Hands down, a great place to take your pup!My Giant Schnauzer had a blast during his board and train week. You're able to watch your pup play on camera. He didn't seem to miss me at all lol.If you're looking for one on one training, Katie is top-notch!Grooming is also a plus! My pup had his first cut here and looks perfect.

Very unhappy customer here. I paid to have my husky groomed and picked her up all chopped up with a lot of long hair still hanging. Toe nails were not trimmed or the hair between her paw pads were never cut. She still smelled like a dog, so I wonder if she even got a bath. After the $85 charge, I was told that I needed to pay an extra $15 because my dog didn't cooperate with the handler. Really?? I won't go back. My 11 year old granddaughter could do a better job than what I paid for today! I posted pictures here to show you the results of my trip to "The Dog Stop"!

My dogs love going in to visit the Dog Stop. They've been taking lessons with Ms Katie and we've been extremely happy with the results. It's nice to find a place that will do 'pay as you go' as opposed to buying a $300+ package. My husband loves watching the dog cams when they're in daycare. The prices are very reasonable and in line with others in the area. We love the Dog Stop 💜💙 Evie & Captain

I love how excited Winnie is to arrive at The Dog Stop! When the front door opens, manners seem to stay outside—she darts to the white gate and impatiently waits, in the cutest & most excited way possible, for the employee to open the gate and take her back. In their defense, she gives them zero seconds to check her in and open the gate. Winnie is always happy when we pick her up and falls asleep on the car ride home. The access to cameras brings tons of comfort for this dog mom’s heart.

We took in our Maltese and they shaved off almost all his hair. I know we wanted it short but why would you trim the face? Ex ctly what makes him look like a Maltese!?Had I seen the dog before we paid I would not have given a dime.

Great place for dogs to play and socialize. I have the monthly plan and it is so convenient to drop my dog off each morning before I go to the office. My dog loves playing with her canine and human friends every day, and I feel safe knowing that she's in good hands when she is there.

This was our first time taking our mini goldendoodle for a haircut. She came home looking great. The staff was friendly and welcomed me as soon as I walked in. The responded to questions even after hours. I was shocked to see how much retail is sold here. I will probably give the dog beer a try!If we ever need boarding or a daycare, this will probably be the place. We will take our Maltipoo also

My pup got his second bath and deshedding at this location today & he’s looking sharp! He’s a short and stocky mixed breed with short hair but a crazy thick undercoat. I couldn’t have done a better job myself!

Such a friendly staff. Scheduling an appointment for a bath for both my dogs was so easy online. My dogs weren’t stressed when I picked them up and that made for a happy dog mom. We will be back.

I have been bringing my dog to The Dog Stop for about 4 years now. We used the location in Metairie, LA and now since moving to Lafayette, LA we are using this location. The transition was seamless and the staff is wonderful. We have utilized them for boarding, grooming and day care.

Absolutely the worse experience ever. I specifically spoke with 3 different people before scheduling my two schnauzers to be groomed. The scheduler “ I do not want their beards cut” matter of fact don't touch the beard at all. At drop off. Again “Do not touch their beard” they called to tell me my male schnauzer had matting on his legs which I was aware of. They asked if it was ok to shave his legs and skirt. I agreed and again SPECIFICALLY said do not touch his beard. And my reason for being so specific is because they have been to a groomer in the past and it seems that NOBODY gets it. They just chop the beards up leaving a horrible choppy look. I’ll leave photos tell me what you think. There is no way I’m overreacting. A schnauzer’s beard takes 6-10 weeks to even begin to grow back, and it’s never the same. They don’t even look like schnauzer’s anymore. I wish I could have put Zero stars

My dog is always very well taken care of at this place. It gives me peace of mind, not having to worry about him. And it's not just from one worker. Everybody is so nice and so good to him. I love that they know my dog by his name!! And they know his special needs. I feel very confident that the workers there are trained and would do their best to make sure my dog has a safe and wonderful experience while he is in their care. And also as a bonus, the fact that they groom him there is so awesome !!! very convenient for me. I definitely would refer this place to family and friends.

Dog caught Kennel cough. Paid for 4 nights VIP treatment/kennel. Nails were barely clipped and my poor baby smelt terrible! An I paid for a departure bath. That smelt horrific!

Very helpful and kind staff members. Our dog Annie is a sweet girl who gets a case of IBS when she's nervous and she is always nervous going to the groomers or the vet. This past Saturday Jody groomed Annie and really took her time with her, giving Annie lots of breaks to calm down. Annie turned out beautifully and didn't seem disheveled when we picked her up (although she was mad at me!). I highly recommend The Dog Stop and Jody!

Gave them 4 chances to get my pups grooming right. Berniece was the only one detailed enough to do a decent job. My final straw was my last appointment booked 5 weeks out with said groomer, the morning of appointment I was notified(this also happened before) that she was off that day. Advising them I still needed to get it done I brought the puppy in at 12 and he wasn’t ready until 5:30 and still wasn’t groomed properly. They gave me a 20% discount. Never again. Pathetic customer service.

This place used to be so good! They have gone down so much recently. Boarded my dog for a week and scheduled to have him groomed on pickup day. Not only did they not groom him the manager lied to me and said he had an exit bath. It took forever for her to bring him out and then I realized why. They did not do the exit bath that comes with a week of boarding they sprayed perfume on him and brought him out. If they are lying to costumers and not doing the job you paid for how do you think they are treating our pets when we are not around. Beware!! Will not be using this place again.

I had a family emergency and needed to board my very active dog. Bear loved his experience. He was well cared for and happy. I can highly recommend Dog Stop to anyone who needs overnight boarding or doggie daycare. They also provide a variety of services to ensure your dog has the best experience possible.
