Unresponsive customer service. Placed an order for some shrimp and aquatic plants on March 13th and haven't heard from any of their team since then. Attempted to contact them twice via email. No response. Called the store twice. Was told nobody there could help me but that the owner would reach out. Never heard back. I'm sure they have a great selection of items that consumers would enjoy but it's unfortunate I'll never get to see any of it since they can't be bothered to provide customer support.

Did a pit stop while heading back home to Thibodaux. My tank isn’t ready for fish but I like to peep in LFS from time to time.I was amazed by the vast size of the store. From fresh water to marine they have it all. Equipment of all sorts with prices for all budgets.The manager was super chilled and showed me around the store and all the corals and future plans for the store.This was the larges Aquatic store I’ve ever seen in my 40+ years. I do plan to make it back to get some products one my tank is up and running.A++

So here's the reality: I never went to sealife before the new location, and this is an honest review as i always do)I've read the reviews and went anyway. If you want corporate adherence to rules and staff that are more professional than knowledgeable, go to a chain. I prefer the more relaxed atmosphere of mom and pop shops like this one. I listened to a staff member here trying to educate and warn a customer what they wanted to buy would get killed with the fish they already had(fyi a chain won't do that they'll just sell you the fish and tell you too bad when you bring it back )The tanks seem like fairly newly set up, and they were working on making more area for set ups.There were a few algae bloom tanks and dead pulls but that's kind of the nature of the business when you're setting up new/moving even established tanks and tanks are still somewhat new you get algae blooms and periodic issues as well as shipping stress. There were NO mass dead as described in other reviews. And they were actively monitoring and pulling the ones I did see.All of the fish I saw were active/had feeding responses and great color, and I saw no indication of actual illness beyond basic failure to thrive/shipping stress that CANNOT be helped.The staff immediately greeted me, and while the kid helping me was green, he had great initiative if he didn't know he was asking his senior team which I prefer over the chain stores who want to just b/s you about whatever they think. He was patient with me wanting to look around.The senior team seemed friendly and helpful as well as open to identification questions and general friendly chatting.The fish I got are well colored active and were trying to graze when I got them home with no signs of illness. I will be back to buy again in the future and I recommend you do the same.

I was super impressed with this place. The variety of fresh water and salt water species is the best in the area. No other pet store or aquatic store can top this place. Also, Ken was really helpful and knowledgeable so thank you.

This used to be the cleanest best shop in town. Livestock and tanks were top notch. Went to the shop for the first time since they moved.......took 5 minutes to realize there are new owners. Big disappointment.

Prices vary, sometimes you’ll pay more than usual, sometimes less. Employees are helpful and knowledgeable, though sometimes and can be hard to get a hold of an employee (only because they’re busy)They’ll let you know if they think the fish you want is the right fit for your tank and aren’t after your money. I haven’t gotten a sick fish from them (that I know of). Large variety of fish to choose from

I can't say enough good things about this store. Tim and crew are extremely polite, very knowledgeable, and don't just sell you anything your willing to buy. They discuss what's best for your system and offer the best equipment for your system. Very clean and modern store.

We shop almost exclusively here. The variety and health of the fish are the best we've seen. We have never had any issues with sick fish and never have to quarantine anything we buy before adding it to our community tanks. Their prices are the highest in town, but again because the fish are all so healthy, we pay the prices happily.Actually getting help from staff is very hit or miss. Sometimes we wait for 10 or more minutes and just leave because we seem invisible (even when the store is empty). Other times after waiting for about the same amount of time, we'll eventually get help. The staff is quite knowledgeable about what they sell, though not always the nicest when relaying the information.

Always a quality experience. Very well versed staff. Care about the animals not the sales. Excellent variety and honestly it is fun to just go and look at all the awesome fish they have. I don't go anywhere else for my fish. Even after relocating I drive to this store.

Quite a beautiful store. I've spent the last 6 months buying supplies and fish from them since they have some of the best selections around. I know they are very busy people however, I can't ever shake a feeling I get in the store that they could be more open and friendly.I've left a few times feeling a little cold since I frequent there and feel somewhat invisible/ignored by some staff. Sometimes a friendly "hello, welcome to our store", or "how are you?" can go a long way in making visitors comfortable.Other fish stores in the area have a friendly, welcoming vibe to them that makes you want to stay. Recently however, I've been feeling like "lets just get my stuff and get out of here".It sucks because this store is easily a 5 star in almost every respect and if they paid as much attention to their customers as they do the look of the store it would always have been my one stop for aquarium needs.

This was our second time visiting this reef shop. We have never been disappointed and are definitely making the trip from Alabama to come back more often. The guys there were extremely knowledgeable and patient. Full of information and positive attitudes. Great prices and BEAUTIFUL quality stuff! Highly highly recommend! 👍🏼

I'm a fairly shy person and can have difficulty approaching staff for help. No matter how busy the store is, every employee I've approached has always done a great job of answering my question or attempting to, if they're unable they always find an additional resource. I like how helpful everyone is and I was very surprised when I think it was the owner(?) recognized me as a repeat visitor despite not having spoken to him in the past.All the livestock I've purchased from this store have been healthy and continue to do well. From time to time, they do have a sick or dead fish floating in display, but I think they do an excellent job of keeping the displays as clean as possible overall.I plan to support this store as much as possible because I can tell the employees care about the fish in the store. :)

Randomly saw street sign and just decided to check it out. This place is a gem! Staff was knowledgeable and helpful. Displays were very well kept and animal seemed to be taken care of. Even noticed several areas that were marked not for sale yet as store is trying to do right by customers and ensure best animal health before purchase. Don't see many stores do that anymore. Lots of equipment too from lights to micro aquarium to large home set ups. Very impressive, I will be back, next time with friends.

Owners were too busy talking to customers (who walked in after us) they were ripping off with tank setups. The one employee helping everyone on sales floor was rude, but because he was taking care of literally every other customer in the building, we waited 30 mins before asking the guy if anyone was available to come help. His response was he had other people waiting.We walked out and will not be returning.The couple of times I’ve been here haven’t been the best but I was still giving this place a shot. After this absolutely not, lost me and everyone I talk to as a customer.

Truly the best store I have ever been in for reef and freshwater aquarium . This is hands down the best store I have ever seen. They truly care about their livestock and their customers. They go out of their way to help me every time I am there. I am there a lot too. Their fish are very healthy and so are the corals. I drive 45 minutes to go to this wonderful store to get everything I need for my aquariums. We have a 200 gallon reef and 55 fresh and they have everything I need. Their staff are wonderful and friendly. When we go in it's like family. Thanks for all you do for us and my fishy friends. Shout out to Frank, Tim and Justin. You guys are great. I would give you a million stars if that was an option. You won't be disappointed going here.

Aquatic Sealife is by far the best aquarium store around. I live in Slidell and travel to this store each and every time I need something. The quality of both marine life and aquarium products is top of the line. The customer service is phenomenal. Corey is usually the one helping me and he’s simply amazing. He is knowledgeable, friendly, always knows how to best help me make decisions for my aquarium. His passion for the business as a whole is quite clear. I couldn’t imagine shopping anywhere else.

The place is great, unfortunately there's always a long wait to get help in the fresh water dept. I'm sure they make the bulk of their money on saltwater but it gets pretty frustrating waiting 15-20 minutes for $30 in grass shrimp. They keep the grass shrimp and feeder guppies in same tank so the employees have to pick out all of the guppies which takes forever! I don't want feeder guppies mixed with my fancies so they must hate when I come in there. I just wish they would cater to fresh as much as they do salt water.

Owners work in the store everyday. The employees are extremely knowledgeable, and everybody is super friendly. They have many fish species to choose from. Great hardscape and decoration items as well as plants. They also have very beautiful tanks on display. You won't be disappointed.

Wonderful aquarium store! Tons of beautiful fish in immaculately kept tanks! Lots of supplies, all the best. Prices are a little high but you get what you pay for I'd say. I've been in a lot of pet shops and aquarium stores in my life and this is probably one of the best I've seen. Definitely will be back when we're setting up our next tank!
