Dealing with this company has been a nightmare. In Feb 2024, I called to pay a bill and change my address for billing and shipping. I verified the address had indeed been changed. I then asked to be transferred to respiratory to order CPAP supplies. I placed the order with Leah, and again verified the address had been changed. After not receiving my order I called in to inquire, it had been shipped to my old address. I asked for more information and what could be done to rectify and ship to the correct address, I was told they'd have to look into it and call me back. That was 2 weeks ago. I tried calling in again today and was on hold for over 10 minutes, no one answered the phone. I think it's easier to order my supplies online and pay for them myself than to deal with this provider my insurance company so thoughtfully chose for me. It's now the end of April 2024 and I don't have any resolution from Duramed.

Their staff in the Kenner location do not know how to answer a telephone and neither give customer satisfaction via correct telephone numbers for transfers. My first call, I told them I wanted diabetic orthopedic shoes and did they handle these..."just a moment and I will connect you" to a number which rang 4 times and heard "this extension's mailbox is full" click. I called back again and a different voice came on line as I explained the above and said " who did you talk to?" I will now connect you...put me on a brief hold and then hung up. The third time I called I asked "to whom am I speaking?" as I wanted a name for the next screw up, "Renee" I was told, and I asked for the diabetic orthopedic shoe department and was told that is in a different town, Gretna on the West Bank" to which I said may I have that telephone number? My reply was call back and press option 6 and hung up. So, I called back and there was no option 6, but option 5 said orthopedic shoes in our Gretna location. So, I pressed 5 and got the same 4 rings and this mailbox is full and hung up message. Since, these fine folks seemingly do not need my business I will try another provider who might be more receptive to the customer.

The absolute worst. Takes an unacceptable amount of time to get a live person on the phone. When you do get someone, they cut you off while you are speaking to transfer you to someone else who transfers you back. The most unprofessional company I have ever come across.

Never again!! My doc suggested I used them but also warned that when I missed their call to call them right back or they either won't call back or take forever in doing so. Imagine my doctor says this. I finally got scheduled for them not to have anything new in the system. I had to go to my 5th and 6th options. No one likes to answer the phone, check voice mail, wait on customers or offer any real assistance. When I finally got someone on the phone to schedule an appointment for pick-up my items I was made to feel like I was bothering them. The lady who answered the phone was sarcastic and seemed like she was going to intentionally not help me. I've already waited months for something they said would take maybe 2 weeks. 2 months later I am now waiting another month extra for my appointment just to pick up an item. There is nothing about this company that seems to be efficient. It's almost like they go out of the way not to be. The vibe is snarky, rude and totally unconcerned. Hope I won't need anymore medical supplies and if I do it will NOT be from this company, at least not this location.

Very slow to get shoes. Cannot give you any time shoes will be in. Told at time of purchase 3 to 4 weeks now told 6 to 8 weeks ordered in August 22nd 2023 hope it will get here by the 22nd of October. Last year same problem People's Health needs to get different company.

Authorization for CPAP supplies is supposed to be simple. It's been almost a flipping month since they first faxes the paper to my Dr's office. One of my drs claims to have already filled it out & faxed it back. Duramed says they never received it. I had them resend it, but changed the Dr's name (same office). That dr said they never received it. Duramed is now refusing to try to send it again. My drs office says they need the paper to fill out. I guess im going to have to pick up the paper & bring it to my drs myself & bring it back to duramed if that's even possibleI called in cpap supplies 9/5 by 9/8 I realized I didn't recieve a notification from USPS informed delivery stating something was on the way. I then called back on 9/8 to check on things. I was then told I needed autherization. I got that handled, 2-3 days later my supplies show up at my door. I go to change to sanatize and change things only to see supplies that are 2 sizes too big were sent. Called back the next day. Dude with very little training answers the phone claimimg I need autherization yet again. I told him that's NOT right, I just got autherization. He tells me he's gonna get it handled. That was a week ago, now I'm on week 2. I called monday & he tells me "they're backed up" I ask him to check my account and once my account is in front of him he says autherization is still needed. I once again tell him that's not right. He admits to NOT KNOWING WHAT HE'S DOING BECAUSE HE WASN'T TRAINED ON EVERYTHING.THESE PEOPLE GIVE RANDOS THAT DON'T KNOW WHAT THEY ARE DOING COMPLETE ACCESS TO OUR MEDICAL INFO AND WILL STRAIGHT UP SAY I DONT KNOW WHAT TO DO!!

I have been waiting for my mask now for 4 weeks. Each time I call, they say "sure no problem, we will get it in the mail". Now they say that my prescription is expired. And I had to call to get that information from them. They should have called me to tell me or at least looked it up before saying they would send the mask. And getting a new prescription signed is one of their duties. They could have just done it the first time if they knew it was expired.

A woman who identified herself as a supervisor was incredibly rude and unhelpful. She told me that many people have been upset with her and that their fax machine was down for 2 weeks after the storm. I was required to get a letter faxed from my mother’s physician for them to service her scooter which is only a year old, and on which she relies to move around. She eventually hung up on me. There is no excuse for this unprofessional behavior and lack of service.

I used Duramed because my mom's insurance sent us there. I ordered compression socks for my mom in December. I finally received the socks yesterday (March 5th). I had to continuously follow up with them as dates given passed. They never initiated any calls of explanation, I always had to call them. After all that, the socks were ordered in the wrong color. Although they were very nice their customer service skills lacked.

'Brought my CPAP rx to have a machine dispensed. They told me the insurance authorization should be handled in 2 days. A few days later I called them and was told the request was still being processed. A week later I stopped by and they told me they thought I was moving, and put the request on hold (I wasn't moving, had never told them I was moving, and they never asked). 2 weeks later I called them and a rep said no one had ever performed a request from my insurance.When the machine finally was dispensed, they told me I could bring in the mask for up to 30 days to swap for a different one if I wanted. After 2 nights of the mask irritating my nose, I decided to swap out. When I called to request this, they gave me the number for the CPAP manufacturer and told me to call them. I was very disappointed every step of the way with this company.

I do my business with Duramed because they are located so close to my home. Being a caretaker I need it to be that easy. However, I really am not satisfied with their service. When I go in to the location on the Westbank the women who work there are usually very stand offish, rarely make you feel welcomed. When I telephone the Kenner location the voicemail says to select a certain number for general information and then it tells you no one is available. I have to telephone repeatedly before I can get assistance. I think whoever manages Duramed is dropping the ball. If its the owner shame on them. They should hire a good manager. Get the staff at the Westbank to be nicer and get their phone service in Kenner up to par.

What cassandra said i went through exact same thing wrong color matter if fact wrong item was ordered i was told it would be ordered for overnight shipment since wrong item was ordered after waiting 3 months for wrong item the overnight shipment has now turned into 7 business days went picked my prescription up i will be going else where i will never use this place again. lie after lie do yourself a favor just go somewhere else for products

They are very quick to drop off equipment and start the billing process; however, they are very slow to pick it up. Can't wait to see if they are still charging after the request for pick up was placed.

After being sized for compression stockings by Ragan I received the wrong size . Later I tried to reorder a pair that would fit me, and again the wrong thing was ordered by the same person.

They keep sending me a bill for my husband Commode and he has insurance. I was trying to call about it and they had me on hold for 3 minutes until it ringed again and they still didn't answer.

Not very happy with the way the warranty issues are being handled on my dad's 9 month old scooter,told one thing at purchase now being told we have to come out of pocket,meanwhile pops is robbed of his freedom of mobility until they can get a tech out,then Lord knows how long before they get the part and fix it
