Petco in Lake Charles is one of the best Grooming experiences me and yes I will speak for my dog Ollie has ever had.I had previously used private grooming services but the entire staff was professional and did a great job.I very seldomly rate things but this was a special experience.

Got a new puppy and first stop was Petco in Lake Charles Louisiana. Had a pleasant experience and the workers there are very nice. I’ve been back 2 more times until now and will definitely go back again.

There ok the prices are pretty high compared to other places like chewy and regular stores like Walmart some things when compared cost two times what someone else has it for.

I went in with my granddaughter just to buy one small goldfish. The young man associate asked me if I had everything set up to put the goldfish in. I told him I had a goldfish bowl with water in it at home waiting. He refused to sell me the one goldfish because he said the fish needed a bigger & better place to live in. Needless say, my granddaughter was disappointed.

We went in to buy our 6-year-old twins a gold fish and met one of the employees who is very knowledgeable of all their pets and advised us on a better purchase than fold fish. She set us up with the tank and the knowledge we needed to set it up properly for the care of the fish. We will be going in next Friday to actually purchase the fish for the tank. We stopped in again and ended up buying a bearded dragon for my wife, and again, she knew exactly what we needed and how to care for it. We were greatly informed before we left on how to care for the animal. I will definitely do all my bying at this location and with this employee. She gets a 10 alone for her knowledge of the pets in the store.Yet again, Ari is amazing. She set us up everything we needed for our hamsters. To date we now have 2 hamsters, a leopard gecko, and our bearded dragon all thanks to miss Ari because of her knowledge of the pets and the setting you up with what you need the first time.

It's been awhile since we have been here. Was kinda disappointed in availability of items.Location: across from the mall on prien lake. Private parking lot. Plenty of space.Atmosphere: no bad odors. Fairly clean. Animal enclosures looked fine. There were boxes piled in front of the cat area but I don't think they had any cats this day. Well lit and organized by pet.Service: didn't interact with anyone. Only saw cashier and groomer.Animals available: fish, tarantula, lizards, Bearded dragons, snakes, hamsters, chinchilla, mice, rats, Guinea pigs, hairless Guinea pig, birds, sometimes cats, occasionally dogs (usually a scheduled event).Items: we went looking for dog harnesses but they really didn't have much. We basically only had 2 options for our large dog, so we left to look elsewhere. They also have grooming supplies, beds, kennels, toys, some collars, treats, food, cat litter, small pet cages, dust bath supplies, running wheels, tanks, bedding, aquarium supplies, meal worms/crickets, etc.Prices: a little on the high end for supplies and food. We hardly ever buy dog food here. Sometimes treats are on sale.Overall, it's okay. We usually leave empty handed due to availability/prices.

I was trying to find warm apparel for my yorkie and Petco happened to have fall apparel 50% off the original price. Ended up getting a sweater for my dog and didn't have to spend alot. ($7) :)

We love petco. We have several animals and they are much cheaper to care for through petco. We have purchased bird toys as well as feeder mice for our ball python.

I am so unpleased! The groomer was so rude, which is something that i had never experienced at petsmart. Never going to this petco again. The costumer service is so bad, very rude people here. Discrimination againt MY PET! Like what?? The groomer acted like dogs understand like humans do. She also did such a bad job on matting my dog. Petsmart is way better. If i could give 0 stars would be better.

There is a conure in the store with no toys and a single perch that is made from material a bird should never sit on. We have been watching and asking this conure be taken better care and management refuses. If you live in this area, please ask management to do better.

Renea was so awsome just now. We picked out this huge ball launcher and it went 90 ft and we didn't know they had smaller launchers. She saw it while we were checking out and told us about it. She actually went to find it for us to help us save money. It was the way better product and we couldn't be more grateful for her advice. Thanks Renea! Your an amazing person and we appreciated the kindness ❤️

No one bothered to see if we needed help however when I asked for assistance the gentleman was very friendly and knowledgeable. All of the fish looked healthy except for a couple that were in the same tank together. They had just received a shipment of new fish so their selection was actually pretty good. The cashier was super sweet and I believe I may have inadvertently convinced her to get another fish tank lol.

This store in unkept, and the customer service is terrible. I would advise the team to do a better job with making sure items that are marked for sale in the aisle's also reflect so at the time of the transaction.

Went in trying to get puppy pads that STICK, thus explaining to the employee my problem. She brings me to a $30 pack of 30 XL puppy pads that DONT STICK. So I still gave three stars because in all honesty she was very polite and only trying to help. Regardless, double-sided tape it is.
