Almost anything you need to cook authentic local dishes are here, and the best Louisiana has to offer. We also purchased some of the best chicken skins you'll ever eat! The folks who were working today (3/20/24) were very welcoming, and attentive to our questions and purchases.

From out of state…Came to Krotz Springs solely for the smoked boudin. We wanted to compare a few of the local boudin stores. The Smoked Boudin here was good. Very Smokey and spicy. More mushy than others and the casing was more tough. I still enjoyed it but I got the impression that it wasn’t as fresh as others. It was unevenly balanced in temperature. Parts were piping hot… parts cool. The flavor is better than others tho. Overall… delicious and very friendly staff!

Yessssss!!! We were headed to the other boudin place and decided to stop here instead. Best decision EVER!! That boudin, chicken cracklin and hog cracklin is some of the best i've ever had! And the customer service was awesome!!! There was a man inside selling seasoning and it is also amazing! Get ya some! (Old cypress cajun seasoning)

They have great food and meat options it's a little overpriced and a little over peppered for me. I usually rinse some of the season off before cooking the stuffed meat. They have good boudin and smoked boudin is delicious! Good food in the hot box if you're stopping, though, and need a quick fix.

Absolutely delicious I love getting the boil in the bag chicken and gumbo meals they only take 15 minutes place the bag in the boiling water that's it and you have a full meal just add rice in the flavor is so good not too spicy just a little bit of kick in the sausage it is definitely worth the price which is probably anywhere from 10:15 per bag I'd say it's enough for about three to four people if you broke up all the meats or two people if you didn't it's worth it to me

Great place to get great frozen dishes of homemade (frozen but fully cooked) &/or pre-prepared (uncooked but seasoned to perfection and ready for you to cook yourself) south louisiana comfort food (real "cajun food" at its best!). They also have some ready to eat treats too, like cracklin and smoked sausage; both of which I highly, highly recommend!!We have a few delis (for lack of a better word) like this in the region, but this one is one of the best.I was going to visit a friend that moved to Mississippi some years ago. He asked to stop there to pick up some of his favorites (like seafood gumbo, crawfish pie, and pork stuff bell peppers to name a few).I had not been there before, but i tell u what; I will be going back there, for sure!

I stopped by there today on my way back home to Houston, first time visiting there. I messed up and only bought 2 of their pepper jack boudin balls. Four words only for them boys, OH MY GOD; WOW!!!!YOU HAVE TO STOP THERE AND GET SOME!!!But you better get more than I did, will be making a 3 hr drive back there real soon to get more, this time a dozen of them.Just fried up some the alligator filets I got there to, waiting to cook up the frog legs and crawfish & rice stuffed chicken I got there to. 💪💪💪

There Cracklins are by far the best !! I travel often all through Louisiana and stop at different places trying there Cracklins and most places there good than the next time not so good. Of all the places, This place is Great Everytime!! Hands down

Cajun Slim Jim and a full selection of smoked sausage. But it does not stop there.... chicken every kind of way, pork roast to die for. They love meat and you will not find a better way selection. Your problem will be how much can I get and then when can I come back to try what I left behind. You have to see it to believe what this little store front has to offer. 10 times the space in the back where the magic takes place. Do not hesitate, go now.

Best place to get meat. They have a great variety and everything is delicious. We get the soups also which are easy to heat and taste wonderful. We live in Alabama and still make the trip there every couple months to stock up on things. The people that work there are friendly and helpful. Once you try it you'll be hooked too.

It's amazing how much awesome they have in this little store. The Boudin balls, jalapeno cream cheese boudin wraps, cracklins, and boudin are always amazing. Not once have I purchased any of those items and they were anything but delicious. They also have specialty meat items like stuffed quail, stuffed rabbit, stuffed pork chops, stuffed jalapenos, and the list goes on and on.

Y’all. Truly some of the best boudin in the state. Perfectly spicy, seasoned so well, and good texture - and a snap on that first bite! So good. But the jalapeño cheese balls and rib bites are to die for toooo. Don’t choose! Get it all!

Never bought any of the packages meats here, but I've got friends who tell me it's all really good. I stop here every other week or so, though, just to get the rib bites, beef jerky, cracklins, or boudin. Staff's nice every time and the hot food is good. Stop and get something if you're passing through!

Stopped in on our way to Florida. Pepperjack jalapeno boudin was incredible. Not a big Cracklin fan but they suggested I try the chicken and it was quite tasty! The ladies were very friendly and I know ill stop everytime I pass through. You should too.

Visited Kartchner’s for the first time today. Purchased the pepper jack stuffed pork tenderloin and the stuffed jalapeño poppers. Both came out great on the grill. Got some smoked boudin and cracklings as well. All of it was top notch. Highly recommend.

Lindsay is the MVP— 5 star service! Got a late start Driving solo with a dog from BR to Dallas with family and friends requesting a stop at Kartchners for crawfish tails and Cajun meats to bring with me! Lindsay packed everything up for me ahead of time so my pup wouldn’t be in the hot car and I could quickly get back on the road! Been stopping here since college it’s the best!

I've been driving past here weekly for over a year now, not being able to stop because I haul hazmat. Finally, today, no hazmat, so I stopped, and boy am I glad I did. The crackling and beef jerky are the best I've ever had. YUM YUM get you some. Everyone working there are some of the most friendly people you will ever meet.
