. Finished off Saturday with live Cajun music at The Barn at Lakeview. Hotel is located near several local shops, bars and eateries. Room was cozy and comfortable. Stayed in the ship room! We’ve rented a space here in the past but this was my first stay overnight. The ladies make sure you are comfortable and offer great hospitality!

My kind of place! Seeking the unique, with a touch of the paranormal? Perfect for writers, historians, explorers. Ask about why Morgan Freeman was interested in the hotel. Oh, and also the final confession of Euzebe Vidrine- still have my copy and will get a story or a painting out of it someday. The hotel is ideal for enjoying Fred’s Lounge, too.

As soon as I walked in I was greated with a smile and the most friendly welcome. Staff was amazing and friendly. Very helpful even when it wasn't asked for (on my part) which was gladly accepted with my hands full with a dog and bags. The room was super cute!! Absolutely loved the extra mile with the lights. It was very quite so we were able to get much needed sleep. Super clean.

If you are looking for a Bed and Breakfast experience without the breakfast, this is the place. Beautifully appointed rooms. However, the room was about $130 in 2017, so I wouldn't consider it value lodging. Several good choices nearby for breakfast and lunch, but for dinner, you may need to go to a bar on some days. No coffee maker in the room.

This is a great place to stay. I was bicycling through Mamou and was pleased to call this place home for the night. The people who own and run this place are very kind and treated me like family. A nice surprise was the excellent band playing next door. This is a very friendly place and should I be in the area again, I will certainly stay here. I almost forgot to mention, the room was perfect! Very clean and comfortable. Thanks.

They treated us well at the hotel Cazan. It's a kitschy place run by actual humans and we enjoyed the social nature of the place- you may actually get to know someone instead of maintaining total anonymity! We showed up around noon on Saturday to inquire- we had no reservation- and were greeted warmly, shown the couple remaining rooms and were checked in immediately and given the option of checking out late.We slept in the bird room (right on 6th Street) on a Saturday night and I was able to fall asleep no problem. If you are sensitive to noise though, I would suggest taking the advice we were offered of sleeping in a room around the corner because people know how to party! I think it’s a bit pricey.

Wonderful place to stay. Early 1900s bank modernized and sweetly updated to hotel. Clean, nicely appointed Staff super friendly. Valerie's great. In room TV s with cable &Netflix but screen is small. Shower heads take you to the end of the rainbow.

Staff is extremely helpful. Helped carry our bags to our room, and provided us a safe place to store our bicycles overnight. Also invited us to their opening night of the bar. Lots of fun! The room was very comfortable and clean.

Fantastic boutique hotel with a fun, quirky atmosphere. The people are super nice and top-notch - they knew where to go and what to see! Comfy, immaculately clean rooms w/smart TVs. Can't wait to go back!

This boutique hotel is a trip back in time. It is historically restored and kept in excellent condition. The owner and staff make you feel as if you live there. Plenty of Cajun music, Cajun history and other genre's of music, food and culture in and around Mamou. I will be bringing friends and family in the future. The cleanliness and service make it a pleasurable retreat.

I absolutely loved it! Great homey feeling to the whole place. The fact that the bathroom lit up when the toilet was used or the shower was going or even the sink! Nice rooms , great atmosphere! I loved and will be coming back in a few weeks !

This really is the place to stay in Mamou, Gail on the desk was super friendly and accommodating and couldn’t have been kinder. I was surprised by the eclectic lobby area -which I think is cool - the rooms are very nice. Overall great stay.

The friendliest staff of any hotel I have ever been to. Doesn’t have a hotel feel but more of a at home feel. The rooms were very large and cozy. Everything was perfect. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone.

Good place to stay beds are clean and comfee. Bring your own bathroom supplies as there is none provided. They do provide towels. No coffee pots in room but there is a icebox to keep stuff cold. No ice maker. But if you ask they can get you some stuff.

Great welcome at the Hotel Cazan. VCookies and banana. Got in after a along ride. Many thanks. Just looked at the receipt this morning and see I was charged $100. Was lead to believe I was getting a discount. Very disappointed. Putting the loarded bicycle into a storing room was a pain - Most amount I paid on a motel after being on the Southern Tier two months. I missed camping in a thunderstorm last night but if I was going to spend $100, would be glad to tent.

WE LOVE HOTEL CAZAN! Hotel Cazan was the perfect location to explore Acadiana though we didn't want to leave Mamou because of the royal treatment we received from the locals and Hotel Cazan with its clean rooms, comfy beds, good hot showers, paranormal bathroom lighting, in-room mini-fridges, bluetooth light bulbs, funky decor and vibe, delicious hot coffee in the mornings, and folks who treat you better than family. The Krazy Kajun Café for breakfast and lunch and several bars are all within easy walking distance. Thank you Valerie, Camille, Jonathon, Brent & Robert for the warm welcome, good care, healing laughs and hugs, and a fun weekend with lasting memories. No one does it better! We can't wait to return for another stay.

I stopped off in Mamou Louisiana on a cross country bicycle tour, knowing that on my budget I could only afford one hotel stay in the three months of backpacking between California and Georgia, so I had to choose wisely. If you have one chance from coast to coast to get a good night's sleep in a hotel, this is the one. The building is steeped in history, you'll get a tour of some amazing rooms preserved from past eras, the staff is incredibly friendly and helpful, the rooms come with full access to Netflix among all the amenities, including complimentary coffee in the morning, and it's in a prime location on the main drag of Mamou. If you're passing through that part of Louisiana and looking for a place to stay, Cazan is hands-down your best choice.

A quaint unique outstanding location in the heart of cajun country! Creative decor unlike any other stay within 150 miles. Oh and as a bonus! Haunted!!👻👻👻. If you find yourself craving cajun music, food, and hospitality the there is no other option.
