This Dollar General store is very convenient for my family, it's only a few miles away from home. Good prices and a good selection of items. A very good selection of frozen and refrigerated foods since they put coolers along the entire far right wall. My favorite part is the dollar aisle where you can almost always find what you need for only a dollar.

This particular location is as close as you can get to Wal-Mart without the massive rude crowds. They have more of a grocery selection than any other location in town, and so far as dollar general is concerned as a whole, they seem to be better staffed than most locations. Nice that they have a Redbox at this location as well. I only dropper a star for one reason, and it is an issue with EVERY location they have, and that is the way they store back stock on carts in the middle off the isles all over the store. You have enough of a selection to warrant people filling shopping carts, but you block up all the isles like you don't have a back room for storage and it makes it darn near impossible to navigate with a cart, especially during busy times.

This particular visit may be my last visit to the Lacombe Store. I stood at the register for 5-6 minutes before I heard a voice from Wall the way in the back of the store hollering, "I will up there in just a few minutes." I waited another 3-4 minutes before I decided thia is my time and this shouldn't be happening. So, I left. I only had one item, and I left that on the counter, but I don't think it is fair to me, or any customer.

My favorite dollar General,they always have prompt customer service friendly staff great sales and very covient for a quick commute for those who travel between lacombe and slidell areas..always clean including restrooms ibdoors and outdoors shopping clearence items on the outside of stores just love the store!!!!

Only one cashier .Too slow if cashier been going there 14 years now ..I don't stop at that location anymore ..They stealing so bad .the prices are steady going up .SOMETHING needs to be done ..security or something .Store is dirty . and they run out of merchandise.thumbs down West Lacombe store

I keep trying to patronize this store, but it's not easy. I generally go to the Dollar General on the east side, in Oaklawn, because it seems cleaner, and sells beer and wine.

This store seems to be more expensive than the one in Mandeville. The staff here leaves alot to the imagination.
