Today was my first visit and I was pleased with the services from start to finish! My puppy and I received a warm welcome at the door, followed by paperwork, and many cuddles from techs in between testing. Dr. Moores was great. He was gentle with our new puppy during her vaccine and nail trim, took his time to explain how to properly care for her, and addressed any concerns I had as a new pet parent. I will definitely be bringing her back ❤️

Amazing staff!! Very reasonable prices. We recently had an injured pet. They fit us in same day as a new patient. Dr Brown explained everything in a way that we understood and answered all of our questions. Wish I remembered the vet tech’s name, she was so nice! Highly recommend if you’re looking for quality affordable care.

I switched to Tchefuncte Animal Hospital a few years ago after my standard poodle, Delta, had a health scare. Our regular vet had no same day appointments. Tchefuncte Animal Hospital saw Delta the same day, no questions asked. I was so impressed that I immediately switched and we’ve been going here ever since. As a first time dog mom, I have had a lot of questions and honestly a lot of “I can handle this on my own” moments when in reality I could not handle it on my own. Dr. Moores and Ferrero take time to answer my questions, provide gentle guidance and reassurance to me, all while providing top notch care to my girl. Also, the staff are amazing. I am sure Michelle knows my voice by now. She always takes time to talk me through whatever I question I have over the phone. Anyway, I could keep going but I’ll stop now. Take your fur babies here. You won’t regret it.

Our pug, Daisy, sees Dr. Moores and has seen Dr Ferrara twice. We love the Doctors and everyone else at Tchefuncte Animal Hospital; we don't think it's possible to find better care for pets. The staff is always caring and concerned about our needs as well as Daisy's.11/29/23Sadly, we lost our pug, Daisy, in December 2019 and we now have another pug, Bailey who came to live with us in April 2020. Bailey is also a patient of Dr. Ferrara and, as previously stated, we love everyone at Tchefuncte Animal Hospital. Bailey is always happy to visit and be boarded; she loves all of the staff and doctors.

Dr. David Moores is excellent. Our Weimaraner puppy had a rare condition called juvenile cellulitis, also known as "puppy strangles". Dr. David was very thorough in his approach and quick care!HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!

I just wanted to thank TAH for the excellent caring for my dog for many years the staff and the veterinarians or the best around if there was ever a place you wanted to bring your pet to be treated would be there I especially want to thank Veterinary and David who was his special veterinarian there he passed on this Saturday David was there and his staff member who cried with me at my time of departing my dog lived to be 18 years old and one month and the reason I had him was because of them they are the best around and the most compassionate and caring veterinarian you could have imagine thanks so much again Jude varuso

You need to correct the person that works at the front desk. We called today around 1:30PM and the lady was extremely disrespectful and rude, and was unwilling to get us scheduled for a Saturday appointment and check-up.We have decided to switch to a different veterinarian because of this situation.

The staff here are simply amazing. Loosing my good girl Jade was one of the hardest things my family has gone through. We were shown such kindness and compassion. They did absolutely everything they could and I couldn't ask for more. We are so thankful for be worked in yesterday. Dr.Brown and the entire staff are extremely professional, Caring and down right amazing. From the phone call to make the appointment to the moment we left they took excellent care of our girl while giving us so much comfort and explaining the situation to us. I boarded my baby Molly here when I went on vacation. Molly is a handful. She is active 24/7 and sleeps maybe 30 minutes at a time. She is the happiest baby I have ever had and wants to love everyone. I called everyday to check on her and the staff was never upset that I called. The kennel techs laughed when I said she gives hugs because they had already found out. Some of the techs told me that I needed to get her a kiddie pool because they were playing with her outside in their kiddie pool and playing with her with the hose and Molly loves water. Molly had the best time ever there and I was so happy to know she was loved on, played with, and interacted with during her entire stay. I had boarded Molly elsewhere previously and did not have the same results. I live in Kenner and I will always drive across the Causeway to board Molly at Tchfuncte Animal Hospital because I know she was taken care of and spoiled just as if she was home. I cannot thank the doctors and team enough for their love of Molly and how amazing she was treated!!!

Dr. Moores and Dr. Ferrara care for our four Australian Shepherds and two cats . Our 8 year old Australian Shepherd needed knee surgery in December and they provided him with excellent care. This week, when it became clear that our 15 year old Aussie, Baloo, could no longer stand and needed the stairway to heaven, we hoped that we could arrange for the vet to come to our house. Instead, my husband, son and I went to the clinic. Dr. Ferrara was incredibly sensitive to our needs. I was expecting a rushed clinical setting. Instead, they transformed a treatment room into a place where we felt comfortable and there was no pressure to rush us through the emotional process of saying goodbye to our beloved Baloo. If we disrupted their schedule, they never, ever gave us a clue. Letting go of the beloved family pet is hard, but they gave us the TLC that we needed.

Normally I love them. They are usually very kind, helpful, and loving towards my bunny. I did have a not so great interaction with the receptionist there. She treated me like I was stupid when I asked for a wellness check for my bunny because I recently adopted him. When I called to cancel because I was unhappy with the interaction, she acted like it was no big deal to lose my business. I love everyone else in that place. I just wish there was a manager I could talk to to discuss it with.Update: I was contacted about the interaction. They took care of me, and treated me with respect. Highly recommend!

Tchefuncte Animal Hospital provides professional care for our two dogs. The vets are always nice and thorough. They never rush through a visit and they genuinely care for our animals. They have appointments available on Sat - which is exceptionally convenient for two working parents. For certain procedures they even allow us to drop our dogs off before work (7:00 am) and pick up after work without charging extra. They are also aware of family budgets - offering several alternatives for monthly heart worm, flea and tick. They are always upfront about the costs - no surprises on your bill. We definitely recommend them!

Our girls Madison and Graci have been patients of Tchefuncte Animal Hospital for several years. Our girl Madison, became ill with several medical conditions. She was so well cared for in all aspects of her illnesses. Unfortunately her illnesses became worse and the dreaded decision was made to let her go so she would no longer suffer. The staff is pleasant and always displays compassion and empathy which we needed at that time. Dr. Laura is amazing in many ways especially her doctor skills and knowledge. She too, displays compassion and empathy which was very comforting when we lost our baby. Graci continues as a patient. We would never go anywhere else. My husband and I have been taking our cocker spaniel to Dr. Ferarra for 4 years, and she has been nothing but responsive to our dog's needs. He likes going to the vet to visit with all the vet techs that take such good care of him. When I call for a refill or to set an appointment, calls are answered promptly and his medicines are always ready when I come pick them up.

When we moved to Madisonville and were looking for a new vet, Tchefuncte Animal Hospital came highly recommended from friends. Dr. Ferrara and Dr. Moores are fantastic. They’re so thorough and knowledgeable. We can always get in when we need to. And, they offer discounts on all their heartworm and flea/tick treatments through their website. Dr. McConnell is great! She is very knowledgeable and thorough-not to mention so nice! She is absolutely the best vet. We have seen other vets to treat our dog’s limp and no one could figure out the cause of the problem until now. One appointment with Dr. McConnell and the mystery is solved! She not only found the cause of the problem, but also gave us great treatment options that we could start that day. I would recommend her to anyone.

Dr. Moores was highly recommended to me when I moved to Covington. My dog, Dasher, has been cared for by Tchefuncte Animal Hospital for 2+ years and I have been very pleased. A month or so ago I thought I had lost Dasher. He was in very very bad shape, trouble breathing, could hardly walk. Dr. Moores saved his life. He treated him at the office and sent him home with meds to which he has responded well. I am extremely grateful for the care Dasher has received. Dr. Moores considered many factors in his recommendations and treatment. Dasher is doing great now. The office staff is very kind, caring and efficient. The office is clean and pleasant. I've also seen Dr. Mikelonis. He was very helpful and I appreciated his recommended course of treatment and it has worked out well. Thanks!

Yesterday, as i arrived home from work, my 22 year old cat (Winston) started to aspirate and breath very heavy and uncontrollable. I immediately contacted Tchefuncte Animal Hospital (which is not my normal animal hospital) in panic and the lady i spoke to handled the situation in such a professional and kind hearten way. She said that the Doctor had already left since it was late and that she would call him back in. Mind you, I used to bring Winston to another clinic, so this would be his first and last time going to a veterinarian.Yesterday evening was Winston's last visit and he took his last breath and i already miss him dearly and its only been one day. But, the Doctor confirmed that he had passed and said that he lived a much longer life than most cats. The Doctor was extremely professional and empathetic to my feelings and put Winston in a box for me. I cannot say enough about Tchefucte Animal Hospital. They are great people no doubt.What i can say is that from last night moving forward, they have gained a new customer and patient (my other cat Woody). I will now use this hospital given how they handled my rough and sad day.
